  7. Another option is DuPont Teflon Chain-Saver. It is a wax based chain lube, but dries in 30 min or less. It goes on quick like WD40 and dries really fast, but leaves a very light white film on the chain probably due to the molybdenum. It will not fling and is not sticky. Great for anything including dirt bikes and ATVs.

  9. Rode today. No rain. Cleveland had snow though, so with Tonik we may be screwed.

  10. Consider switching to chain wax next time you need a can. Put it on while the chain is hot, let it sit overnight. Outstanding lubrication and virtually no fling if you put it on hot and let it sit overnight.

  11. Below is his group down. I see two options, you leave early Wed and hike in WV then meet us in Beckley at 330 or meet us Wed night in Marion VA. Or ride Wed and Thrus with us, ditch us in Maggie Valley before the museum then head to Fontana on your own. I THINK you can get to Cades Cove for your hike easily. Abrams Falls Trail.

  12. Lots of misinformation and ignorant opinions out there. WD40 will not harm a chain in any way and cleans as well as kerosene.

  15. yeah, unless it's something really easy to move (iphones, ipads, certain types of bikes), CL is basically 95% full of turds who think they're on pawn stars or just plain retarded. some of my best "how do these fucking idiots manage to breathe?" stories are because of CL.

  19. God I... Craigslist people. Craigslist Douche Bag: Will you take 2,100? Me: No. CLDB: Will you take 2,200? Me: No. CLDB: What the fuck dude, it's a 2014 and you can get them brand new for $3,300. Me: Actually it's a 2015, and if that's the case go buy a new one. CLDB: Fuck you man I hope you crash it. Me: Well, at least if I crash it, after my 250 deductible, I'll probably still have more money from it than you are offering me. 3 days later... CLDB: Will you take 2,600? Me: No but I will take 2,800... CLDB: fuck you dude.

  20. Cherohola Skyway was epic today. No cops, no slow HD's other than the ones behind me, no campers or slow ass drivers. I didn't have to pass a single car or slow bike. Beautiful weather a little cool bit that is prefered. Never had a better day on that beautiful road.

  27. Nice Warbird! It is on my list. Others on the list are Niner RLT 9 and Specialized Crux. I don't care to do any CX Races, but gravel races have me interested! Thanks for the input, when we doing OR ride?!?!

  28. I primarily ride a Salsa Warbird when cycling. Ohio gravel grinders on facebook is very active with rides nearly every weekend. They are usually within an hour of columbus, so I havn't met too many of them. If you are buying new and not interested in cross racing I would suggest getting a gravel bike rather than a cross bike. Most have better clearance for the comfortable 40mm tires and a geometry designed more for long distance comfort rather than tight handling. I have been to a couple gravel races and many of the riders are on cross bikes with quite a few on hardtail MTBs. A guy on a road bike with 25mm tires took 3rd in the last race I ran. Gravel is a nice way to cycle as you seldom encounter autos and the scenery is often great.
