  1. Interesting info, I really have always wondered the differences, watched a lot of vids on them, but wanted to like hear it for myself lol./
  2. Don't own any SOG's but now Im interested to try something from them. Thing is for this price and a little elbow grease to get it equally sharp, do the savings outweigh the cost? That's a serious question because I'm not real up on knives. I mainly carry mine just in case, not using it that frequently except during race season, and even then, not daily. I do know my Kershaw's I've bought from Woot, like the 1 ton, 3/4 ton, come razor sharp, except they aren't 1/2 serrated which I really like for EDC and they are much heavier and bulkier. Is it maybe because it's 1/2 serrated they don't sharpen the first part as much due to taking more percision? Again, serious questions just looking for some info. Like I see these Spyderco's and Benchmades for like $180.00, but don't get why? I mean if I was like going Operator style maybe I could see it for military/police/EMS use, but as for EDC normal people why not get 10 Kershaw's, SOGs, and CRKT's for same price? Again, serious question, since I'm not using my knife every hour, not that they are either.
  3. This, friend has been going through the process himself, except the other 3 current owners(1 selling out his ownership totally), apparently can't decide on how things should be split in the new division. I think in the end my friend will lose 2 good friends and most likely have to fine a new career because of it. It already is getting messy and it just started. Sorry but business with friends IMHO is almost never a good idea unless it's started 100% together and run 100% together with 50/50 interest split up front.
  4. Wait, I forgot that, there was NO Barq's Red Cream Soda at this WC in that Coke machine thing. Like no option. I was irate, like not kidding. I always have Red Cream Soda with it, then get a shake to go, as I agree, the shake is legit there. The 2 day flight back from China, I made dad stop as soon as we left Cbus and hit the Delaware exit WC, I made them make a vanilla shake in the X Large soda cup, had uber amounts of white castles, fries, clams, I bet the bill was $20+ that trip just for me. I ate it all before making Mansfield. I hadn't planned on leaving my bedroom level in my parents house for a few days anyways, and that made it happen. Slept for 27 straight hours something insane, and didn't leave the basement for anything. Full bath, fridge, TV and wifi, so I was in heaven. Man that was an awful flight back.
  5. Fried clams bro, like you know the bagged crap you can get at kroger and bake or fry. Love it.
  6. Their clams are my fav too. I could do terrible things with those and a crave case, but I always have to get clams AND fries because I love crinkle cut fries.
  7. After all the ones they closed north of Cbus in OH and MI, good news for sure. Love this place about 4 times a year, the one on Hilliard Rome is 1 of 2 test stores. If you havent been there, totally different, not sure I like it. Too "upscale" you can order off big screen TVs, no menu or pricing published which I don't like. TV's all over with news, sports, and offers, which I do like. 2 of those Coke machines that have like everything. You can however sit at this awesome elevated bar and watch them cook everything. Heck even the kitchen is UBER nice, like way nicer than any I have seen, which is a lot. The food was super fresh and the workers were more friendly than any except the old ghetto one that was off S Hamilton Rd and Refugee which closed and moved South to Hamilton and Winchester pk. But the super nice lady moved with it, and it was awesome. Loved every trip there, minus how ghetto it was. The one in Hilliard is super nice though and worth the trek if you really need WC's.
  8. I had thought that, but for 89.99 shipped and now looks like running 240 won't be much I couldn't pass up the deal. Now if I had a big garage like my parents and was on NG I would probably do that. Especially because we have an old 80% in the house now and want a 95-96% variable 2 stage soon, but with twins on the way, have to really crunch $$. Plus I don't plan on needing the garage over 50deg anytime and really 45 in the winter, so not sure I would want/need that much heat. Granted can never have too much lol. Now I need to get in the attic this weekend and check the insulation, or lack there of, over the 6 feet of uncovered garage roof. I am guessing it has close to none. Probably rake some in there Sunday to help keep the heat in.
  9. If this was white, it would be sold. GLWS I really dig these.
  10. I like where your head is at, already drew up what I want run out there. Especially for the business I plan to be doing, lots of attention to detail. But yeah, I am planning sub panel in the basement running to several sets of plugs, at least 1 #10 for the heater, and then space in the sub panel to add another for a bigger compressor. I have a small one and won't need a big one for business. But I will want plug and/or the option to add more of those and lights. Just talked to a guy to come out Wednesday of next week to quote. I believe Bowdog sent me an electrician too going to double check and contact Bowdog if not.
  11. Change in plans, going electric. Found one that is 89.00 shipped brand new, and exactly 1/2 the size of my dads that he uses to heat his 6 car attached with 12 foot cielings. Called him this AM to confirm and it's actually got more options than his. 5000Watt, 4000watt, 3000watt options 18,750btu 240volt, 60hz, 1 phase with fan and thermostat 89.00 shipped from some random farm and fleet store Going to get a sub panel installed as I wanted to add outlets in the garage anyways, so just going to have this done along with it. Pretty stoked, may actually look at getting it done sooner than later after finding this so cheap. That was also an invite for anyone who has/knows how to do this correctly/professionally/permit/legal to let me know if they want some side work. PM or post up contact so we can discuss. I don't do electrical except for small stuff, but am more than willing to help run the wire into the garage and the manual labor stuff.
  12. True on so many accounts. Parenting is unreal these days.
  13. You can, just takes some time. I had practice on my other CRKT and its way bigger, and I got little girl hands. But yeah, this knife is legit, I like the size and the long pocket clip a lot more than my other EDC I was using. Definitely buying more of these when they come back. Blade is uber sharp out of package, at least on my scale. And the tanto is legit, love 1/2 serrated like it is too.
  14. Loved the P's when I ran them. Saved some coin over Michelins too, actually a lot of coin and lasted a long longer.
  15. Actually may be interested in this as I kinda need an early camp trip to get the TH set up and un-winterized. No plans that weekend as of now and could sleep up to 8 people pretty comfy if needed. When do you need to know by? Obvioiusly have to run all this by the wife, but the toy hauler comes out the 1st weekend of April from storage and I like to get it unbuttoned early in the month, so this would be ideal.
  16. Yeah, the Wusthoff's in the kitchen scare me but they also made my food prep sooo much easier. Cleaned this guy up nice, TAO applied twice and keeping it covered at work for today. Nothing major, but was a nice clean slice.
  17. Woah, prices for direct vent heaters are WAY up there, whats up with that? Im curious if the vent free would be fine since I would run it off a thermostat and if I wasn't in the garage using it, which during the cold months I don't plan to be often, I would have it set about 50, maybe lower actually so wonder how much it would run and if that would still be an issue? I know my old neighbors had one installed in their garage for winters and that thing was always nice and toasty.
  18. I remember that thread but I read it and didn't really find what I wanted. Vented isn't really an issue, it can be hung close to the outside wall, so may look into that too. Install looks straight forward and I was actually buying hole saws this weekend to add a deadbolt to the door in from garage so guess I'll just get multi use of them, or my dremmel. 1 thing, definitely don't need 50,000 BTU tho lol. I'll look much smaller than that.
  19. Made the mistake of leaving my bigger CRKT open last night after opening some new mag packages on the bed, went to pick up the trash and sliced the pinky pretty good. Thing is beyond razor sharp that's for sure. Hopeing this CRKT is as sharp and durable because that first one has been abused nicely and never sharpened.
  20. Thanks Bowdog, yeah I'm looking 20-30K BTU only, slightly smaller LOL! You got all that for under $2K installed with all parts? Dang, this has me rethinking and calling whoever did that for you for the labor and parts minus heater, unless they deal with small units too. That had to be uber cheap for labor and parts.
  21. Okay, so some things are changing and I believe I'm going to be going to work for myself starting after the twins are born. Oh yeah, I'll start a new post on that but most probably know, we're having twins in June/July. With that said, the new profession will have me doing some work in the garage which is a 2 car, normal sized, attached, insulated style garage. I've been running an electric heater out there 1500w but it along with my F250's block heater on a timer keeps tripping breakers about every 2-3 days, and can't keep up with the cold temps to a temp I desire. Better than 32deg but not 55deg like I want. I plan to add more insulation in the cieling, and probably getting the walls drywalled(Bowdog cough cough) this summer while we're off with the newbies. Anyways, I want to add natural gas heat out there, a vent free heater that is. We only park 1 car in there, and then the 5th wheel hitch and golfcart in the winter months and my summer wheels/tires. Our current natural gas setup is on the other side of the house, and has a cap and switch already on the end that I would be tapping into, it's all iron pipe, no flex pipe. Is there anything specifically I need to do in order to run some pipe to the crawlspace then through the wall to the garage and then feed to where I want the heater? Is this something I just should pay someone to do next fall? I'm trying to stay within a decent budget, but also be safe about things. We will eventually run another 10 feet of line into the fireplace, possibly at the same time depending on cost. Anyone around Cbus done any gas line work? Willing to make some cash on the side but have it done right? Recommendations, friends, family, etc? I don't need a huge heater out there, just something to keep it about 55deg would be nice and not trip the breaker so often/at all. Been looking at the Menards vent free heaters and the sqft sounds fine for the larger ones. Thanks
  22. Definitely one of the biggest events I miss about no longer racing is this trip. Some of my best memories surrounding 2 wheels and good friends were during these trips and I can vouch this is worth every cent.
  23. Cant wait for a shotty CAC course and more CAC pistol stuff.
