  2. I'm interested if you don't mind waiting at every stop

  3. I can be a bit of a hotel snob but not on a bike trip...these look fine to me. I like the ones we can walk to the store or get something to eat. You never know when you'll find a hottie in a kidnap van needing a jump start.

  4. Every time I think I'm over riding I sell my bike and about a week later I go FUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKK. I'm keeping everything, even if it means it rots in the garage haha. Come January, I might have a LOT more free time.

  5. Road 27 miles on Saturday and another 48ish yesterday on the fixed gear. This bike is either gonna make me a beast or kill me on the way.

  6. I was on my fixed gear with some roadies. Fifty miles with no gears or coasting. Did 27 miles the day before, same bike. Legs are tired.

  7. I took a run at hotels, tried to keep it cheap. I am willing to pay more but nothing wrong with any of these hotels. The links do not have the correct dates, fix it before any of you makes a reservation. Oct 18th Marion https://www.redlion.com/marion-va We have all stayed here before, you know what it is. Old but clean and quiet. Walk-able food and drinking. Oct 19th Asheville https://www.choicehotels.com/north-carolina/asheville/quality-inn-hotels/nc179?source=gyxt There is a Motel 6 across the street that is cheaper but the reviews say it is a shithole. Lots of food and drink nearby. Oct 20th https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/hotels/us/en/caryville/tyses/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-EX-_-US-_-TYSES Everything in that area is a shithole except this hotel. Plus we will be smarter in the morning. Waffle House and liquor store across the street. The links do not have the correct dates, fix it before you make a reservation.

  8. I need ABS on my bicycle. Almost got creamed yeaterday snowplowing the front through some pea gravel. I saved it, though. My bike handling skills are far superior to any offerings from Skynet.

  12. Hit our goal! We rode to the gym and back. New goal for next year is to ride to Tipp, about 45 miles round trip.

  13. I could list about 10 reasons that track doesn't interest me, but there's no point. I just doesn't. Riding has never been about being competitive for me. Shaving seconds in 20 minute bursts, doesn't check my boxes. The thought of endurance racing was mildly appealing at one time...but there's zero chance of me actually buying a race bike, trailer, or going through the process of becoming eligible to race. There's an interesting shitting story here though:
