  1. RIP. Her story is my worst nightmare. My wife's diagnosis earlier this year came at the same age as Speilman's did. The thought that she'd no longer be here with me in 10 years time crushes me...literally just made me cry at my desk Andy
  2. I'll need to look around then. I only got mine ~45 days ago and at that time the only jailbreak I could find for a 3.1 phone was if the phone was originally loaded with 3.0 to begin with. I lost interest and never got back around to looking more. Andy
  3. Was this raced in a karting series or Auro-X? If karting series, what class and was it competative? Andy
  4. Do they have a Jailbreak for phones that came preloaded with OS 3.1 yet? When I got mine a couple of months ago there was still no options? Haven't looked around since.
  5. Up for grabs are Two Toyo R888's r-compounds in 255/40/17. Tires are at the wear bars (2/32) and mainly used up but might still be worth mounting up for drag racing, drift, Burnouts, etc. They've probably got 1-2 more DE weekends in them if you wanted to mount them for road racing use. $75 for the pair. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/283.jpg Andy
  6. I have two Toyo R888 r-compounds that I used on the rear of the Porsche for Drivers ed. events. They have 16 total heat cycles on them, 3 of those heat cycles were in he rain. They have ~3-4/32 of tread remaining (6/32 is full depth). They'd work well for a sticky street tire without sidewall flex of a drag radial. Retail is >$550 for the pair new. I'd like $225 out of them. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/269.jpg Andy
  7. No winter plans for any of them other than put snow tires on the E55 which will likely never see snow anynow.
  8. looking good. Is there no motor currently in the car?
  9. My wife had one not too long ago and spent 4 days in the hospital as a result. Although most of that was due to no immune system from her chemo treatments. See a Dr. immediatly and get treatment for it before it gets any worse.

    pondering

AJ, Can't say I haven't been down that road of thought myself...esp with the Porsche gone now. My biggest concern is how much I'd really use a dedicated track car and if I'd feel let down that I dumped all of my extra money into something that I ended up using maybe 5-6 times a year. The fact that the majority of my detailing income happens on the weekends too when I'd otherwise be racing is a bit of a conflict. You're the only one that can really answer if you can justify it or not. From what little I've see of you behind the wheel I think you'd do very well, be competative and have fun if you decided to go that route. Have you thought about Nasa Time Trial competition with your current car as maybe a bridge into wheel to wheel racing? For me Time trials is something that I'm probably more likely to do in place of actual racing becase the level of prep can be soo much lower due to the rules structure and you can compete in a car that's driven to and from the track (maybe not recommended but possible). Andy
  11. get the cls55 instead and thank me later
  12. Mercedes is notorious for having some of the worst depreciation in the industry. Buy New = Fail Buy Used = Win When we bought our '04 E55 earlier this year it only had 30K miles on it and we purchased it for 1/3 of the original sticker. Andy
  13. Dig the Z... saw it on Stanceworks not too long ago. Andy
  14. Welcome, nice car and great color Get e-codes not Depo's...and PLEASE get a drop on that thing. Andy
  15. 996 is Sold Thanks to everyone for reaching out and helping spread the word on the car. I'm sure gonna miss her.
  16. What size wheels on the G35? I ran 18" Dunlop Wintersport M3's on the M3 the one winter we actually used it in inclimate conditions (OK...we really only drove it a couple times in the snow but that still counts). I liked them well enough. The same tires will be going on the E55 for this winter. If the car has 18's there's options available to still use the stock wheels if you don't want to drop the coin for a second set of wheels. The second set sure makes life much easier when it comes to swapping to the summer setup though. Andy
  17. I raised the front another 5mm today. I was looking at it and it just had too much rake once it was sitting up where it's at now.
  18. It's still as low as that GT3 RS that's pictured. It was nearly at porsche cup car height previously. Getting it on the alignment rack was not fun.
  19. The background on this story...guy with a F430 tracks with a bunch of friends in various other makes that continually make fun of his Ferrari's "automatic" (F1 flappy paddles) transmission. This video is his response: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jsvknc4HzGc&feature=player_embedded Andy
  20. 'Cause pimpin ain't easy. ...actually he has coats / sweaters to go out in the cold due to lack of undercoat. The other crap is all on my wife.
  21. Sexy. Orange will never happen, neither will an RS. I'd post pictures of what I'm getting in the immediat future..but Medical bills aren't exciting to look at p.s. I raised the 996 20mm for it's final alignment. It's depressing to even look at now.
  22. Biggie Smalls ...at just over a year: http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture272.jpg current @ nearly 3 years old http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture110-1.jpg
  23. I decided to just put the H&R sport springs back on the car with the stock shocks. I actually tracked it that way with good results when I first got it and it still has a nice stance that's lower than stock. The coilovers I had on the car were pretty extreme with > 900lb springs in the rear. Here's a picture of how it sits on the H&R springs http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture091.jpg
