Was looking at the tactical models mostly due to the upgraded triggers they come with. Do the varmint models come with adjustable triggers?

So are we talking meet have a burger then ride? Or meet have a burger sit around kick tires look at the bikes kinda thing? I know of some decent roads in the valley near QSL. If it is meet, have some food, then ride I am in. Besides the 2nd is my B-day so the third would be good. The wife can't say no for the b-day! LOL

So is it better then the savage out of the box? I am not looking to buy a gun then throw tons of money into it right away. Pretty much would like to buy one out the box that is pretty good, add a nice scope and bipod and be done.

looking to get a new long gun. I am looking at a .308 which one would be a better gun out of the box as I am not looking to spend a ton of money making it better? Savage model 10 fcp hs Rem model 700 sps in .308 or the ruger m77 hawkeye tactical in .308

For those who are new to the area or riding you will learn after awhile that bike nites are boring. meet there then go for a ride. Or better yet skip it and ride on sunday mornings. Whats better sitting around listening to some punk squids talk about there 12 oclock bar and how FAST they are? Or hitting some real roads in south east ohio and doing some real riding? I may pop in if it is a bike night thing but will not be sticking around sorry just not my scene?!

I wear a 38 jeans and they are a bit loose. Yes it has a 3/4 zipper with both sides of it still I never had it put on my jacket.

Nope only left the house today to go to the range. would have been hard to transport two long guns and ammo to the range on the bike!? saw a ton of bikes out on the west side though.

Despite getting burned twice from hot steel cases out of the mini it was a good time. Yeah I think I have the scope right there for the mini. The 597 is good also, I think maybe a bit right but not much. It is hard to sight in scopes when the target is moving from the strings bouncing. Good times, and nice guns.

Nice meeting you today Scottb, and good work with the shotgun/savage. It seemed like your 870 was working as it should. And the savage looks like a nice rifle even if it has the accutech trigger and not the accu trigger. The homies on the lane next to you were a little worrysome. Hope you had fun shooting today, you did fine for a first range trip. Now lets find an outdoor place already!

Wally world by me had some new stuff in yesterday. RSW 9mm anyone every shoot this stuff? kinda pricey. Was 16 bucks for 50 rnds of 124gr fmj. I have seldom seen 124gr fmj mostly it is 115gr fmj in 9mm. I might try one box to see how it shoots but at that price I will get something else most likely.

Ok so it looks like all the outdoor places are either closed still or private? So for now it sounds like a trip to stonewall is gonna be our only option. For anyone interested in meeting up to shoot. Scottb and I were planning to meet at stonewall around 2pm and shoot for a hour or so. I will be bringing my 597 and my mini-14 target. Will have my xd on me also weather or not i shoot that? Anyone is welcome to meet up but this is a range in broadview hts on rt 82. So if ya live in c-bus and want to hike up your more then welcome.

Alot of times dicks get combo pack not listed or show on the factory web page. My 597 is like this the color stock with smooth barrel and scope combo is not listed on the web site either. Does it look something like this, but with a scope on it?

I found it at a show silver bear soft points for $15 for 20rnds. gander is way high on ammo. I could use them in a pinch if I cant find any though.

Southern cuyahoga is not public it is a private club I have tried to contact them before they are very bad about returning calls or meeting with people. I have heard of a and a before never been there. There is also a state range down in the grand river area in portage.

I know Scottb and I were planning to meet and go shooting on sunday but is anyone planning on doing some outdoor shooting this weekend with the nice weather? If so what range is open outdoors this time of year? I am getting tired of shooting at stonewall all winter.

Why do you need to make it a 2 day ride to ride 555? I was just wondering we do it all the time in one day meet in bolivar on 212 @ 8am, ride down rt93 and you are in zanesville by 10:00 quick fill up run thru town and your on 555. it ends up being a 500+ mile day but it is not that bad. A trailer would make the flat ride down there better LOL! Thats the worse part is the slab down to bolivar and back.

I think I am gonna skip the show don't think it is gonna be any better then they have been in berea. The prices are way to high and if selling something no one wants to pay what is fair they all want it for cheap. I plan to go shoot I have to sight the scope in on my 597 I took the stock one off and put on a nikon prostaff I had on the mini. I also want to get some pratice in with the 9mm I have not shot it in about three weeks.

The three I saw on close out under 500 were all 22-250. They may have had more I dont know? Was at the north olmstead/ great northern mall store.

Step away from the futura now! They are junk. the two people I know who have them the bike is in the shop more then they ride it. Heck the one guys died on a ride with us this summer and had to be bump started. and now his clutch is locked in first gear. It also has killed two batteries in three years due to a weak stator. They look very cool but I would get a viffer or something else. I am also looking into this type of bike for my next one. @34 I am getting done with the stink bug stance of most sport bikes.

Ha! I get welding school for free from work just have to do 16 hour days till class is over! I use to work with the basic instructor so he is trying to get me in the next few classes. I dont think I will go all the way thru tig as it would take 12 weeks I beleive. But stick/mig, pipe, submerged arc, are on my to learn list. I can hack weld with stick and mig but they are not pretty.
