  1. Fun last night? We didn't get done until 11. I thought it was going to take an hour, took 4.

  2. got busy friday at work and forgot to take the file with me. I should be able to get the re-work for you this afternoon. :)

  3. I'll throw it up for a vote. I've been getting a ton or requests for three days grace. I think they will be going in the mix soon. I would like to try some dropkick murphys, not sure how effective I would would be without the irish brogue.
  4. Is it popular? I had never heard of it or the band before jhaag suggested it. I have some odd tastes in music, but I usually keep up with most of the pop and indie-pop as well.
  5. You mean first show. I haven't played in a band in about 8 years. These guys started up about a year ago and have been after me to come play with them. Finally did about 2 months ago, and was blown away by the progress they made in a year. So now they did all the hard learning stuff and I get to jump right in. I'm working on getting our sound quality to where it needs to be, bought a killer PA this week,(fun stuff getting money out of musicians.), and we're working on production. I am a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff. So we just need to learn about 30 more songs, tighten it all up and we'll be ready. and we need a name. Pretty much that was two long paragraphs to say we're aiming for February.
  6. not bad. not quite my style but...... I don't know that it's it's well known enough to be a good cover, drunk people tend to like music they know and can sing too.

    OR Fancy

    From the album: random

  8. PM Hoblick and ask him if he has any ideas. He does great detailing, he may know of a good compound to really get them clean and protect for the future.
  9. Cool, it's collecting dust so when ever you need it, just let me know.

  10. Do you still need the jack?

  11. If no one on the board can get you deal, check Firestone. I used to run Potenzas on my Mustang, and they always seemed to have the best prices.
  12. Cool, I'll check back with you when mine sells, if it's available I'll check it out, but if you get a tenant in the meantime, take it.
  13. Naked Karate Girls are great showmen, and as far as stage presence, they have something we can probably never touch. As musicians, they need all of that act to hide some of the stuff they miss on. They use a lot of pre-recorded loops, skip over hard parts of songs. But the average listener doesn't care about that, they like a good show, which NKG does extremely well. I'm hoping we can be the other way around, and put on a good show by playing quality music well, and have the act just back up the music. We're all about doing what is necessary to put on a great show, but not be a novelty act either. I'm not familiar with most of the new suggestions except maybe incubus, I'll check them out. Thanks!
  14. J, could do that for sure. I like it. Never heard it before, but actually think it was in the set list before I joined. My bassist would go crazy to do this, this is his type music. BTW, the hookup in the beginning was just painful to watch, and I was fast forwarding through it. That guy is lucky he is rich, or he would never get any if that is how talks to girls.
  15. Have a garage? I may be interested in this if it is still empty when my house sells, but it may be a few months from now. What street, and east or west of High?
  16. I think we have an Outkast song in the mix; I haven't done it, but I'm still pretty new with these guys. I don't sing on a few songs, so it may still be in there. We do have keyboards as well on a few songs, so not a problem. Any more suggestions? In this situation, female opinions go to the top of the list, so girls, speak up. It's just how being in a cover band works. You get girls come to dance, guys come to hit on girls, guys buy lots of alcohol for the girls and courage to dance, good alcohol sales mean we get to back and play there again and get paid. Now if we were playing in a roomful of guys, we may play some stuff that we normally wouldn't, and we are trying to prepare for that as well. I'm kinda hoping the OR crowd will be regulars at the shows as well, so we are taking your suggestions seriously. MJ, Save Me went over well with the other guys, so it will be in the list soon. I don't really see us being a shtick band like Naked Karate Girls. I know that brings a crowd too, but we are hoping that a showed played well, upbeat, and good production will overcome lack of trying to be silly. Don't get me wrong; we are all about having fun and getting the crowd going, I just don't see us dressing up in bunny costumes or running around in bikini underwear.
  17. Fury is 13k, VTX is 10k (MSRP). probably somewhere in between I would think, but maybe more than the Fury.
  18. http://powersports.honda.com/street/cruisers/1300-custom-line.aspx They have my interest, I may to check one of these out.
  19. now I am going to come just to show that I can be semi-reliable.
  20. No promises, but I am going to try to make it down.
  21. I'm a big Doors fan, we'll do Roadhouse Blues, maybe Light my Fire, but most of the other good songs are too long. The End is one my all time favorites, but as a cover and the fact that I will not be hypnotizing the audience because I am not Jim Morrison, it may put people to sleep.
  22. Lots of bands in here we can and like to play. Any specific song requests that you like to dance to?
