What times is he running on the 390 at Pitt? I'm preparing myself to be humbled.

For what it's worth: Last 2 years I bought "fun cars". An e36 M3 and an e39 M5. Both cars were "fun".....exceptionally fun actually.............for cars. But they never came close to scratching the "itch". I find myself wandering around Cleveland when I'm bored on the bikes. I never just randomly cruised in the bmw's. Maybe once or twice when I first got them but then it turned into, well I have to go somewhere and can't take the bike but it's still nice out so I'll take the fun car. So far, I've always found myself going back to 2 wheels. And right now I'm plumb out of room for anything else or I'd be thinking about getting another M5 again, man that was a great car, don't think I'll ever own a better car. Chris, come be an I group hero with myself and a few others its a good time.

I still remember seeing him roll up in hot pit for an intermediate session. That didnt last long.

This upcoming year is going to be interesting in terms of vacation. I'll have 15 days including the 5 days I will roll over from this year. I know I'll probably spend much of my track time next year at Pitt Race and Nelsons as it's close and they run weekend days. Saying that out-loud makes me realize I may have time for another Gap trip next year. I need to get the suspension sorted on the SV or, get myself another super-sport. And a grom, because well, I've been wanting to ride a small bike on the Dragon.

Fuck I miss that bike.

I was cool with the Fontana cabin we got last year. No rats or slow drains. Having 28 on my front doorstep was cool also as I took a day by myself to run the dragon and 28 all day. Well maybe not all day, I made my way to the skyway that day too and had it all to myself.

Gavin is a hell of a rider. It was unfortunate that he had some bad luck at the Pitt Race round where I was actually able to see him race in person! Look forward to following him next season, and maybe @MidgetTodd will actually take us over to the pits next time to introduce us!

Yea it was around that price with Sam Wang/ LEAN Trackdays. N2 doesnt go to Nelsons, only LEAN right now from my knowledge.

Mine's an 03 with an 06 motor in it. GSXR750 front suspension, zx14 rear shock. GSXR750 wheelset. Bunch of other goodies. I think the '03 holds true for honda and FI, not sure about suzuki. Actually don't quote me on either.

For sure cheaper. Without a track day package from N2, Pitt Race is like $205 a day. Prices vary from $155 to $205ish a day. Cant speak for any other org other than N2.

I personally wouldn't even consider the EX's. I've never ridden one but I'd venture to say the SV would blow either out of the water. I'm not sure if I've ever seen either of those at a track or race day. You are correct on the SV650 race competitiveness. A lot of those guys that race SV's are freaking fast. I still would choose an SV over an F2 or F3. The FZ6, might as well go for an older but still fuel injected r6, it would be a better platform to start imo. Bottom line: You can find SV's cheap all day. You can find SV parts all day. SV's are fast enough. What is your budget? Street legal bikes or track bikes with the potential to go back onto the street will always ask for more money.

Any event organized now a days. Hell, even the cars and coffee meets at 8 am when you would THINK the millennials would be sleeping. Nope they are out in force with their vapes and DSLR's taking photos so they can become a famous Instagram photographer.

I personally wouldn't have a track bike worth enough money for me to want to insure it. No insurance on mine. Plus I'm not even sure some track bikes are even insurable because of lack of titles, previous damage, etc. Funny thing is, my track bike is worth more than double my street bike. But the street bike has insurance because of the law and all of that jazz.

I didnt see that option.
