I've been saying this for years. And I don't like those recurring military dreams. Argh.

so what's a good slingshot? I searched webz reviewz and figured on Daisy P51. .38 steel or .32 lead (0 buckshot). Or cheap marbles for fun.

Sounds like a nice ride. I should have gone. I need to rev the newer 919 up and see how it acts.

Don't start a lawnmower fire. I would know this... edit: Working on the lawn mower right next to the water hose is very handy.

well then, if no choke, then the choke doesn't work, heh? Pretty weird to not have some sort of choke for cold starting. Does it have a prime that adds fuel when pushed? It has to have something somewhere.

Check for spark first. Repair if none. Try start with air filter removed. Drain the tank. Fresh gas. Fresh plug. Starting fluid spray if necessary. If no start, remove and clean carb. Or fiddle with ignition timing. edit: don't forget the choke, and does it work...

I settle the "no wave back", by waving without looking to see what happens...

Ok, perhaps some of our LEOs or armchair traffic cops can make me smarter

I can't find it either, in state or city code. I wonder if bike passing in single lane is lane splitting, but I don't find any rules in state or city for that either. I do see some strange loop holes on bikes passing bikes... -

There's a place like this on my way home from work. Everyone goes off road to the right, in the gravel, and makes a right turn. I do this slow and easy, knowing I'm in the wrong if anything happens. I totally yield to everyone, especially when the left turn gets their turn arrow. This generally angers people behind me, but considering that those left turners turn into any lane they want, I'm not getting out there in their way. there is a seldom heard of law that says people must turn into the lane nearest them when there is more than one lane to turn into. Not likely... edit: 4511.36 Rules for turns at intersections. -
Neat. I'll get one on sale. Thanks. compatible plastic bolts for it. 10 cents for 12 plus 4.99 shipping at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Crossbow-Replacement-12-Pack-Arrows/dp/B000AP52KI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1302448730&sr=8-1 Haven't found a deal on the aluminum bolts yet... edit: no part number match, but these look like the aluminum bolts. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AM19M6/ref=s9_simh_se_p200_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=auto-no-results-center-1&pf_rd_r=0KFDF46NS5JZYB73PQ4B&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=1263465782&pf_rd_i=MCCB1MD edit: get some good glue, the plastic parts of the bolts break easy. re-edit: errr... changed my mind, I'd rather have a good hunting slingshot

I need a PC on the 1st 919 to stay above 100hp. And the 2nd 919 doesn't feel like it's got that. 17T front. Dunno...

I didn't even see anyone taking a pic. Argh.

I haven't bothered with rooting. I don't see a need yet. I haven't even played to see if I can tether. It already has the hot spot wireless. edit: I think my hot spot wireless is available, I haven't tried that yet either. And when I said application security, I probably should have said unknown application permissions turned back off. Oops. I leave mine off unless needed on a case by case basis.

Use a light oil with the 0000 steel wool and rub gently forever. The rust will come off, even if it's a blued finish. Without harming the bluing except for right in the area where the rust was. Dunno about steel wool getting inside.

Most of the flat head screws on firearms require hollow ground screwdrivers. Which means regular screwdrivers tend to tear them up. Get a nice gunsmith tool kit in a box to do this stuff with. Side plate doesn't have to come off unless something has broken, or somehow dirt or grit or water got in there. Sometimes it's packed with heavy grease. I've only had to open one or two for cause. (Cause it was old and broken and/or messed up.) The side plate is one area where "if it ain't broke don't fix it". If the action is still smooth and the trigger pull is in the correct range, don't bother opening it up. Yes, sometimes hard to reassemble. The 0000 steel wool is what is used on firearms. Don't ever use steel wool on aluminum.

Several of us just left, when it started raining harder. But radar show the rain moving South and away. But still lots of rain South of I-70, and storm is rotating, which may bring rain to the NE of Columbus. edit: storm is headed SE toward WV. NE should be ok. Columbus only caught a little edge of it. Which isn't the impression I had riding home on the freeway in the rain.

What fazer said is true. The standard rule is that the vehicle in the intersection typically has the right of way unless required to yield. Less collisions will occur if people aren't allowed to collide. Whodathunk. -

I don't know either, but in areas I don't know, I drop 10mph below the normal posted road speed in school zones. Quickly. Just a habit of mine. I do the same for anything and everything that looks weird and out of place. Motorcycles don't need surprises at full speed. The school lights are goofy until daylight savings time is back. There's the old date to switch and the new date. Some are correct, and the others are an hour early. It will fix itself in a couple of weeks. -

Passing off the roadway, definitely not legal. Yelling at you is even worse, if considered road rage. Third, changing lanes that close to an intersection or crosswalk is not legal either. One of the worse things in a pedestrian crosswalk (or any intersection), is to have a car suddenly switch lanes when approaching. edit: go ahead and get plate number and call those in. For the record. -
Yes, I've been there. Frustrating road. A1 and A1A on the East coast aren't much fun either.

Pinellas Park near Tampa Florida. Everyone survived, but it wasn't a fun night for some. Totals: 8 bikes down 3 cars damaged 6 riders injured one car driver injured Causes: one U-turn by 17yo in a Lincoln metal debris on the roadway three rear end collisions at prior scene of accident one rider run over on the road by a bike What happened: About a 1000 bikes at the Tampa Quaker State bike night. Accidents happened when people left. The u-turn took out 3 bikes approaching at speed. The youngest rider crushes in the rear of the Lincoln and is thrown 250 feet. The middle age rider slides 200 feet for road rash. The oldest one rides the bike down for 200 feet. All three treated, one serious. Alcohol factors suspected. About 40 minutes later, nearby, a car runs over a piece of metal in the roadway. It disables the car, and tosses the metal debris into a bike behind it, disabling the bike. Another motorcycle hits a car that slows down for the accident. No injuries. Two of three more older riders on cruiser motorcycles passing the accident collide. The one had gunned his engine without looking. They both go down. The third runs him over. Life flight sent. That was the most serious critical injury. Lessons: It is hard to avoid a car making a U-turn. Accidents happen at the scene of an accident. Don't gun your engine without looking. Don't run a rider over if they come off their bike. We're not done yet... An hour later, a teenager in the median of the road with friends, runs in front of a car and bounces off. While a patrolman is watching. Not hurt too bad. Later at 7am, a pickup truck pulls out in front of a police car which can't stop and they collide. Both go spinning down the road. Pickup driver ejected, and gets life flight. Both hospitalized. Cruiser totaled. A bad night... Seven people injured in night of motorcycle crashes in Pinellas Park Five vehicle crashes reported in 12 hours in Pinellas Park http://www.tbnweekly.com/content_images/040711_par-01.jpg

Ammo cans 1. It's sealed and keeps air out. Lasts longer. 2. It's sealed and keeps water/humidity out. Lasts longer. 3. It's sealed and is safe in a fire. In a fire the springy top will let gas out without the trauma of pieces of metal flying all around.

Yup. NRA juvi classes at some local chapter. Probably have to join and pay dues, but then the range is available.
