I'm out riding a long loop Sunday and I wanted to finish the ride by heading east on 147 from 9 over to Bellaire to slab back home. When I get to Centerville where 9 and 147 intersect there are road closed signs on 147.It said 14 miles until the closure point so I thought, what the hell I can ride most of it and either turn around or take some of the recently paved county roads around Key.The closure is on the flat area just out side of Bellaire! This means you will have all those great esses on the hill going out of Bellaire to yourself as long as the road remains closed.Since all the fracking traffic has picked up in that area I always feel lucky when I get a clean run up/down that section of 147,now it's almost a sure thing. Just a heads up to all the people that are heading down to 536 from the north.9 and 145 are also recently paved which will take you to 147 from 556 at Beallsville. The new pavement on 145 starts at the county line, about 2 miles out of town.2 points

Where are you on this party thing? Katie and I bought a new house recently. 2 acres, two garages, big driveway, fire pit, chill neighbors. 10 minutes from convention center. If you were planning on trashing some other venue, all good, just throwing our place out there.2 points

I'd go for an aftermarket set before spending $10 on a single stock grip. I might just do that. I could get Spider Peaks for about $15.1 point

It sounds like you're trying to save money on something inexpensive. If you were looking for something pricier, then it makes sense, but trying to save $5 when you'd really be spending $10 seems silly. But that's just my opinion. Grips aren't THAT difficult to install - I mean they're a giant pain in the ass - I changed the bars on my 2011 650R myself & I didn't really know what I was doing at all. You want one left grip because you think you'll change out the bars? How often are you thinking you'll swap the bars? I got the lower bars for my 650 because I felt like I was being blown all over when riding on the highway. And what's funny is that now I ride a bike with no wind protection at all. lol Stop overthinking your purchase and just get a new set of aftermarket grips... then you could spend less time debating it here with these savages and more time riding your bike.1 point

Contact your Reps gang...we got a bill for real. This is huge. The bill is real and alive. We need to show up en-mass when it goes to hearing. I know from past experience that the reps will gauge how important something is based on the number of supporters in the room. https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/legislation/legislation-summary?id=GA132-HB-2801 point

Welcome to the forums. My only tip is to stay humble on the bike. Trust me, probably contrary to your own belief, you don't know everything about riding motorcycles, so always be willing to learn and improve while riding. Don't get cocky because the moment you think you are in full control is the moment you find yourself on your ass wondering what the hell just happened. Stay safe and wear gear. Maybe we can get together some time and ride.1 point

Welcome little brother. Ride a lot put many miles, once you have around 2-3K miles of seo twisty under your belt join up some group rides. If you don't have at least that much twisty exp, and If you jump into one of the group rides posted in this forum as medium to med fast to fast to machretard pacing you will crash. Almost all if not the majority of active members here are kinda mature grumpy old school folks. Short version is, bloody aging, highway hating, mile munching, twisty ripping, atgatting, constant hazing, sport touring, speed breaking, boring bunch of nature boys .... Wooooooooooooooooo1 point
