9mm is cheaper then .380 and easier to find right now. If you are looking for a used gun I have a few leads if you are interested. A glock 26, a bersa .380. and a taurus pt92 9mm. I listed them in order of best gun to worst IMO. They are all good guns most will say get a glock.

I had a pt145 and it would ftl with a few of the hp I tried in it, I was told by the smith at my shop SOME short barrel guns ramps are to steep to load certain hp all the time with out a problem. Even unloaded the spring is under load right? does it wear it out, no. I leave my carry guns mag loaded all the time. the only motion it gets is range use, or when I put it in the safe I drop the mag clear the chamber and put the round back in the mag before I put it away. The spring has plenty of force to work as it was ment to.

Cleave UI use powerball in my carry weapon and home gun. Its designed to not over penetrate It may not be up to someones standards, but I like it and it feeds like a fmj also, less likely to jam in a short barrel.

Mags will break in with use. mine did. Trigger also will get smoother with use. as for the shooting low and right? I am gonna assume shooter error? could be the way you are gripping it OR you could be a great shot and the sights might be slightly off from the factory?

^^^ agree get what ever fits your hand and feels right. Thats what I did, handled dozens of guns before I picked the ones I have had. I have gone thru a few to settle on what I like and fits my hand best. If it is not in your price range rent it see if you realy like it if you do save up for it then. Dont buy a 300 dollar gun now cause it had to be now. save if you want a pricey gun that you like(been there) It is easier to save for what you want then to sell a gun you settled on.

I gots a ball peen hammer and a punch you can use with a big wood block! all I used on mines LOL I once went to a shop(state8) to get a chain sprockets put on and went in the back to wait, they used the same method.
