see, so you agree with me. personally speaking, if i did even 1% of my work from my home PC in a given year (and i do about 10%), i've more than made up for what i have into it in terms of dollars spent vs earned. now, like what you're saying: you just like the immersion, level of detail, the "full" experience, or playing multiplayer with friends, whatever... those are all things one can't put a dollar value on. i'll be the last person to really make any jabs about a hobby (if i added up what i spend on bikes, guns, track days and racing, i'd shit a gold brick). my point was about playing on the cheap... and for me, playing on the pc IS cheaper because all the costs i have into the computer build and games and whatever is wiped out by the amount i've earned by doing work from it. my PS3 doesn't do anything to put bread on the table but my PC does.
