  1. It's plush. The seat...I mean saddle is comfortable. Fit and finish is very nice. The hard cases are way nicer than the ones one my VFR. It handles good, but not great. It'll take corners at 7/10ths pace. It's about as fast as an SV650 but with more torque.
  2. For the record, I am OK with legal immigration so long as it's not from countries where a significant portion of the population would like to see us blown up. I believe we'll see a more restrictive immigration policy in our lifetimes, similar to much of the rest of the world.
  3. Big deal Jim. Every country was built on immigration if you look back far enough. But not every choose to keep an open immigration policy for good reason.
  4. You described several situations without quantifying anything. Also, you're not really making an argument for immigration...you're more accurately making an argument for "more people (regardless of origin)" are better for the economy. I do not believe this is the case overall. There are very few industries where jobs cannot be filled due to lack of applicants or lack of skills that can only be found outside our borders.. Conversely, there are plenty of examples in the US and worldwide where population density (more people) does not equate to economic prosperity. In fact the opposite is true in many cases. If immigration was an automatic economic boost, then why aren't the leaders of countries worldwide doing everything they can to lure immigrants to relocate into their country??!!??!
  5. Nope. Just not riding it much right now.
  6. I have been dealing with some nerve issues in my wrists and hands. It's really limited my riding this season. I haven't been able to ride the CBR this season. Maybe no more sport bikes in my future. So it's been sold to another forum member. I have been considering all kinds of bikes that would put less pressure on my hands & wrists. I've been looking at adventure bikes, nakeds, scooters, even cruisers in a moment of darkness. I wound up with a 2000 BMW R1100R. It has FI and ABS. It needs some basic maintenance but its exceptionally clean. I've kind of always wanted a BMW boxer & always liked this model and especially this paint scheme. I haven't decided if I'll be keeping it long term or not, but it'll keep me on 2 wheels for now.
  7. Answering a question with a question would seem to indicate uncertainty in your position. Plenty of existing citizens start businesses. But to answer your question: Honestly, it depends on the business. 80% of new businesses fail within the first year. So, no...80% of them are not good for the economy.
  8. Jim are you saying that immigrants have a more positive impact on the economy that an existing citizen? On average?
  9. Why do immigrant owned convenient stores change hands to a new owner (that just happens to be a relative) every few years?
  10. What % of immigrants would you estimate to business owners? Many immigrant small business owners send every cent of profit back to their home land. Others get every form of credit possible, max them out and then leave the US without paying their debt. This is a known issue with a particular type of business.
  11. Personally, I think the MAIN reason that Democrat politicians support giving citizenship to illegals is this: Illegals are statically likely to be low income, at least initially. And low income voters are more likely to vote Democratic.
  12. I'm not sure I believe this. I've heard both sides of this argument. It's like gun control/rights. Each side cherry pick statistics that support their argument.
  13. ^^ I would try that but it isnt leaking anymore.
  14. The yellow corner signs do not say "Speed Limit" anywhere on them.
  15. What is the history on the salvage title? It's already been inspected by the OSHP, correct? ...oh and bump.
  16. Habaneros. In college after I cut some my gf was getting kinda horny. Long story short...she spent a few hours sitting in the bathtub. She didn't want me to tell anyone. I told everyone.
  17. Not pepper spray, but in the Marines we had to qualify in the gas chamber every year.
  18. Casually set a bottle of Jagermeister on the ground then walk away. Chaos will ensue.
  19. ^^ When in doubt check the neck.
  20. That's my guess, but I've never had it happen before.
  21. After 3 days of sitting I noticed the front tire on my VFR was completely flat. I refilled it and spent about 15 minutes with a flashlight looking for a puncture. No pinholes, no marks, nothing. That was about a week ago. Since I refilled the tire it hasn't lost a single psi. I even rode it about 40 miles to see if that would cause it to lose pressure. What would cause that? I'm thinking there could have been some crud in the valve stem that kept it from completely sealing. I check pressure before pretty much every ride, so I'd know if there was a slow leak over time. There wasn't.
