  1. I couldn't ride a wheelie like that. Here's a classic:
  2. I knew I would own a VFR1200 5 minutes into my test ride. It's the kind of bike you have to ride to appreciate. In this case, the specs and marketing didn't tell the story. Build quality and refinement are higher than any other bike I've owned (there have been many). It corners better than you can imagine for a 600 lb motorcycle. A V4 that puts down 145 hp and 82 ft/lbs at the real wheel is quite entertaining
  3. I never thought VTEC was a good idea for a motorcycle. Honda toned the effect down on the Gen 8, kinda surprised that they even kept it at all. The VFR1200 doesn't have VTEC.
  4. I don't want to pay tax on tea.
  5. It's all yours. It's actually a pretty nice helmet.
  6. Free Scorpion EXO-400 Size M. Good used shape. Never crashed. A little dusty from sitting. Pickup in N Ridgeville. This helmet, but it's black/gray/white.

    Windows 10

Is the free upgrade really free? I currently have Win7 Ultimate. Win8 did not interest me.
  8. http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/oped/erik-buell-racing-receivership-explained/ Should a buyer not arise, the receiver will begin selling EBR assets. This means liquidating any bikes that remain, selling whatever real property the company owns, and beginning to look for buyers to Buell’s IP — for all the talk of how innovative Erik Buell is (a premise I reject, outright), this would be the ultimate quantification of that genius. The IP is perhaps the hardest part of EBR to sell, as the list of potential buyers are limited in number, and as one astute observer once wrote, “[buell] wasted all his energy developing alternative solutions to mundane technical problems that yielded no appreciable benefit in performance over traditional bike systems.” How much is the ZTL braking system worth? The free market is about to decide. For all the engineering effort that went into the ZTL brakes and the fuel in frame, they have yet to prove they are any better than more conventional approaches. Moto2 would have been a far better choice than WSBK if EB really wanted to prove his designs had an advantage on the racetrack. In Moto2, everyone uses the same engine and ECM, no mods allowed. If EB chassis and brakes had any real advantage this is an apples-to-apples way to prove it. In WSBK and AMA Superbike the EBR machines were so far down on power that is tough to draw the same conclusions.
  9. EB is an accomplished engineer, but I don't think he is a wise businessman. Ducati would also be out of business if they only sold Panigale's. I don't think EBR could stand on their own even if they had a commercially viable beginner bike, middleweight, scooter, etc. The brand name is damn near toxic at this point. He needs a partner with deep pockets and an established dealer network. Polaris seems like an ideal fit, but I seriously doubt they will purchase the rights to the EBR motorcycles. I think "someone" will buy EBR and attempt to make them successful. And, I think they will fail. The way to make a "small" fortune by investing in EB would be to start out with a "large" fortune. I hope I am wrong. I would love to see a successful American motorcycle that isn't of the chrome and leather variety.
  10. EBR worked on multiple Engineering projects for Hero. Some completed, some still in process. There have been multiple reports that Hero bought the intellectual property associated with that engineering work. I don't believe that Hero bought or will buy any part of the business related to EBR motorcycles.
  11. What was your impression of the XR1200? Was the cornering capability anywhere near that of a sport naked?
  12. For an upright riding position, I would take a look at the new Scorpion GT3000 modular.
  13. Same here. It's not what I want or need, but the price is right. I've bought in this situation before because there's really no risk. Buy it & see if you like it. If not, you can always resell in the spring for what you paid or even make a few $$.
  14. Seems like this is the kind of thing that earns a nickname
  15. Wouldn't it just be a check box setting that is either enabled or disabled based on your user profile (supporter/non-supporter).
  16. Is the intent to "inconvenience" you into becoming a supporter?
  17. Some "insiders" on the Buell boards are claiming this story is false. Whoever the buyer is, they will have a tough road getting dealers and riders to trust the brand again.
  18. The used bike market is really soft right now. The best time to sell is right before tax returns are sent.
  19. There is a VERY select group of people that I would let ride either of my bikes. They are very skilled riders. If there ever was a mishap they would make it right before I ever had to ask.
  20. $7k. It's setup nicely for long sport rides and you won't find a cleaner CBR.
