Wow guess that is the difference between a $75 class and a more expensive one!! our instructor told us MANY times you never carry a s/a cocked unless you want to shoot your self or have a negligent discharge. I don't carry yet but when my license comes back in I plan to carry loaded. when in the house it is on my body at all times, or unloaded in the safe locked up. IP you disappoint me, why no talk of fine motor skills needed to chamber a weapon? And how when in a high stress situation you revert back to primary motor skills?

I just set up my appointment with cuyahoga for friday at 8:30am, said it is taking 1-3 weeks for the return. Medina was the 28th to get in and 2-4 weeks. So best case would be just over a week from friday.

I have a pt-145 and like it alot. never had any issues with it. I have the stainless model and paid $379 for it new. There are smaller .45 out there, but for a 10+1 gun it is pretty small. I like my xd but the size of the pt-145 is much better. I am going to call Medina today to see about going in to drop off my paper work. will let you guys know what they say.

Thanks for the rep Drum. I was shooting pretty good that day. You did real well on the second round from what I saw. The guy with the revolver was BAD, he does not need to own a gun let alone carry one. there were a few others that were almost as bad though.

Not throwing any mud but a guy at our class this weekend borrowed a glock 26 and hated it when he shot it. Almost didn't pass his shooting portion at first he was ALL over the target with that little thing. Even with the instructors helping him with his grip he still was having problems keeping it in his hand. Just saying? the guys with the subcompact xd's all shot above a 96 on there test.

Well then the class you had was way different then the one that commencefire.com has. We spent most of the start of the morning going over laws and safety. Spent the late morning going over how fire arms work. Had lunch then we had to get up practice handling a gun and proper grip, trigger squeeze, and point of aim on target. Keith the head instructor owner of the class never brought up ANY politics, or his stance on anything. He did mention buckeye firearms as a big source of why we have the rights we do in Ohio. He helped me get my groups alot tighter at the range also just by correcting a few of my bad habits with my grip. put 40 of the 50 shots in a two inch hole. with the other 10 within a inch or so of that. I am most likely going back in spring to do a advanced tatical shooting course with Keith.

Well I am now ready to go get my form dropped off at the sheriffs office. Class went real well. missed 3 on the written test? I suck at test on paper. Shooting went real well. got a 100 strong side with a few weak side shots thrown in. We had time so I did the test over again and got 97 using my weak hand only. Drum did real well also. good class I feel it was well worth the money spent for the eye opening I felt I got.

Just got in my flyer from fin feather and fur they are having a sale on guns. the xd is $449 for the model I have the compact is the same it think? they also had the m&p on sale in compact.

Price on brass went up some. I think they are feeling the squeeze from the ammo manufacturers. I am looking to buy reloading stuff here soon from a guy across the street. he has .223 dies and .45 so all I will need is 9mm.

Well we got in to shoot for like 15 mins literally. But they didn't charge us which was cool of them. put a few mags down the .45 and a few down the xd9. Drum shot my xd for a few mags. My bad I thought they stayed open late on Sundays?
