Adding as an amendment works when it's added to a bill supported by the opposition. In this case it lacks enough vote support for even that. It's dead for now. edit: Despite the failure, that assault weapon ban zoomed up to a 19% chance of being enacted. Before it was dropped for lack of support. That means a lot of effort was made convincing votes in favor, but it wasn't enough. The matching McCarthy bill in the House is stuck at a 2% chance of getting out of committee and hasn't changed.

Screwing with people (or cops) is a good way to get your ass kicked (or arrested). I see they were ok with it till they saw the camera. I believe they intended to find out intent and purpose of filming. If he had just wiped it and gone away, but no, he tried to run. We can film people in the USA for fun, but don't try it in Europe. It's invasion of privacy in Germany and some other places.

Whether you do or don't ride in rain, the one thing you will regret is not having rain gloves. Or something to put over your good gloves so they won't get wet. Once your regular riding gloves get wet, they are never the same. Once soft and comfortable, they become harsh and stiff, and you wish you had new ones. I suppose there is a way to recondition them, I'll have to think about that. I've got some volunteers... edit: regular Frogg Toggs aren't made for riding. They make Road Toads for that...

Chain good, tool good. Grind the rivet heads off the old master link before trying to push the pins out. Otherwise possible to break or bend the tool. I wouldn't use grinder to cut chain. Although it sounds about the same amount of work either way. I don't like aftermarket front sprockets. The stock sprocket has rubber dampeners, that kill a LOT of vibration. I'm putting a stock back on. Gearing changes should be done with rear sprockets, not front. Not that I haven't re-geared a bunch of front sprockets, I'm just not going to do that much anymore. That alternative master link is interesting. It looks like a good carry spare for on the road. Rather than a clip link. It's not hard to squish the new link rivet on the regular master link. Just make sure it's the right master link for the chain/tool. Both in hardness and design. Some chains use special master links. And one even says use a special matching tool. edit: not all master links are the same. I wish there was an exact specification, but the pin and fit is slightly different on some of them. If it's too tight or too loose, it won't work worth a darn.

1. Water in fuel can be found by shaking the tank, and taking a small sample of fuel from the bottom of the tank, into a glass jar. Let it settle and the water will separate to the bottom where you can see it. Some bikes outside won't drain water correctly from around the fuel filler cap. Combined with a cap gasket that leaks water into the tank. It happens. Check the fuel cap gasket and the filler drain if that happened. edit: draining fuel for sample directly from the fuel line is better, since that is really what we want to check. The fuel that's going to the carburetor. 2. That stock "filter in a fuel line" looks like a joke. Filters work by total surface area. That looks too small for much. The smallest/cheapest gravity inline filters you can find are each good for about the flow of 125cc. You would need two, one on each carburetor. And that's only when they are new and clean. Try to find a place to hide a bigger/better filter than the cheap ones. On the other hand, just replace the stock filter in the fuel line. It worked before. edit: The last time it happened to me, I cleaned out both carburetors. That was one of my old CB350s. Let's appreciate the old vertical twins. You could reach down and rev each cylinder individually, at the carburetor linkage. To check it's function. You could also loosen the carburetor clamps, and rotate them for disassembly without removing them from the bike. And yes, I've cracked lots of carburetor diaphragms (hate that). You will have to check that when working on the carburetors. edit again: In the service manual, is a method of checking rate of fuel flow from tank to each carb. It's a measured quantity should drain in a given amount of time. But really, checking the fuel lines for obstructions is usually good enough.

Membership slightly understated. We currently have "Members: 8,327". I forget what percentage are cruisers. We did a poll once to get an estimate. I've ridden just about everything, but I stick with standards. Neither a cruiser or a sport. Just fast. It's what I like. Reasonably comfortable for long distances. And I bought both soft bags and hard bags for mine.

People strip them off of 1 to 4 machine gun linked ammo. Do not make a habit of firing tracer continuously. Bad for barrel. In combat tracers are used to mark a target for group fire. A leader will mark the target by firing a couple of tracer rounds or even a full magazine. Everyone else quickly fires at the same target area. Expect return fire at the source of the tracers... edit: I think Vance's briefly had cans of 820 .223 tracer, when ammo was hard to find.
