Put a Beretta, an M3, and a Corvette Together...
AudiOn19s replied to SicShelby's topic in Pics and Vids
You guys don't like it? I was planning on picking one of those up when the Porsche sells. -
back on topic: I still think the truck is the answer. This one would work too. Could use a bit more drop though. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/Jus_dubin/1389452471_1867e26f96_b.jpg

Rates won't change unless you split off of her policy onto your own. They're determined right now by who's assigned to what car...not name on the title.

I think some of the fear is the stigma of expensive parts to maintain. Every car over 70K is going to start nickle-and-diming you. Yes, parts for european cars are more expensive but not by a great margin. I think because of the higher parts costs people are less prone to keep up on regular maintance thus causing their own issues along the way. I also think German makers shoot themselves in the foot by suggesting extended oil change intervals in order to minimize costs of covering all maintenance items while the car is under warranty. This leads the average consumer into thinking they can use 15K mile oil change intervals for the life of the car. My A4 has nearly 180K miles on it now. I can count on one hand the number of times it's cost me more than $100 to fix anything on that car including it's major timing belt maintenance service. Andy

You've already admitted the Truck makes the most sense. And you want something you can slam and put big wheels on (thank goodness you have taste). Sooo...Get a F350, bag it and throw 24's on it. http://i38.tinypic.com/xd5qvo.jpg

We've discussed it a few times. I've had enough traffic on the car in the short time it's been advertised that it's not necessary yet. If it sits for a few weeks with no buyers I may put it up there.

Your PM box is full. Best availability is probably late afternoon on Sat or Sunday right now. Give me a call and we can discuss: 614-747-0002 Andy

Russ Popp (State Farm) 614-471-5557 Based on the types of toys you have I have a hunch that they'll be very competative. I switched to them back in the day because they were able to cover my bike cheaper than anyone else around by a good margin. I've had no reasons to leave as they've always been great and rates have been more than competative for us. Andy

ha...old news but good news!

Thanks man. 996 values are all over the map. Base, high mileage cars are as cheap as $18-20K, But there's two similar cars to mine on the market as high as $30-32 Priced mine to get attention and move quickly. My first buyer was only 3 days after posting it and sadly cost me two other potential buyers in the process of backing out. She'll find a good home quickly though. andy

Thought I had this sold last week only for the buyer to flake and the other two parties that were hot on the car had already purchased other cars. It's with a sad heart I'm listing my baby for sale. I never thought this day would come. I fully intended to own this car for the next 30+ years however my wife's battle with breast cancer has changed perspective on things. The car: '99 996 Factory Aero (exclusive option XAA) Just turned 51K miles Guards Red Black FULL LEATHER interior w/ creasts in headrests M030 sport suspension Sport Design wheels (optional 8" front vs. standard 7.5' front) Factory limited slip ('99 or '04 cars only) CR-210 + 6 disk changer 3- spoke wheel Litronics small carbon package (shifter and e-brake) Stainless door sills Modifications: H&R sport springs GHL Headers and Exhaust system B&M shifter GT3 console delete Bumper plugs in front Painted rear bumperettes OEM Non-smoker kit All maintenance is done and up to date. I've exclusively run Redline 5W-40 engine oil (has about 200 miles as it sits now) Motul 600 brake fluid Clean carfax As some of you know I'm a professional detailer. I guarantee the presentation of this car is top notch. This car has the factory origional RMS still in place and dry as a bone. In the interest of full disclosure: -Car has a small rock chip in the front windsheild that has been repaired -Small oil leak from the valve covers. (A drip here or there on the garage floor) -Front end was repainted by a previous owner for rock chips. There are some new rock chips present but nothing horrible. Paint work was first rate -Small scrapes on the underside of the front bumper from a Previous owner. They have been touched up and are not obvious -There are two small dings on the passengers side of the car. One would be a perfect candidate for PDR. -Typical wear on seat bolsters Price: $24,000 I can be reached here via PM or @ 614-747-0002 and more pictures can be provided upon request. -Andy Additional pictures here: http://s136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Misc%20996%20pictures/ http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture127.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture134.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture176.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/CRRollingPictures170copy.jpg

only C-Class. One of the things I dislike about the brand. Despite the fact that the automatic is a perfect fit in my grandpa-mobile I hate it...but I've grown to realize it belongs in there. Rodd, Welcome. Get some pictures up! Andy

if you read the fine print that's how all the 0% offers work. You always pay off the lowest interest rate first if there are multiple rates in effect on a card. You'll get charged interest on that $150 until every last cent is paid off.

awwweee...that's fucked up!

Derek, Sorry to see the car go. It was one of my favorite mustangs ever. It's never easy letting go of something you have such a passion for. As you know I"m about to go through the same so I can feel your pain. Bigger and better things to come down the road. Get another one 10 years down the road and start a father / child build of one to bring back the memories! Andy

First...I agree with alot of what chris said although my personal preference between a 3 series and an A4 as a daily would be a 325 if I had to do it all over again. Go figure I daily an A4 though. My personal experience is that the 325 would require less maintenance. We had an '02 325ci for a few years and it was an outstanding car. Really the biggest maintenance conern at that car's age is suspension bushings. If they haven't been done then expect to need to do them. They're not difficult or expensive to do though. More labor than parts costs. Car has a timing chain and motors are relatively maintenance free. The only real thing to watch out for was BMW's 15K mile suggested oil change interval. They did this because they cover all service under the warranty period for the car and it saves them in maintenance costs. If someone believed that crap and didn't do changes inbetween there have been known sludge issues and camshaft problems. If it's got documented service history for oil changes and other fluids I say go for it. That motor has been around in their line-up since '88 and there are LOTS of examples of it still running strong with >200k miles on them. They're not the quickest car in the world but you'd never know they are only rated at 187hp when driving one. Great torque and still reasonable performance (for a daily) to boot. if it ain't rubbin....wait, you sold that car. Well done sir. Get some wheels tires under it already. Andy

I've got the Renntech pulley and tune on mine. Been thinking about going a bit more crazy with it though. Those are healthy numbers for a pulley only (and smal one at that) car. Looking forward to watching this thread progress. Andy

ha...I just read your thread. WTF...posting dirty pictures of my car!!!!!!!

I'd like to thank Rob for taking good care of me. I had a bad wheel bearing in the Audi that desperatly needed replaced. I had been putting it off for a few weeks thinking I was going to do the majority of the work myslef but I simply ran out of time. My unique situation with the car is that I cannot afford any downtime with it. Every moment it's not on the road I'm giving money away that could otherwise be made. I was desperate to find someone to do the work quickly and Rob got me in and out same day. I dropped it off on my lunch break and it was finished a few hours later when I was finished with work. Thanks man. Andy

I tried to give that board a couple of chances but it never really did anything for me.

As has already been stated. Try clay first. Then a cleaner wax / polish. Meguiars ColorX or Step1 of their 3 step will work well.

Should be a blast. Only place SMG is worth a damn is the track so that should make it even better. Watch out for the deer at Summit! They're pretty notorious for running right out on the track during events.
