  6. nice. you guys are rattling off exactly what we play. I would love to do nutshell, one of my favorite songs to sing, not sure how well it go over if girls want to dance. weezer, how about hashpipe?
  7. Well after a few years of being a bystander, I finally got back into music and joined a band again. I never realized how happy it me. We're coming along pretty good, should be ready to gig regularly in a few months as a cover band. Originals will be coming, but down the road. All of just want to get into the swing of things for a while. One of the toughest aspects of a cover band is song selection. I am hoping with vast number of people that hop on this board, we can get a good cross section of what people like to hear. We're pretty much open to anything, pop, rock, a little country. We are predominately a modern rock band(think 106.7 in Columbus), so usually we twist other genres into rock. Anyway, what do like to hear when you see a cover band? Does it depend on the venue? Do you go see cover bands to dance? just to hear some music? Background noise? Just go because the singer is cute? Throw out some songs that get you excited. My vocal range is decent, along the lines of Eddie Vedder(Pearl Jam)/ Bono(U2)/ Aaron Lewis(Staind)/ Jason Ross(Seven Mary Three). Don't limit it to that type of music, we play everything from 4 Non-Blondes, Johnny Cash, Katy Perry, Sublime, whatever. I do suck at 80's music like Journey though, but throw it anyway. We may just play it different. I would appreciate any feedback you can give. I have a song survey, but its an excel file with 200 songs that I figured no one would want to fill out. I can post if requested. Thanks!
  8. Shop around, I think I paid around $100 for the ISO pegs and the stirrups. Iron Pony will match prices too if you ask a manager. Try scootworks, com or amazon. Dennis Kirk may even have them cheaper. For long riding, it was some of the best money I've spent on the bike.
  9. check out stirrups, floorboard feel without the bulk and no loss of ground clearance. I love mine, takes away quite a bit of fatigue. http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.Products/catID/18/scID/118
  10. I actually would do the zombie, not a giant fan but I'd go IF I wasn't going to be out of town. Going to see family for the holidays, heading out right after work the 25th.

Bummer about your back. Hopefully nothing serious and gets healed up soon.

Now when you say fighting form, do you just want to get in shape? Or are you wanting to beat some people down? :)

  11. I don't. big stress relief. At least next time, I have half the work done already.

    You good? Been riding?

I did about 100 miles yesterday, no time today though.

Hah! Helmet just popped up in your music. good tune, haven't heard that for a while.

I meant to tell you I was in a bar in new orleans called the dungeon, all metal all the time. Five findger death punch was in regular rotation. there were even people moshing.

  12. Yeah, I was watching some of the videos, looked like it got pretty crazy and fun. Like I said, next night out, I'm there. just let me know.

  13. not too much, dropped the java class today so have some free time and nowhere near as much stress......

until next semester when I have to do it again. :(

  14. no fairies. Just a good hyper drunk buzz.
  15. I've had real thujone absinthe in Canada. Back in the day I was into hallucinogens quite a bit, and the green fairy didn't impress me much. It's a different kind of buzz for sure; I liked it as far as alcohol goes, but don't expect to trip or anything. Get some shrooms for that.
  16. pretty funny and truthful..... hopefully not a re-post. http://www.holytaco.com/thursday-morning-link-dump-15
  17. Have fun tonight, hopefully he's terrible since I couldn't make it. :) Next time an event is planned I am going unless I lose a limb or something.

  18. Sorry guys, I lost a friend in a similar freak accident on a dirt bike, I know it's tough. Hang in there and remember your friend, condolences to you and his family.
  19. I'm pretty sure last season Gemma and Clay had some pillow talk about how they took out old man Teller. Fonz and others, does watching this show kinda make you wanna turn the DTC into a hardcore 1% MC?
