  3. Anthony...I'm working on getting something together for you...should have something monday. andy
  4. As some of you know I lost my father a couple of weeks ago who was an avid shooter and member of the New Albany Shooting range. We're selling some of his collection to help my mother out financially. I'll admit I know very little about guns as it was something that I never really got into. All of the guns were evaluated by Bill Kroll of the New Albany Shooting range today (9/22) to establish fair values for the guns based on condition and their corresponding blue book values. Please feel free to call me with any quesitons 614-747-0002 Pictures now loaded please see posts below. Heritage 22 - origional box, papers, nearly new condition: $SOLD Smith & Wesson 637-2 - comes with 2 speed loaders and misc. hollow point ammunition, soft case (funny the old man wouldn't hurt a fly but kept a loaded hand gun with hollow points on the night stand...go figure?): $SOLD Glock 17 (9mm) - comes with tru-glow fiber optic sights ($110), CCR refinishing coated camo slide ($65), 3.5 lb trigger, 6 magazines (all 17 round mags), speed loader for the clips, belt clip holster, soft carrying case: $475 Walther P22 - CCR refinishing coated camo slide ($65), walther red dot scope ($70), soft case and origional hard case: $SOLD Marlin 22 Lever action Rifle 39A - with scope: $270 Marlin 7000 22 semi-automatic rifle - with scope $190 Yugoslavian SKS 7.62x39 Rifle - w/Granade sights and bayonette. Gun is still prepped for storage in cosmoline as it was stored and my father purchased it the day before he passed and never fired this piece: $SOLD Thanks for looking, Andy
  5. Neon's on my old ZX-7R. Angle Eyes on the 325...considering they're factory equipment on 5 series I never considered them rice, but never justified installing them on the M3. I've got a big-ass wing on the 996...but it's factory so I don't want to hear anything about it. Andy
  6. Her ring "taxi" videos in the M5 are floating around somewhere...I'll see if I can dig them up on the BMW boards today. Not as impressive as Hans...but entertaining none the less. Andy
  7. YES...becuase it doesn't help you carry any more corner speed...and makes power down at corner exit more difficult. Twins FTW if you're not going in a straight line. Other than my narrow minded view of things...No you probably won't be slow with that on a street car. p.s. My brohther was drooling over your car at Mid Ohio this weekend...he loves him some FD action. Andy
  8. Joe. The car is looking outstanding. I think I saw you on Polaris Pkwy. last weekend...def a head turner you've got there. Andy
  9. Derek FTW...Always a pleasure dealing with him and Mike downtown. Andy
  10. Not a problem...now I want a ride in the FD with the new coilovers!!! Andy
  11. Thanks to everyone for the kind words on my father. It's been a rough week but everyone is getting through it as best as we can. As for the price...it's a no nonsense price...there's little or no room in there for negotiation and yes it would be a loss for me on paper...but you do what you have to do to move things sometime. Heck maybe we'll get lucky and I won't have to sell it afterall...but at this point I can't sit around and wait for things to happen and hope that I can keep the car..I have to look after my mom and if it means moving on from my dream car then so be it. Andy

    Howdy

Carl: Nice to see some more european cars around the board...and nice car if I do say so. My brother's '95 M3 is a hoot to drive in N/A form around a track I can't imagine that beast. There's a Buckeye Chapter BMW CCA meet the end of october at Mid Ohio that's always good for cold air which would mean big numbers for you. I'll have my E46 M3 out for that weekend. There's also a private lapping day with Auto Assets on October 9 that you might want to look into. It's a bit pricy for a single day but will get you as much or more track time as a full weekend BMW CCA school will and instruction is going to be provided by the Mid Ohio school staff rather than club regulars. Let me know if you'd like any further details. Andy
  14. Mike...your grandfather will be in my thoughts and prayers. I unexpectedly lost my dad last Thursday and my wife's grandmother passed the very next day. Hopefully they've taken the bad Karma with them and you grandfather will make it for the wedding and beyond. Andy

  16. Did the trip to Chicago up and back same day last winter to pick up my brother's M3...that made for a long day and it happened to be one of the coldest days of the year. Got the 996 from a private seller in Seattle WA...but passed on the road trip and had the car shipped. Drove a car one way to Ft. Lauderdale to deliver it to my wife's mother...it flew back home though. my theory...if it's the right car...it's a story that you'll never forget. What's life without a little adventure anyhow. Make sure you don't try to drive straight through though as you'll be miserable. Andy
  17. No...we used to live over there and I'd take the car up there for a nice background to shoot from. We moved to the Polairs area about two years ago now....tells you how recent that photo is. Andy
  18. Timing belt maintenance is critical...and a PITA on the 1.8T cars. Early cars required it every 60K miles, later cars with the updated tensioner require it every 90K. the '98 would obviously fall into the 60K category. Other than that control arms and other suspension components should be checked. (I've been through a few tie-rod ends but that could be due to aftermarket suspension. Check Audiworld.com and Audizine.com for more specifics on what to look for...been awhile since I followed the Audi trends too closely. My '99 has 140K on the clock now and it's still ticking. Only thing I regret is the tiptronic transmission, but I bought the car to be a driver so it's acceptable. Been chipped since 70K miles and it's still on the origional turbo. my car: http://autopia.org/gallery/data/500/audisig1.jpg Andy
  19. Another nice example...still WAY too much money. I'd love to see someone make an *affordable* higher HP cayman as after being on-track in one they're a great car. With no F/I kits of any sort available yet the only option for getting decent power increases is going to the 3.8 997S motor which is stupid expensive. Andy
  20. Unfortunatly many of the things that we do to our cars are questionably legal and provide just cause for getting pulled over. It's just something that I've come to accept as part of the hobby and try not to get bent out of shape over it. I've been pulled over several times for violations that I really can't complain about....and (knock on wood) I've been very fortunat that I've only recieved tickets when I deserved them. Andy
  21. I've done everything from the full small block swap into my old S-10, to SBC heads and cam swaps (went through 4 cams before I found the best combo), timing belt replacement on the A4, to full suspension swaps on the S-10, A4, M3, and soon will again on the 996. Funny thing is I quit doing my own oil changes last year becuase I'm sick of cleaning up the mess....go figure Only other projects I havn't ever done myself are transmission and differential rebuilds. Andy
  22. TechArt has always been a little too Bling for my tastes but that's not bad none the less. Give me the Farnbacher Loles Cayman GTR anyday though....then again for that money just buy a GT3 and do it right the first time. http://farnbacherloles.com/st/projects.asp http://www.caymanclub.net/Gallery/Cayman_Images/Cayman_GTR/GTR_14.jpg
