It will if the tank cap gasket seal is dry or cracked and not working. Also if the overflow tube is clogged, the water won't drain away from where it could get past the tank cap. Yes, I had it happen once. Only once, that was a pain.

Oh, they can go fast. Just let a "foreign" bike scorch past that MIGHT be possible to catch, and by throwing caution to the ... well... Angels, and vibrating the engine so hard that parts fly off and crankcase oil squirts into the next county. Despite the fact that the riding posture of the arms had indicated "I surrender".
-
Actually, might help. Call Carl Zipf and ask who can do that near Canton.

for waze-newbies: to add group: turn gps on start waze app settings on the camera select My Waze button Select Groups index skip intro (hit back on mine) select tab: nearby, popular, mine or search enter text: ohio riders ohio riders will display with ben stillman creator tap to select it should say you've joined I still show as a newbie, the last update blew me off and I had to start over. Still let me use the same account, but the stats were gone. sux CRAP! Don't start Waze right after removing from a charger, before the SD card starts. It wiped my stats and I'm starting over again. double sux edit: ok, didn't wipe stats... but waze really really doesn't like you to do that.

I've made various mounts, and used tank bags also. But I'm too far sighted to even see the stupid screen, nor see it in bright sun light. So I pretty much just don't bother with it. I do occasionally set up the audio directions for the headphones. That works when needing navigation on the move.

I notice the orange color of the shackle and chain. Is that meant to mean it's not real, it's a toy? Seems to me most inmate roadcrews wear bright orange when out and about. Hell, my Dad got roughed up by OSHP for wearing an orange navy flight suit, driving home, geez. USN Lieutenant Commander and they didn't even apologize. You'all can keep the bright orange goodies, not me...

Chain suspenders are pretty hip fashionable... and kinky. Look better on female than male. Couldn't find a decent web pic.

yeah, right. Shoe is shackled, shoe comes off, shoe beats you black and blue and bleeding from the toes you have left. Good idea. I want to see this. Videos please... edit: I thought you meant jumping from Flight level 33 (33,000 ft) gosh... big brass ones...

ReconRat = ReconRat Added to group I doubt names display unless Waze is on. Have had Wase for a while. Used more in Jeep than bike. Normally have Waze off, and sometimes GPS off too. It will drain power and data faster. I use the auto power plug all the time. Now I suppose I have to find a bike mount for the droidx. The one in the Jeep is made from a binder clip, a wood pencil, and two rubber bands. Works great. Free. And noticed sometimes trouble capturing GPS on start of Waze, I toss it on the dash in the front windshield and it usually connects ok. Waze is way more fun than a TomTom or other gps, and works pretty much just as good.

Note that compression ratio mostly doesn't effect what happens with heat. It creates more heat, but if the engine is designed right, it gets rid of it, and it's all held to about the same conditions inside the engine. The obvious conditions where it doesn't, like an air cooled engine sitting still without a wind, will elevate the internal temperatures. Or putting high compression pistons in an air cooled bike that isn't designed for it. Yeah, that doesn't always work out too well.

So, your answer: Ambient temperature generally refers to indoor temperatures, not outdoor. But is maybe accepted to be an average 73 F. Obviously outdoor air temperatures will throw the ratio off. 495F/73F = 6.78 max temp ratio 266F/73F = 3.64 min temp ratio for fun @ 32 F outside, 495F/32F = 15.4 temp ratio @ 100 F outside, 266F/100F = 2.66 temp ratio I'd say for the most part, it's about 3.5 ratio at idle, climbing to 6.5 at WOT. But a lot of extra fuel is dumped in at WOT to keep the combustion chamber cooler, so it's hard to say.

http://papers.sae.org/930217/ Translation: 130 C to 248 C (266 F to 478 F), typically the high range of the value at WOT. Piston head can be as much as 25 C (77 f) higher. Temperatures vary in different areas of the combustion chamber, depending on flow of gases and typically cooler near metal surfaces which act as heat sinks. At no time would temperatures go over 275 C (495 F), at which point gasoline auto-detonates by itself. Carbon or other deposits can raise the temperatures.

Ryan and Colin Pyle have a new documentary for 2012. It's in post production and should be released this year. The Middle Kingdom Ride, an 18,651km ride around China. Work has already started on another ride around India. Middle Kingdom Ride on Vimeo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY2h_bG3DJg

Don't take it personal. It's a change in values of society in general. It's the population embracing the concepts of duty, honor, and citizenship. This is a good thing. On the other hand, if it comes from a military service member, it feels good. They know what they are talking about. It took 30 years after the Vietnam War, for a soldier in the Atlanta airport, to tell me "Thank You for your service". But honestly, anyone I knew in the military, didn't have to say anything at all. It's understood.
-
That would be me. I already knew the story line, I knew it wasn't over. Everyone leaving, and like... wut? wait...
-
Yeah, you'd think so, but it clearly wasn't an intermission. Didn't appear to be, anyway.
-
Not sure, but it used to be that non-citizens could serve in the US military if accepted, and gain citizenship for doing so. I've known a few people to do this. So that part is probably already in existence. The other part, a bulk carte blanc, probably not a good idea in general. Would you include a criminal? Some one convicted of a crime? Apparently so. The entire concept of "I'm going to the United States and once I'm there they can't kick me out" is a load of crap. Try that in any other country and see how long you get to stay. They will hunt you down and have no problem doing so.

Great movie. Watched it in theater. Oddest thing, half way through, the movie shut off, the curtains closed, and a bunch of people left and didn't come back. Then the movie started back up again. Never figured that one out.

I love those. But then again, I'm the dork that had 3 of them. I kept wearing them out.

I had no idea it was there. Their website lists quite a few notable aircraft are there. I would certainly go on the invite if I were you. I'll put a visit on my list of things to do.

Take the time to walk through a graveyard. Any graveyard. Look for the Veterans, there are a lot of them. Say your Thank Yous there. Don't forget them.

*reading endless comments of the linked post*... 75% of the population could make it through the US Marines? muhahahahaha.................. no Despite popular impressions, the US Marines wouldn't even consider more than half the population. Being undesirable/unfit/unqualified in one way or another. Same with all the other branches of military service as well.

Can be had in Kentucky. Currently brewed in Louisville. I used to pick it up in Florida when it was hard to find. I like the nose, the smooth taste, and the bite of the after taste. Standing joke is it makes you YIP! after drinking it straight.

Screw the honey... although I would like to find a good one and try it. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/32/Rebel_Yell.JPG Edit: for reality, a review likes the Evan Williams Honey Whiskey over both the Seagram's 7 Dark Honey and the Wild Turkey American Honey. Go crazy: Laced Straight 2 oz gin .5 oz Evan Williams Honey Reserve .5 oz dry vermouth Stir with ice, and strain. Garnish with lemon twist.
