  1. I thought you'd laud the attempt to dump on Casper in a totally unrelated thread that will survive for at least the next 8 months.

  2. I suppose I could pull the bags off the FJR and tape it up.....

  3. I have to ride one. All the points Qman listed are reasons I love my bike. I'm not into cars that much, so make them all electric for all I care. You can have my mechanical Desmo valvetrain when you pry it from my old, arthritic hands.

  4. Date: July 2, 2018 Due to the popularity of the last OR track day, why not do it again in 2018? If you are on the fence about doing your first track day, this is the perfect opportunity to get a taste. There will be plenty of other members there with a vast amount of knowledge that will be happy to help/ provide guidance. I know a few of the members that joined us last year had a blast/ way more fun than they thought they would, and some of those same members may or may not be looking to get a bike to ride on the track. Dates haven't been posted yet and this thread will be update regularly. Since it's about to suck for the next few months, lets get some conversation started! For those of you that joined us last year, please provide feedback! Obviously Mid-Oho ultimately runs the day but if there is something that I can change/fix let me know. If you want more information: http://midohio.com/mid-ohio-courses/60-school/412-motorcycles Want to thank everyone that came out last year! A special thanks goes out to @J_Copeland for letting me ride that sexy Italian beast all day. Here are a few pictures that @DerekClouser and his fiance took last year.

  7. That's not my situation, just saying. There are worthwhile money pits and then there are boats.

  8. Minus the weight thing, if you took away the rest you might as well go drive an automatic base model civic! Shifting, clutching, noise, power band, vibration, heat, exhaust pipes are some of my favorite things!

  9. 100% in... little later in the year would be better for me as I'll be spending 10 days in May for my wedding. So middle June or after would work for me. The earlier I know the date the better too so I can plan all this vacation time -- <3 For anyone who hasn't done this before, please do not hesitate to make this your first one! So many OR people will do anything to help make your first track day the best it can be. Also, from what I'm told, Mid-Ohio also is one of the best novice structures around for all different levels of riders.

  12. One of the cool things about living out in the hills is that I can hop on the Mighty XR and just ride. No trailering or loading up the truck - just ride there....

  13. @RidersDiscount, Mike always has the deals. If he can't help you, check out the WERA classifieds for tons of used gear.

  14. Earlier would be good I think. More first timers in early means more opportunity to join in the fun at later dates.

  16. I have loads of room for trucks and trailers here at the house - better off trailering out. Crossing Kansas /Eastern Colorado sucks all sorts of balls. The house is right in the middle fo the good riding areas = great place to start and end your rides.
