  1. Thanks man, the biggest thing is I can't find a true channel listing of free channels. All the wife cares about is the local channel OTA via antenna, and then Lifetime and TLC, not that I give 2 shits if either of those are on it, since we're dropping cable regardless, but want to at least have something to watch. Thanks!!
  2. Ah, interesting, thanks. As you can tell, I am clueless.
  3. What did it not do? I dont play video games and have no idea what a smart tv etc is. I wouldn't be upgrading any TVs or buying gaming devices for a long, long time, if ever, if that helps?
  4. Good info, like I said, all I watch if I do is racing and/or sports, so that's the downfall, but anymore, I rarely watch that anyways. Basically I am looking for a reason for the wife to watch less TV, and save some coin. although I heard Roku has some channels the wife will be watching more than Lifetime anyways so that doesn't help.
  5. Sports are the 1 thing I actually do watch when I have time. But usually local tv stations, Browns, and stuff like that. Plus I think Roku has CBS sports meaning AMA races I believe.
  6. Ok I know it's been talked about but I don't care, I want my own topic. Who dropped cable for Roku or Apple TV. Regrets? Did you have to upgrade your internet connection to run 2-3 boxes? Do you need an antenna and HD box thing to get local channels now? Basically how the F does it work besides streaming over the internet? I just found out I don't qualify for any more discounts and I never watch TV and we have the lowest/slowest internet package out there, so I plan to drop cable/DVR and get 2 or 3 times faster internet for 5-10 bux more, then add 2-3 Rokus, and Netflix or Hulu to 1 of them, or does it carry to all the ones in the house? Dude I am so retarded about this stuff, if someone has experience and is local to Cbus I would buy you beer and pizza to come hook them up and make them work when this happens. Not kidding, that's how much I hate dealing with all of this.
  7. Thats one of my big ones, a fat whole life policy. Never paid a premium in my life(parents did way back when), cash value now is enough to basically pay off the house, and the policy coverage is 3 times what my total "debts" equal, house and car. I was told I should start putting in about 100 a year just to help the cash value grow, but haven't even done that yet. Policy premium keeps renewing off cash value rollover or some shiat. Yeah I need to look at my 401k here at work and do some changing with it, but I just don't get into it that much as they only match 2%, and then get a small bonus for the holidays in it. In the end, I know I will make more with my guy so I just give him cash when he asks for it, and then make $$. Honestly, I don't ask questions, I do what I'm told. Figure if it's good enough for me to retire by the age I want to, which he said won't be an issue, then it's all good.
  8. Yeah I mean if you can max it and still have plenty for everything else sure, but in the end, my 401K isn't earning nearly what my other investments are, so no point in putting extra in there vs. other investments that earn 2-3X as much. I.E. someone I know is putting 25% in their 401K, however employer only matches 3%, has never matched more. They have no other investments anywhere and essentially are missing out on making a ton more cash elsewhere. Their choice, but to me that doesn't make sense. I do not make enough anymore after our comms were removed to straight salary to max out 401K and still invest in my kids college, Roth, and everything else I have, I guess that's my point. Make sure the funds are placed accordingly to maximize return.
  9. It's close to winter on OR, threads like this are basically our live's now until Spring.
  10. I almost wish this thread would just die a fast death because it is beyond stupid. Scruit you're still riding aren't you? It's not totally winter yet right? These threads can't be starting already, like Bowdog said.
  11. What Zorro said, be careful not to over-invest in 401K, over what company will match/vest you in, doing that takes away from capital you can invest other places and easily out earn whatever the nominal earnings are on 401K. Same idea as Zorro with Roth IRA, max it out, same with 529 for kiddo's. All tax deductions so makes sense. As for what I actually am into, I do whatever my guy tells me to.
  12. Thing I would let her do to me, other than just sit there like a beetch and take her punches that is. granted she would destroy me in .1 seconds, but she might also do things to me in the same amount of time that I would be 100% fine with. I can think of plenty.
  13. Yes, I thought you knew that? I like it, makes mine even smaller though.
  14. I love them, had a fling with a chick once that had a great pair and was a Cougar, so that was a win win. Wife said when shes done with kids she wants to get some work done if the natural ones aren't good enough for her. I said sure whatever you want to that one.
  15. Yes all above comments are true. I am not in charge, that is for sure.
  16. I asked my wife about all of this last night, confirmed everything I posted. But she also stated that if she was the instigator in a fight, she would expect to be hit back, and would not plan on any man holding back as she would be in it to do as much damage as humanly possible. Parks, you'd like my wife, she likes guns, has her CHL, likes Karate and knife fighting/hand to hand training more than guns, and is pretty ripped up. Well she did just have a baby, but she could probably do some competitions if she trained for them. Carries lean mass like no female I've ever met before, and she doesn't eat meat, which is weird. Anyways, at least Magz is a Browns fan, can't argue with that. Oh and Jbot, I don't think I want that testicle taco thing, that sounds awful. Thanks though, did you see my offer of trades for your HK?
  17. I will trade you a guitar, boat, and non-functional bike, does that work out well for you? When can we meet up, I will just bring like $300 and jew you down a bit, ya know that's how it goes these days. Oh and no ID or anything like that, they took it with me when I got caught in the park that one time around all those kids. JK, good looking gun, Craig shoots 40(f*g). Sell it to him for $650 just because.
  18. It's cool, not trying to prove anything, but there's pressure points that when hit right can put you out with a thumb press. Either way, looks like Scruit proved the point. Enjoy
  19. No, trust me I am not. Placement is everything with facial structure, it's all about training. She can knock you out with her finger, placed correctly, trust me on this. Granted this is an isolated case, which I get, just saying it is possible. If you want to talk physics, anatomy, all that jazz, I can get her to discuss it, actually she won't because she hates people, but I can assure you she knows what she is talking about. Craig, you know I can't watch movies at work A hole. And as Scruit said, training is what it's all about. Or the fact she has a PHD and studied anatomy, biology, physics, for 8 years to get it and works with it daily in her profession, paired with her extensive training. Either way, I wouldn't want her to punch me
  20. Going to have to disagree on the first part of this. I can tell you with certantity my wife would break your entire face with her first punch, not just your nose, but structural bones, and most likely you would need surgery to save your life before your lungs filled with blood from everything that was smashed up. She trains for it, and has been for several years. I do not agree with hitting a woman unless you are truly in fear for your life, and that would take a lot, but I can assure you there are women out there, not just in the UFC etc. that would destroy any male on here, even with if the male has some training background. As Scruit said, there's a BB that is younger, quicker, more agile, and they are able to beat up on people who have been training longer, and more expierence. There's a lot of variables, but when the female(my wifes case) is a 2nd degree BB, trained exclusively by a BB that is some degree they don't even have a name for, along with a 10th degree BB, who was/is also the training manager for several SWAT teams locally, they don't train to hurt. They train to completly wreck the agressor. There is no contest training they only train full contact sparring with full pads and are not allowed to back off punches, kicks, anything because that can breeed bad habbits. No one is allowed to compete in anything except a full contact contest, and he also makes them train for self defense along side the karate. If I wasn't with my wife and she decided to hit me, I would hit her back, if I wasn't dead and she was the aggressor, however, if that wasn't the case, yeah, don't hit womenz. Blue0636, Cox, and Murse have seen the wife, they know she'd destroy about anyone she ever encountered. Then again, if that didn't work she'd just have to shoot them. Hehe
  21. Fuck you're smart IP. Good looking out.
  22. No, I don't think I took it that far, I had friends living on campus for the past 12 years, since I was in HS and all through college. I've stayed everyone from Iuka, to 17th, to the south end of campus by some church on High St. Just saying that east of 4th/Summit is not a friendly place. Surrounding the fairgrounds, Crew stadium, all of that is very high crime areas, just stating facts, nothing else. Granted its not like it is around Childrens but probably close. Definitely been in some hairy situations walking back from parties, or to/from games and parking etc. Not saying I need an armored car to get there and back, but having the option, sure would be nice. Like I said, better to have and not need then to need and not have. Of course that's all based on them not dropping tons of cash in upkeep, etc.
  23. One thing I will say is OSU is definitely NOT close to the best area's in Columbus. Actually some of the worst are just east of campus and can easily be walked to. I believe North has some pretty awesome area's too so in my opinion, it's like Redkow said; better to have and not need(especially when it was free), than need and not have. Plus everyone knows that OSU is in the top 10 or less of suspected terrorist targets, so better to be prepared in the end.
  24. Dang, I keep agreeing with you on things. I am wondering what's wrong with me lately.
  25. Trust me, you want to get some of these, I had the 1/2 ton x2, gave one to dad and had one for long time, but had to toss it at a concert to go in Nationwide. Just bought 2 of these to pick up hopefully today when I go get a bulldog safe for wifes car. They are also on sale in store for 19.99 http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/104500/cabelas---kershaw-34-ton-folding-knife
