  1. I can't answer your question (although I suspect it'll just be bones), but this has to be the best thread title of the year.

  3. Well, had a little set back and gained bout 6 lbs over 2 weekends with the Gap tip and a weekend with the wife. But I have rebounded from that and back to 249. I want to drop the next 9 lbs before Thanksgiving and 19 lbs by Jan. 7th. That might be a tall order with the holidays but I'm always up for a challenge. Brought the recumbent bike out of the bedroom and stuck it right in front of my recliner in the living room, plus I'm on 12 hour shifts at work probe for the next month that should help too. BTW, my wife is down 90 lbs., she lost 45 pre surgery between Feb and Aug, and has lost 45lbs post surgery since the end of Aug. She's doing real well with it, but her body is still adjusting to the change. She has no regrets on doing it and looks fucking wonderful.

  6. The truck is waiting for engine and transmission. It was all together with a stock 5.3 LS and burnt up the stock transmission. Now fully built transmission and motor with cam & heads, stud kit and new bearings. Truck runs full factory fuel injection with braided lines front to back for fuel. Going to be running a Flex fuel pump good for 650hp. Transmission cooler mounted underside of the bed with braided hoses. Custom wiring harness and tune from Current Performance. All factory gauges work with no lights on dash and has A/C. I am hoping to be somewhere close to 500 to the wheels. I got this truck when I was 15, bone stock. It has came a long way, First time we painted it, i was hit on 339 head on and totaled it. I replaced the frame and went through all the salvage title stuff just to keep it. Stock 4.3 let go at 215,000 miles, I've been doing the LS swap stuff for 2 1/2 years now, but it becomes back burner to motorcycles. April 2009 June 2009 2010 And yes, everything is a tight fit.

  7. We had my son in daycare from 3mo old onwards. I always wound up with daycare duty, either to and/or from. It was a rare day that I didn't have to take him to/from daycare. That meant no commuting on the bike - which was my main reason for riding. When he went to school he rode the bus in the mornings - but he had to stay late in the latchkey program until I could get him from work. I would bike commute then swap the bike for my car when I got home, then drove to pick him up from school (just a couple miles from the house) Summers saw him in summer camp for 9 weeks - no riding there either. Until he got old enough to ride regularly, about 8years old. Then I could ride again.

  13. Woohoo! We secured a 300 acre hunting lease. Couple ponds "supposed" to be bear, pig, duck, dear. Hunt clubs r a too common thing in NC.

  14. Oh, those white cylinder heads. His idea. I'm having fun telling his buddies they're "Refrigidare Racing Heads". They do have the big valves with some mild polishing of the exhaust ports and some careful shaping of the intakes.

  15. Not mine but might as well be. Oldest boy has a foxbody Mustang he's building (off and on). Motor is done and in the car. 302 with 10:1 pistons, forged rods and crank, a torque orientated cam with hydro roller lifters. Sitting in the garage is a 9" Ford rear end about to receive 3:73 gears. Not really a strip car but I'm looking forward to seeing some slips from Edgewater. Not what I would have chose to build (I'm a Pontiac freak), but what the hell...it'll do what a car should do...make the owner grin.

  17. There will be a point during the pregnancy where the child will no longer be protected by gear. I'd ask for the advice of a bike-friendly OB. For me, once there was a obvious baby bump I'd be advising against riding simply because the gear won't protect against a blunt force impact to the belly. But I'm not a doctor, nor a woman, so my opinion is worth less than what you paid for it. I had my son riding on the back of my bike at age 6 or 7. I got hated on for that by many folks. Oh well. Hypothetical congratulations, BTW. :-)

  18. my current #2 name for my son is "nacho". Although, I think "winter" would also be an excellent name, so I'll throw that to the top of the list pile. "Winter is coming" would work for SOOOOO many things, even later in life.

  20. I rode up until my gear didn't fit anymore @ 5 months with my first and probably for about 2 months with my second (then it snowed so it worked out). Mary

  22. lulz....hence the reason why i put "my opinion" all over the posts....I have this horrid feeling that this country is going toward true socialism and i have a problem with it

  23. That's what happens when you create a dependency class of people. They've been given EVERYTHING for so many generations that they have now come to EXPECT everything be given to them. Its no longer "assistance" but an entitlement to them. Not to drag up an old thread, but the Somali's that were busted for grub stub fraud took what, $3,000,000? How much to you think this ungreatful bitch has sucked from the government in 57 years? There's really only one way to fix it - STOP GIVING SHIT AWAY!
