back from Gander in Reynoldsburg. Zero 22LR. Nadda. Zip. No reloading powders. But they did have Remington #10 percussion caps for black powder pistols. I haven't seen those in quite a while. Good selection of rifle and pistol black powder.

Yup, and it drove up the price of 22LR. But Federal and American Eagle (made by Federal) sent out shipments last week. 4, 5, 6 cents a round. It sold out immediately everywhere. Just have to be both patient and quick. edit: and Remington shipped some too, also all sold out everywhere.

Original purpose for the design was detection of hyper velocity cruise missiles booking at low altitude and high speed. That's ok up to mach 2, which is the current inventories, but research is working on near mach 6 and thinking about mach 9. Those cannot be touched yet, even if seen in time. (Think lasers.) Basic worry is that some other country would be willing to sell them... So far it's USA, Russia, China, and India that are working on them. -

It's almost like it's a nostalgic thing, since HD 750 flat trackers were the original. After board racing home builts, or course. What we need is a vertical twin class out there to wrangle with them. But don't hold your breath on that.

Don't underestimate the fatigue induced from low frequency noise. It's a huge factor on the road for motorcycles and trucks. Not so much for a luxury car. So if driving long distances, wear earbuds or plugs. Sometimes I think too much music is fatiguing as well, but that part isn't bad. Sometimes just alternating lessens fatigue, with and without. Sunglasses on and off, yellow shades at night for a while. Drink a bunch of water, and have something to munch on too. Just eating a little bit will knock out fatigue. Yes, my ears ring all the time. I don't want it getting any worse than it is. -
Everyone should know how to throw it sideways and enjoy it. Makes it so much easier to survive when it happens without warning. Yeah, that means get a dirt bike... I power slid sideways pulling into morning traffic on a cold road. Quick juggle the power and balance. Yeah, as usual, scared the crap out of the cars around me. I rather enjoyed it. Couldn't back off, there were cars coming at me. Well, ok, I could have aborted up the middle turn lane... edit: Yes, I'm too old for that crap.

Just use a sharpie to check off the ones you haven't crash on: Coshocton Hocking Hills Mohican 555 Little Dragon Dragon's Tail etc Required to cross out any you later dump it on... edit: umm, just a thought, some need a tee shirt that says "I didn't survive" and check boxes....

Seems ok if you already have the battery tender connection installed. I use an all weather cigarette plug on the handlebars. That puts it right beside a tank bag where I can split to charge a couple of devices. I figure that's enough. With a handful of USB cable types and splitters. If you're running your connection from under the seat up to a tankbag, that would make sense. A decent bike type all weather cigarette lighter power source setup can be a bit expensive. note: Sometimes a cheaper source of all weather electronics is discount marine (boat) supplies on-line. Sometimes it's the exact same stuff as more expensive motorcycle gear.

no joke, if you look at the hidden war history of Britain in Indonesia and Malaysia during or before the Vietnam era, I would say the local police forces picked up a lot of experience dealing with insurgents and such.

One thing often forgotten and easy to achieve, is keep your current accrued vacation or time-in-grade for vacation when moving over. Most companies will give that without a problem. Moving expenses if you're going to move, or some sort of fuel/vehicle compensation if it's farther to drive. Actual mileage compensation is something that is harder to get. If it's a job that has state or federal contracts, go as high as a 40% increase in wages. Especially if military contracts. If it's a red hot job, ask for a company car. Asking a potential employee what wages is out right rude. I've had it happen and I didn't like it. Based on what? To do exactly what? What's the job description and working conditions? Wasn't enough details given yet, for me to pin a wage down. To try to negotiate without something offered in writing first to base it on, is a shoddy personnel/human resources department. And I've not experienced negotiations with any one other than a personnel or human resources. That's their job. I've gone as high as a 40% increase, and a 20% cut when changing jobs. Sometimes available overtime will give it back.

State vs Federal is a matter of Sovereign. The State has all the rights of State, and the Federal has all the rights of Inter-State (between states). BUT... most federal laws have been changed without state consent to move more responsibility to the federal government. As well as some attempts to have the federal government start taking intra-state responsibilities (Inside a given state). That's not the way it started out, but it's the way it is now. Means nothing, if no state or group of states, is willing to do anything about it. There is a federal procedure to do so, and it involves a consensus of a majority of states. Delivered from the legislative of the state capitols, and not the federal representation of state.

I'm not big on additives, unless it's near time to tear an engine down. Then I don't care. If chosen carefully, I don't think most quality additives hurt anything. You'll have to judge the quality and justify the cost. I run no additives in any engine. But someday I might. Getting a sticky lifter to free up or get quiet is a pretty common thing to try and do. Perhaps memories of scrapping STP off of wet drive clutch plates has made me cautious... oops

Heavy oil additives tend to flow back to the sump slower. They stick around the valve train longer. Conversely, light oils will flow back quickly, starving the valve train a bit. They all arrive at the valve train close to the same rate and flow under pressure from the pump. Just about opposite of what would be expected. GMC made a oil additive like that, it worked pretty good. Probably the best of the bunch. Ford has one also, I think. Note: Heavy long chain oil molecules tend to break down quickly. i.e. STP type stuff. So if it's just oil without crazy super slip stuff (like Teflon) it's... oil. Problem is, most manufacturers no longer have to list ingredients. The MSDS sheet says Lubricating oils, petroleum, c>25, hydrotreated bright stock-based 60-100% I would guess it's basically a heavy weight oil. Can't tell without an oil analysis run.
