    Back in Ohio

    welcome! m109's are pimpin.
  3. the buy back price has everything to do with what a shitty condition your bike is currently in, not what the market demand is like. just tell them that given the frame, forks, swingarm, etc etc etc are all ruined, you're essentially using it for nuts and bolts (lol) seriously though.

    Big Pine

i don't typically speed through roads like that unless some goon is in front of me and i don't want them to wait for my law abiding ass... can you ask them what's a reasonable speed through there? also, this is more for other people since i hardly ever go down that way. i do recall seeing horses there, though.

    The Dragon

this is the first time i've heard of this... "dragon" i'm intrigued... tell me moar
  6. well, maybe that's not a bad option either. i could get to the parking spot by 8:30, unload and suit up and be rolling out by 9 with you guys. it's that or just ride down to millersburg. i'll figure something out and tell you what's going on. i'm just 1 guy, so i won't waste any more valuable thread space with simpleton logistics.
  7. the starting point is pretty far out west for me. i will take responsibility for myself if i get lost or get there too late (I don't mind riding alone). if you tell me about how long it normally takes for you guys to get to that marathon from the start, and give me a call when you guys do leave the start point (and if anything goes awry), i will just get there early and wait for you guys to pass by and join the rear. I'm debating the trailering part (i will be on the buell, and it has new tires, so i might rather just ride there to break in the tires before we get to the "good" roads) so i'll let you know what happens with that. i don't know where i could park the trailer and car anyway. for reference, it will take me about 1.5 hours to get to wooster from mentor and just under 2 hours to get to millersburg from mentor. i believe it's 2hrs and 25min from mentor to eaton township to millersburg.
  8. also, i'm not sure if 255 and 536 are still closed or not. really, 255 and 536 were both open when we rode through there on july 11th but the signs said they were supposed to be closed. i have no idea what's going on.
  9. i should be in for this unless i skip out for a track day weekend at grattan or something or other. heh heh i'll post this up on CORE and here and there if you don't mind.
  10. only if you promise to stuff him into every corner possible.
  11. i'm going to punch you in the vajayjay. yeah, i didn't see with my own eyes, but go see Nate next time you're at midohio. I dunno what he's doing, but he's doing things right on his stock 600rr with corsa III's. he said once he hit the mid 30's, it started getting a little wonky on him. i'm with you there on the "being 'fast' at nelson's involving balls more than skill, although i'm sure the guys running sub 10's there have quite a bit of both. i look at nelson's as an indicator for how much i trust my bike at lean on a shit surface and at high speed. the less i let off for the kink and the more i lean through the carousel, the more my balls drop. needless to say, they're still up near my belly button somewhere. i think todd or his crew does the safety wiring for like a hundred or 150, so i might have them do it, unless it's not that hard to do. i still have to find a race lower for my 600rr though, since i'm still on my ratty OEM plastics.
  12. i'd do it if i could get my crap wired up. too lazy and too slow to do it lawl hey, it was great seeing you there. i thought you did pretty awesome considering it was your first time there. i wouldn't be in too big of a hurry, i don't think we're anywhere near a pace worth getting too excited over. i mean, it's a great feeling watching my times drop, but considering i started from 1:25's, and am just now hitting the very low 20's/high teens, in the grand scheme of things... it's very much meh. i'll be impressed if i can hit mid 40's one of these days at mid oh. even that would be really pretty sad since some of the instructors are running their street tires into the low-mid 30's there without breaking much of a sweat. craziness.

this is seriously pimptastic. i'm sorry i missed this. at least i got to see the bike when it got there.
  14. I was gathering my dark materials for a zombie piloted mecha army, when I found this: thighs and buns of exo skeletor i'm going to put these kiwis together with that schmuck that developed the ergos for the ever popular segway, and force them to make me an army of mecha suits. next, i go to japan so i can find a suitable theme song for my inevitable anime. but seriously, this is really cool, especially for paraplegics.
  15. bit of an update. efuse is still utter bullshit, but apparently won't brick it... just renders it useless until you put the "approved" crap back on. still not buying it til someone figures out how to get around it. http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/16/motorola-responds-to-droid-x-bootloader-controversy-says-efuse/
  16. so what is it exactly? is it like a giant car/bike meet/show?
  17. no zombie anal, no sale
  18. i'm not commenting on the "street cred" of the blogger, but from what i saw, isn't he a loan broker for alternative energy industry (specifically wind mills maybe?) so to say he's "in the biz" is like saying "PETA is in the biz of fur coat marketing"
  19. that's kewl. my bike is at my mechanic's, just finished with getting a new set of tires put on. keep your eye(s) open for rides from the "northeast" forum. i mostly ride at the track now, but i like to hop on a street ride here and there. see you around!
  20. if you are confident in the bike's condition, let them total it and write you a check for the amount (there is some bartering on what a proper amount is for your bike). then, barter on the buyback price of your bike.
  21. welcome to the board. i'm in mentor too. if you see a blue two door towing a trailer with a yellow POS 600rr somewhere, that's me. also, i ride my red buell 1125cr on occasion.
  22. so i should stop searching for you on google?
