You stay. I'll go. What was I thinking. I have 8 weeks vacation time backed up. And believe it or not, 36 weeks of sick time to burn off.

Fly down to my parent's place in Florida. Nice and quiet, poolside lanai, mid 70s to 80s right now. Bring your laptop. Heck, they'd probably even feed you.

GSXRs are higher on the theft list. You asked for collision. Which I assume is comprehensive with theft coverage. edit: If you want to hear a cheap insurance quote, ask about a Triumph Bonneville.

Zombie Statistics: Great graphics show number, type, who, weapon, etc... I wanted to know how many zombies killed so far. Episode 27 = 349 zombies dispatched

you made me laugh. They are indeed expensive. I wish I had bought one of those cheap Chinese knockoffs of the M1A1. Better than nothing... edit: actually, a brand new Springfield doesn't look all that bad price wise anymore.

M1 Abrams? edit: m1a1 springfield .308 is a very nice rifle

I've also noticed that this type gear is very stylish with bicycling and goes out of style and on sale this time of year. I picked up mine from a big West Coast mail order outfit for half price or better with free shipping. Very low prices.

I'm guessing it's the typical 3 liter. I've got two. One is with a backpack, and the other without. Without is just a camelbak. One of the two hydro bags is going to do double duty in my ILBE bag, it has a pocket also. I don't use them often, but it's great when I'm not wanting to stop for much. And you will lose a lot of water just from the airstream you are riding though. edit: That's a lovely shade of pink on your bag... Mine are all black or green or grey or coyote, in case I run into a thirsty coyote...

We're going to cross a couple thresholds this year...

Indeed... And for the record, a fresh charged good battery will show ~14.5 After about an hour it will show ~13.5 Anything above ~12.5 is good. Charging circuits generally put out ~14.5 Gauges showing between ~12.5 and ~14.5 while riding is good

it's on my list. Two types of individual instant coffee/bags and tea bags. and plenty of... aspirin acetaminophen ibuprofen midol and a lot of stuff for feet/blisters I like Converse tactical/duty boots. I wear them out in a year or two. I'm getting two new pairs of them. And still have warm heavy duty Wolverine mountain style hiking boots. Just picked up a sustainment pouch and two smaller side pouches that attach to the back pack. Almost doubles the pack space. Stuffed them all with clothes to try it out, and the pack rides well. I can jump up and down without rattling or shifting weight. Added used mil spec compass. Found OD compression bags on line. Still not done. More stuff. The side pouches were cheap ugly ACU digital camo, but I already figured out how to dye them some sort of green. Found a website that sells individual packets of everything. Cheap. Meds, foods, whatever. They have kits for hikers/etc. Here's the website link so I can find it again, ha. http://www.minimus.biz/default.aspx?Affiliate=579 How many people are remembering to add bug repellent to the list?

Not sure. Mongoose work well, but won't get all the snakes. A balance sort of results. Okinawa had mongoose, and didn't lack for local pit vipers. This Guam snake is a tree snake, which I bet would make it a lot harder for the mongoose. Mongoose don't hunt and fight in trees, that I know of. edit: found this on the Guam USGS Q&A: edit: lol... "13,000 brown tree snakes per square mile"

It is dumb. And desperate. They already tried this before. It didn't work the way they expected. They are trying again. It really is bad when snakes kill off all the other animals on an island.

Last I heard, the state recommendation for beer, liquor and cigarette sales was ID required to be seen unless customer visibly appears to be over 50. You will get ID'd if a state agent or snitch is suspected to be anywhere in a neighborhood.

Ok ok, shirts not working well with pedaling bicycle. But able to function on motorcycle moving 2 or 3 times as fast as bicycle. Must have air flow. Must have skin contact for efficiency of cooling.
-
hrmm, I was afraid of that. That means none of these shirts will do anything.

I would think reasonably effective when moving with an airflow. Not so much when standing still with no breeze. Ohio isn't the high humidity we think. Lots of places are much higher. Average Ohio Summer humidity is 80% in the morning and 60% in the afternoon. I've been in tropical environments where you had to swim to get out of a building...

It was more or less the renewal and update of an older Secret Service set of laws. The interpretation was a grey area, and now is a new grey area.

WebBikeWorld Motorcycle Horn Comparison Review Somewhat surprising results in the review. Notably the "Bad Boy" horns tend to fail when they get wet. And not all horns are as loud as we think. I'd go for the AutoZone horn, simply for it's small size. Sometimes those can be tuned for a high or low tone. Sometimes sets of two horns can be found for the dual high and low tone. edit: I see the AutoZone universal horn is available in both a 112db high and a 132db low. Back in the day we used to hit the junkyard for "town n country" horn setups. And yes, I need to dump my anemic Honda factory horn... edit: And note that the best mounting position is under the headlight with horn pointed forward. But that most horns should be with horn down to drain water out.

psych... It's not what you think. Too many Brown Tree Snakes? Drop dead mice on them laced with toxic acetaminophen. US gov't to air-drop toxic mice on Guam snakes http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/22/17053971-toxic-mice-airdrop-aims-to-wipe-out-guams-venomous-snakes?lite Hawaii has a serious worry that somehow they will get from Guam to Hawaii. Hawaii wildlife has no defense and no predators against them. They would over run the islands. Even the US West coast is worried...

Forget high tech, this Alpinestars price is hard to beat.
