  1. Do Cleveland Police use dash cams?
  2. I think there is a bit more to it than that. They were also told (on the police recording) that is was not a gun, it was a 'red pop can' by an officer that was close enough to see inside the car. The officers were also told to break off the chase before the shooting occured. For the record, I hope they DO find GSR evidence. If not this will get really ugly. There was already a protest in Cleveland http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2012/12/cleveland_rally_in_wake_of_pol.html#incart_maj-story-2
  3. I foresee a large civil case against Cleveland Police if no GSR evidence is found.
  4. Trained police officers should be able to tell a gunshot from a car backfiring (which is what the family of the driver is suggesting). If you are shooting to kill, you better be f*&king positive. Let's assume they had a gun and ditched it somewhere in the chase... That means when the police fired 137 shots, the 2 people in the car were unarmed. Do Cleveland Police have dashcams?
  5. The entire reason that the chase began was because police said they were being fired at. No gun or shell casing were found in the car. They are running forensic tests to see if either of the 2 in the car had recently fired a gun. We'll see what they find.
  6. Some crimes justify the death penelty...running form police is not one of them. I don't have an issue with officers returning fire if they were actually fired on. However, no weapons or shell casings were found in the car. I'm sure more information will become available.
  7. Sure. But if you are stupid and run, the Police don't have the right to kill you. 13 officers fired 137 rounds into a car killing the 2 occupants, who were unarmed. Police claimed they were being fired at, but no weapons were found. Family of the deceased said the car made backfiring sounds. How about something like "Cleveland Police...Get Out of the Car" before unloading into the vehicle? Now police are searching the chase route to look for a gun. If a gun is found, they may be able to justify some of their actions. Hmmm...I bet they find a gun or 2: http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=99963
  8. You just have to know how to press the right button.
  9. Here's one... How about smooth body transiton from a quick left to right...or right to left turn.
  10. If you can touch 'em, they're real.
  11. Yamaha Royal Star was a v4. Aprilia also makes 2 bikes powered by a 1000cc v4.
  12. We had traditional things, but a giant London Broil (marinated a prepared correctly) was a big hit. Oh...and apple pie moonshine.
  13. If the UAW got significant traction in the South...I'd bet a dollar that foreign auto makers would look elsewhere to build. Including outside the US alltogether. What benefits does the UAW provide over non-union labor to the company or the consumer? Little if any. The UAW is a self serving group that is even willing to screw it's younger members to benefit the old timers.
  14. Yep. The UAW has not had much luck with any 'foreign' automaker plants in the US. Unions also tend to prevent new businesses from building new facilities in heavily unionized areas. http://www.newgeography.com/content/00107-the-south-rises-again-in-automobile-manufacturing Lots of foreign auto plants are located in the Southern US, specifically to avoid the union mentality in more traditional automotive areas like Ohio and Michigan. Good work UAW

  16. Free. Do a Google search. The sigma trigger is supposed to feel like a da revolver. there is a redundant trigger spring that can be removed. it's only purpose is to increase trigger pull. it can be removed without affecting reliability. OTOH, the stock sigma trigger isn't ideal for target shooting but makes sense for a self defense situation where adrenaline is involved.
  17. There is some truth to that. But, the 'hayday' of the union has definitely come and gone. I would say that in many (not all) industries, unions have outlived thier usefullness.
  18. Were their rates really cut that much or did they just stop getting overtime? 2 different things. Most people couldn't swallow a 30% pay cut. You shouldn't count on OT in the first place.
  19. There are plenty of good reasons to get a new bike, like..."I wanna new bike." 600s are super fast. 1000s are super duper fast. Both are fun and both can get you into trouble if you lack the self control.
  20. I have not ridden a modern GW, but based on the type of riders that ride them and the number of miles tridden, I suspect there is something to them. I've heard lots of good stuff about the motors.
