  1. I'm out tonight. Maybe tomorrow. busy, busy. :)

  2. Garage bar is cool. Be a nice place for a bike night if they had a parking lot. Not an issue now, but maybe they could open their patio to bikes next year?
  3. Anyone seen this? Pretty sweet. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2010models/2010-Honda-VT750C2AShadowPhantom.htm
  4. Ohio Riders is pretty goddamn awesome. Great group of people, have not met anyone that is a complete asshole yet. I've also noticed the more you put into and the more you attend events, the more you'll get out of it. I might get banned when I buy a Harley, but the haters can go to hell. Just kidding, but I really am thinking of getting a Dyna.
  5. I just did this a couple days ahead of Earache and Casper. It is not real easy to do, most of it doesn't exist anymore. In my opinion the best thing to do is take interstate, 40 runs along most of it. That way you can get off where it has been kept up. I could see it in places from the interstate, lots of broken up gravel. I got off and road it a few times though. Most of the historical places are only in the cities anymore, no reason(besides being impossible) to actually take the whole route. Here are a few. I started in St Louis, which has a few sections that are marked. Didn't see a whole lot of it marked in the rest of MO, except near Joplin I think. I don't think OK has done anything with it, could be wrong. Texas has quite a bit, Shamrock, Amarillo and others use it for tourists. NM has tons, Central Ave through Albuquerque is probably the largest intact part in the whole country. Was sweet, almost like being in a time machine. Don't know about the rest of the western portion, went south from Albuquerque.
  6. If 5 bucks covers food, that's good. More may be okay if needed, but 5 bucks isn't bad and I don't see anyone complaining about it. Maybe for a fundraiser, do a best costume, $5 entry, do 60/40, 60% for top 3 costumes, 40 for OR or KofC charities.
  7. you're damn right. I hate cold. I'm tempted to go ahead and winterize the bike now. I probably will late October.
  8. Go for it. If you plan it, they will come.
  9. I don't know, if the Universals are done correctly they could be awesome. Dracula 2000 pops in my head though and makes me think that they would be crap, so probably better left alone.
  10. http://www.toplessrobot.com/2009/09/rorschach_had_a_nightmare_on_elm_street.php New Nightmare on Elm Street. Rorschach is Freddy. Good casting. Hope it's not like the remakes they have been pumping out lately. I'm all for a good update, but does anyone have an original horror movie idea anymore? Michael Bay's name on anything scares me. While not directing, I'm sure he'll have to have an exploding helicopter in there somehow. I was 7 when the original came out in 84. Horror movies rocked then, lots of blood, dismemberment, flashes of T&A, perfect for a young boy. I remember cowering behind my dad while we watched it. It started my love affair with horror and gloom.
  11. Halloween probably isn't a night anyone wants to drive far. It should be about booze, fun, and chicks that dress naughty because it's the one night they can get away with it with no social repercussions. Perhaps there should be more than one party, maybe Cbus and Cleveland? Does southwest Ohio have enough members to organize something? Better chance of pleasing more people with a couple of parties in this case, maybe even on different weekends so people could go to both if they wanted. There are a couple reasons that it seems like OR sponsored events take place in Columbus, at least from what I've seen over the past 6 months or so I've been a member. 1. It really is easier to go to for a statewide event. 2-2½ hours for some seems more fair than 5 hours for a small few. 2. Probably the biggest reason. From what I've seen the people that take the initiative to organize something happen to live here. I'm all for state-wide events. If I would see a thread about a meet & greet in Cleveland, I'll be there for sure. I know a bunch of other Columbus folks would be in front of me( I don't lead, my bike is slow). Moose seems like he already started organizing something in Columbus. Does anyone up north have the resources to do so? If so step up and make it happen so you NEO guys and girls(or elsewhere) get some OR love too.
  12. As long as its not raining, I'm in the 10th.

  13. That's crazy, happened to me to, After my knee surgeries, tried out of high school to serve, recruiter told me no way. Tried again a couple years later while in college probably around '98. Took the ASVAB and scored 99 percentile, they were almost ready to blow me to sign up, and I pretty much could have went to any program in any branch. Went to do the physical , remember it being some overnight ordeal. Had a meeting with a few guys that wanted to me to change some medical info and get another surgery to remove the pins that I have. I was real close to doing it.
  14. What amazes me is that the campaigns for this seldom mention what the vote is actually for, and that is something about jobs rather than casinos. People are going to gamble no matter what if they want to. Out of state, illegally, whatever. Let em do it here. This particular vote for it may not be the correct one, there are some problems with it, but eventually we need to let it happen. I don't understand why they make about the jobs. So we get some people migrating to Ohio. Better than the usual trend of leaving. Most of the low wage jobs here are being working by foreign immigrants anyway, so it doesn't change anything. Anyone living and working here still pays Ohio taxes and spends money at Ohio businesses.
  15. Check your gmail ASAP.

For the 10th, Scott and Tom are in, Pat is out. Scott suggested a lake in NW Ohio, sounds good to me.

  16. I've been DVRing season 2 and watching it a few days late. As good or better than season 1. I hope it is pretty obvious who put to peg bundy. They showed the freakin' tattoo.
  17. I may stop over in the truck for a minute. I'm still not in the 100% riding mood after the trip out west, and I think a few drinks sound good.
  18. Wow, keep that up and I might turn into the arrogant prick I was 10 years ago. Seriously, thanks for the kind words from you and everyone.
  19. Cool, let's see if Pat , Scott, Tom and ?? are interested as well. They may have some ideas too. I'll PM and ask them. Anyone else?

  20. no ride this weekend, partying hard with some old with friends I haven't seen for a while. Jagr and I are trying to do something the 10th I think.
  21. did you get me email about KY?

  22. No worries, I'm cool with it, probably more than I should be. Just want to sell the house and move on, but I'm not in such a hurry that I'll lowball it. Only been on the market 3 days and has had several showings already, We(and our realtor) think it will go pretty quick at a good price.
  23. 23 and living with parents is totally cool. 33 is a little weird. 43, go shoot yourself, unless you are taking care of a sick parent.
  24. Saw the other thread about the house for sale, never even thought about that we did that here. Figured I may as well post this up. Sad as it is, my wife Shauna and I thought it best to go our separate ways. Wasn't really expecting this, took my trip out west, everything was great, got back, told her I was ready for kids, she finally went to an OR meet and greet, got home that afternoon and ended a 7 year relationship. Surprise! We were having problems a while back, but I thought we were through them. I am oblivious. No worries, it's good. Oh well, that means I have to sell my house now. Only been on the market a few days and getting some views, should go fast(I hope). Very desirable area near Dublin. Half the neighborhood is Dublin, half Columbus with Worthington Schools. Columbus Taxes, 43235 ZIP. Great neighbors, very family friendly. I've done about $15000(with me doing the labor) in remodels the past 3 years. New deck, both bathrooms have been remodeled completely(took them both down the studs and subfloor), Great bar and floor to ceiling shelves in finished basement. 3 bedroom 2 bath. 3 level split. 2 Car garage, I've done a lot of work on our yard, Tons of stone, pretty nice. Good size yard(smaller back yard, big side yard, and small front). On a quiet cul-de-sac. Newer roof(2005), vinyl siding with brick front, appliances are all about 3 years old. Partly fenced by the neighbors, I was going to finish it in the spring. One side is dog ear, one is shadow box. I was planning on turning the dog ear side into a shadowbox, the neighbor and I talked about it and he built the fence backwards for me to do this, I'm sure this would still be okay. Here's a link for pics. If you use my realtor as your buying agent, I know I can save you a bit right there. Let me know if anyone is interested, or know anyone that may be. http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/2030-Fincastle-Ct_Columbus_OH_43235_1112765707
