Wanted to say thanks for setting up the trip Casper
Sorry I wasn't more social, but first time to the gap so I had to get the Dragon in as much as I could during the dry.
Was going to come hang out Saturday night by the fire but since I had to leave at 6am, I figured it best I stay away. If booze is around, I tend to drink it
Will be back next year wherever it may be on a different 2 stroke machine.
Bike is almost completely safety wired, just waiting on bits to arrive to drill the fill cap... Water wetter in, fuses pulled, lights taped. Plate removed.
About ready for Monday. Now just need to get the trailer ready.
The 190/55 will give you roughly 5-6mm more ride height in the back (190 x .55 = side wall height 104.5mm vs 180 x .55 = side wall height 99mm). The actual shape of the 190 can also change a bit when it's put on a narrower rim.
We've run a bunch of different sizes from 180/55-190/60 on our 675 and it takes a bit of set up change between the different tires. I personally always like the feel of the bike with the 180/55.
Yes, several times. Very slow, and it is a single direction traffic for most of it. The views are nice, it's cool to just see the overall size of the bridge structure. You, being the bridge man your are, would enjoy it.
I guess it's a good thing I didn't bring my camera with me when we rode the Dragon last week... I took 600+ pictures at PIRC on Monday during a track day... I'd probably still be in TN taking photos... wait, that doesn't really seem like a bad thing.
Yes, I have taken it and I think it is worth the detour. You can see the Bridge and Gorge from different angels. Great photo locations. Also on your way down to Marion, Do a quick lap around Burke's Garden. Interesting place with some history. YMMV
Okay, so what was the verdict on the waterlogged leather suit? Did anyone actually confirm that cows get loose skin after stampeding in a rainstorm?
Inquiring minds want to know....
Also, I had a great time hanging out with everyone. Good times.
