Same here...we were fully loaded too - probably about the best I could expect out of the Tenere. I was in the zone...between the new pavement, the scenery, the weather and the tunes I had going, probably one of the best times I ever had on a bike. I wish I had been running the GoPro, I would've gotten some epic video of you and Justin.2 points

Got home last night about 6. 1750 miles for the trip. I'm in surprising good shape this morning. Thanks @Tonik for putting this together and being the ride leader. I greatly improved my riding on this trip, my first real trip on these kinds of roads. Craig2 points

Well, to explain my antics... This was in the fall of 2002. I had just recently purchased a new 660 Grizzly. The thing would actually do whoolies. This is nothing nowadays, but back then you didn't see a big 4x4 CVT quad doing wheel stands. There was a pack of Honda Foremans 'mirin as as was approaching so I decided to show my ass a bit to them and stand that beast up for about 20 yards. It was a low speed affair. I had been there several times before and many after without any inclination of squidding in the parking lot. For some reason that day though...I guess I thought I'd be Mr cool. Ended up being Mr fool instead.1 point

Same here, that trip across the Skyway was the fastest Ive ever taken it. And the second half trip me and Dan did on the dragon was the hardest Ive ever gone on it too. And I have the flat spots on my hard parts and pegs to prove it. First trip across the dragon I did my usual comfortable pace and felt I left too much out there so I had to have another go. :1 point

So you're one of those parking lot racers! Do you also ride sleeveless and visorless? lol1 point

That was probably the fastest/highest level of shenanigans I have ever done that trip. And i got the tire invoice to prove it.1 point

Since, I hurt my arm I've been riding a V Star. After that, this Honda would feel like a MotoGP bike1 point

I like that a lot. I'd have to slap on some bar end mirrors and tidy that tail up a bit though. The best part of this style of bike is you can really make it your own with a few mods.1 point

Nice pictures! On another note, apparently two bikes collided Saturday around 11AM and went over the side together. They were not found until Sunday 24 hours later! One died and one airlifted out. Always my worry at the gap...you can do everything perfect and someone else will take you out.1 point
