  2. I love you to death Rick and have nothing personal against HD'S but. Talking about spliting a engine at 45k miles to rebuild and replace hard parts and talking that it's just what you have to do with said make. Then coming on a forum and blasting another manufacturers bikes just sounds flipping insane to me. My bike has almost 45k on it and I plan on going at least 55k more before I would even think to worry about internal parts. Hell Dan puts 111k plus on a 650 v twin sport bike engine that never in a million years would have been design for such mileage all with out touching the internal s (minus a valve adjustment). I have nothing against HD and I think they are beautiful bikes and it's all a style thing and personal preference. Keep in mind you pulled the trigger first on this debate by saying our bikes won't last as long. And I agree there are garage queens with all makes and I'll also agree that you have to maintain your ride. But where I disagree is mile per mile a HD bike can not hold its ground on reliability to most other makes with out major mechanical upkeep. And if you start talking dollars and cents they aren't even on the same planet.

  3. That reminds me of the time my Internet wasn't working and TWC'S automated phone help line refereed me to the trouble shooting guide on their web site. I was like WHAT?

  5. Had my first call with one of my clients....people warned me this client was "not a good one" and "they burn through people". I thought they were blowing things out of proportion, until I felt this new level of Hostile. I have not felt that kind of angst and pure combativeness since I spoke to my ex-wife(more than a decade ago). These people make my former boss at CSCC(an angry little Frenchman) look like a kindergarten teacher. I sincerely hope I can get this workload and jobsite under control.

  11. Easy way to tell if it's good is to take a piece an bend it. If it starts to spilt an not just bend its done.

  12. I finally made a batch of jerky yesterday. It was super easy & came out awesome. The only hard part is telling when it's done. You can't really tell how firm or dry it is until you take it out of the dehydrator and let it cool for an hour. It took about 5 1/2 hours in my cheapie, $40 dehydrator.

  18. Heated gloves are the bomb. If you get just gloves you have to run a wire down each sleeve of your jacket. It becomes a real PITA. I suggest a heated jacket liner and gloves, then the gloves just plug into the liner. And get a dual control setup so you can crank the gloves and put the jacket lower. I just spent about 400 bucks of your money. But for me it was worth every penny.
