They won't mess with phones too much, it's actual texting or reading they are after. It says 6 to 23 times more likely to wreck/crash when doing that. now I want to look up to see if one hand minimum on wheel is required...

Text while driving? Better not in Bexley soooo, is pushing the buttons on a phone for a phone call considered typing? I don't see any exceptions. Need to read the law itself to see how badly it was written.

Please be aware, that in Real Life, you will not spawn... No matter how hard you try...

One of the best places to live in the Columbus area. Expensive.

Early morning traffic, like 6am. Co-worker just called in a motorcycle collision on I-670 East bound near Neil Ave. sounds like rider ok, but tangled with a vehicle. Parts and pieces on the roadway. It wasn't me. Although I am a bit damp from riding this morning. Lots of fun spinning rear wheel and sliding around (with both wheels). Greasy roads. edit: quick pic of traffic backed up behind accident: Ok, now this is funny. No riders, it was a truck hauling motorcycles. That would be why there are pieces and parts all over the roadway. Maybe 6 motorcycles? Don't know for sure. Another pic, looks like truck on it's side: And it now appears like there are more accidents in the traffic backed up. And the East bound I-670 freeway is now shut down. Everyone is being forced off the freeway on one of the downtown exit ramps. If you don't know where the Ohio ODOT webcams are, they are here: Buckeye Traffic More edit: sorry about your luck if you are coming into Columbus from the West on I-70 this morning. Current rumor is that the city plans on shutting down I-670 at the I-70 East split, and forcing all traffic over onto I-70 East bound. That's crowded in the first place, it will be impossible this morning. East bound I-70 will be backed up past the outerbelt.

You might have missed it, but oddly enough, the first and biggest Iraq oil field contract went to a combination of Chinese and American development (American help), with the oil going to China. And the contract went cheap. Go figure that...

Going home from work on the freeway, a favorite pastime is to tag any riders I see ahead of me, and ride with them. The deal is, to see how long it takes for them to see me in their mirrors. Errrr.... almost all of them don't. They never look in their mirrors. I ride like flying a fighter aircraft, at least in traffic anyway. look forward - left mirror - look forward - right mirror - look forward - gauges & lights - repeat... I absolutely hate having any vehicle over-take me from behind without me knowing it.

I can't find a worthy review yet. Not even specs on the Pirelli website. I guess it's replacing the Strada, it's a single compound design, and it has a morphing icon built into the tread design? One of the Pirelli graphics makes it look like it's 120% better than normal in "wet". Not sure what they mean, but that is probably pushing reality a bit far.edit: they mean 20%? still not sure...

I'm sure you know what it's like to be riding into the setting sun. Have you ever thought about traffic behind you being not able to see you? Last Friday, hitting up I-70 from MooseTown steak-o-rama out East to the Hillard Hooters bike night out West... Traffic slowed where it passes I-71 downtown. Seems a police car was trying to get from right to left for two cars on the left berm. We're all going slow, but I watch behind me for trouble, and here it comes. Looks like a red Firebird, and it's not slowing down. The driver isn't seeing any of our brake lights, with the sun in his eyes. I look forward again for escapes, and check behind again to see that Firebird sliding already, trying to maneuver around me to the right, and appears to be only a few feet behind me. I'm in the left lane. (caution: objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear) I quick flick left just enough to let him past... He stopped very well, he didn't hit the car in front of me, which is what I expected, sort of stopped behind or beside me. I didn't even look. Guess I was more interested in what was in front of me, like he should have been. But my reaction bothered me. I didn't scoot away, I just moved over and slowed. But when thinking about it, if he had hit the car in front of me, he would have spun it, with me trying to pass on the left berm, between the spinning car and the guard rail, with three vehicles parked ahead on that berm. I tried to trade places, and let him go ahead and hit the car. So I guess it was the right move anyway, considering the choices. I did notice he stayed way back away from me and all cars for a while. Probably scared himself/herself pretty bad. Maybe even stalled the engine back there. It also bothers me that this type stuff doesn't bother me...

ehhh, depends on personal definitions of attractiveness. Most of us would probably say HardCore anything is attractive in a woman. Strength, skill, intelligence, bravery, etc... Riding a motorcycle... Not just being feminine. The other stuff is equal or plus. What your gal friends are saying is THEY don't think it's attractive. Wut de heck do they know...

Ostrander to Delaware = 2 minutes @ 150mph just sayin'

I'm pretty sure that the only thing a backseater looks at is whether the back seat looks comfortable...

Welcome! I lived briefly in Torrance...

Ammunition manufacturers have been cranked up to replace military stock. Also cranked up for sales to foreign military. That puts domestic production and sales on hold. Together with a sudden increase in firearms and ammo purchases after any presidential election. The overall effect is some ammo and firearms are hard to find. Although I'm beginning to wonder about .380cal, what the heck is up with that.

Salary isn't all of it. Don't forget asking for a 6 month review and one-time increase in salary. Also, negotiate an increase in vacation time, if it looks like you are going to loose what you had before. Or what you should have for your experience/age. Car if they provide them for management, etc. Perks... edit: stock options!

Good choice. That's pretty much the one that started the entire lady's weapons back in the 1980s. Although other firearms in the past attracted interest, the LadySmith (model 36 for ladies) sold in HUGE numbers. So many were sold to women in Texas, that most of the rest of the country had to wait or do without. Including waiting for the pink accessory hand grips. I would say all of the manufacturers took note of that, and here we are now. Lots of pink firearms for the ladies. The real Ladysmith will say "Ladysmith" on the side, instead of the "Airweight". Although there is no real big difference, and a there are a lot of variations from the factory. The ones that actually say "Ladysmith" will command a higher collectible value.

Oil, gasoline, and all other volatiles have a shelf life. And that is sealed in the bottle or can. Plastics and rubber have shelf life also. They all go bad soon enough. Heck even a rock has a shelf life, not that we care.

Same here, except I started using the Stabil. And mine is outside for the Winter. Roughly Dec 1st to March 1st. No problems, other than steel parts rust faster.

bumpity me and couple of guys from work want to be there. They are fair weather, I'm all-weather recon interceptor... Maybe I print some of the fliers and stick them on bikes on campus. There's a campus/Ohio law against that, but I can probably get away with it, ya think? -
okeydokey, it's one of those strike six and you're out...

I don't think I've ever owned a motorcycle that I didn't drift either on purpose or by accident. Not sure which is more fun...

Not good. That's what they do for fatalities or potential fatalities.

Now that's funny...

Some roads were hazardous today, from the lack of rain over the last few weeks. The build up of oil and vehicle liquids on the roadways got slippery when wet. Link to thread and article in Columbus today. Sometimes Slippery When Wet
