  1. hmm that's a good idea. lol. but i'd rather have some way to know how low i can go. that's the fun... but how do you get the front tire strips off?
  2. lol, that's one way to put it. so wait these are good strips? i thought the 2-inch wide wear down in the center was the strip...?
  3. if it's your first time riding to work, just know you'll be anxious all day if you cant see your bike. but that fades the more you do it.
  4. haha, i'll get you one, i do have a good noob strip down the middle but i also do a lot of highway commuting. almost got it scrubbed in edge to edge
  5. so after reading some of the posts about the art of hanging off the bike, I realized i've been doing the "goon" style with my ass on the seat and bringing my body out only. Tried taking some very familiar turns and highway ramps getting my ass off the seat and man that makes a difference. Definitely made me feel a lot more comfortable in the turn AND I finally made the Michelin Man eat some asphalt!!! don't flame I'm proud of it!
  6. seriously, the police say this isnt a scare tactic but gimme a break. you telling me we've cut everything else unnecessary we can that now we have to threaten "not pursuing minor crimes as much" if the city doesnt approve more taxes? that's fucking extortion. "Give us more money or we won't protect you anymore." How is that any different than mob shit?
  7. the one with the "invisible" black guy is my favorite
  8. anyone else see this proposal on the news? apparently the Jackets owner wants the city to pay for Nationwide arena's operation using beer, wine, and cigarette tax increases. thoughts?
  9. Haha, i had no intention of buying a GM/Chrysler vehicle. Actually I almost feel like i need to buy a Ford just to reward them for not taking the bailout. and i would like to get a Tundra/Tacoma or Titan/Frontier if I can, they're just not cheap. @ VW - love the GTI, but i cant help feel that their styling is gonna make them one of those "what were they thinking" cars in 10 years, look too Geo Metro-like. But along that lines, I have been considering an Audi TT, be a pretty similar setup i'd imagine.
  10. Saturday, September 19 - 2:00PM-8:00PM (2 day pricing for September 19-20 available) Sunday, September 20 - 2:00PM-8:00PM Mid-Ohio has these two days which are actually weekend days for those of us who cant get off work. I think i'm gonna shoot for one (or both!) of those dates. Got a lot of $$$ to save up first. Need more gear.
  11. the sidi's left a lot of room around my ankles and mid foot.
  12. try em on first. i was not a big fan of the Sidi fit when i tried them on. the A* SMX-Plus boots fit amazingly.
  13. thought about it, i'd personally prefer a car as i'm not really a truck guy, but if i really would like to get into doing track days and riding 2 hours up to mid-ohio on the bike beforehand seems like it'd put a damper on the day.
  14. i'd really like to be able to keep the tailgate up, that'd just make me uncomfortable with it down though i'm sure many people do it with that way. but i really dislike the extended beds but it seems all the trucks have 6.5 foot beds, which the R6's total length is 6.7 feet... i dont mind putting it on the diagonal but it would be nice to take two. Anyone know if those rear tail... grates? on the frontier are removable so a bike can slip in?
  15. I'm nearly finished paying off my bike, which means i can hopefully ditch the 97 jetta i've been driving and move on up to something newer and nicer. I've been looking more into a car, but I started thinking recently it would be nice to have a truck to haul the bike back to dayton when i go back to visit the family/friends/girlfriend every other weekend (got to take the dog with me, so can't ride the bike). That and to the eventual track days that will ensue. Anyway, I was looking at trucks last night but I'm not sure which ones will be able to fit a bike. Any one have suggestions?
  16. +1 for protection. sweated my balls off in standing traffic today in the leather.
  17. http://www.nbc4i.com/cmh/news/national/article/deputies_woman_steals_pickled_sausage_stuffs_it_in_pants/15925/ not as good as drunken cow lady... but still
  18. http://money.cnn.com/2009/05/20/news/economy/credit_cards/index.htm?postversion=2009052014 i didnt expect to see less restricting gun laws being passed anytime during the next 2-4 years. kinda surprised at that.
  19. always up for it. how far is coshocton from grove city?
  20. as far as gear, if i'm gonna shell out for stuff like that i'm not the type to look to get it on the cheap. i've already got my heart set on some A* SMX-Plus vented boots. the other bit is getting time off from work to do one, since they're basically all on week days.
  21. +1 to Ronnie. and it happens because companies anticipate gov't $ so they become dependent on it.
