  1. Ummm...If he was asking $7k, I would still prefer a stock ZX10.
  2. Silva is an ass. The ref should have deducted points or declared a No Contest for refusing to fight in the 4th & 5th rounds.
  3. With a HD of that era you could have a variety of issues. A tuneup is a good start. Then maybe check the seals on the air intake and the exhaust. If that doesn't do the trick, I would say it's time to pull the heads and check the valve seals.
  4. I.P. When are you getting the Conti Road Attack II?
  5. wow If I had those I'd have to kick my own ass.
  6. Modern Sport Touring tires are plenty grippy at street operating temps. Good handling, but not intended for track days. Plenty of good choices out there Single Compound Mich Pilot Roads Pirelli Angel Conti Road Attacks Dual Compound Dunlop Roadsmarts Mich Pilot Roads 2 Dual compound will give more grip in the corners and are a bit more spendy.
  7. Sounds like you are looking for a Sport Touring tire. The original Mich Pilot Road (not the 2) is long lasting and has decent handling. It's a good tire but not the grippiest for 'aggressive' cornering, but that doesn't seem to be what you want anyway.
  8. They made the VFR 500 from 84-86. http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~john/vfr/specs/84-86-vf500f.html
  9. We should give IP a break, think how ornery you would be if you didn't have a bike
  10. Maybe I could run if I had one of them fast jap bikes. Along those lines, if a cop pulls over one bike, I think the rest should keep going. Unless the cop specifically pulls you over, keep going. I am not saying to run, but everyone getting a ticket isn't gonna help the first guy.
  11. In somewhere around 50,000 miles of group riding. I've gotten 2 tickets. Both were on hwys getting from/to the fun backroads at a 'just keeping up with traffic' pace.
  12. So, it looks like 68 in a 55 in Wooster costs $96. If you thought Wooster ws backwards, prepare to be proven wrong In Wooster: --Killing a Carrier Pigeon carries a fine $25 --Servicing a Mare on Public Street carries a fine of $25. It didn't specify who was doing the servicing, so to play it safe I would recommend no horse-fucking of any kind on public streets. Whatever you do on your property is your business. Interestingly, sheep servicing seems to be unregulated.
  13. Yep, Rob keeps that bike clean. My Helmet and fairing still have bugs from last season.
  14. Revenues are down in Wooster, so we were all selected to pay the random driving tax. http://www.ridelust.com/michigan-police-chiefs-admit-speeding-tickets-are-about-money/
  15. The weather was just about perfect. 4 of us left the Circle K at 9 and we picked up 2 more in Millersburg. Tod led on the ride down South, and I led for most of the ride back North. We switched the sweep position on some of the more technical roads. From what I saw, everyone was riding within their limits and I didn't see any oh shit moments, even though we were cornering at a pretty good pace for awhile. Just about aperfect day of riding until...On 83 North just south of Wooster, UP, JRMMiii, Rob, & I got caugt in some airplane speed trap along with a bunch of cars. It was a shitty way to end a really good ride. The kicker is we were taking it really easy on that stretch of 83. Shit happens. I forgot to set the trip odo, but I would guess I covered 350-400 miles for the day. btw, this was the first ride where I felt really comfortable on the 1125. That is a damn fine handling machine!
  16. Buelldel decided he'd rather work than ride. I was the token Buell rider for today.
  17. We have a chance of record high temps tomorrow. What a great day to take off work and ride.
  18. On another forum, I read that a HD Sportster was the fastest production bike for a time in the late 50's. I am having a hard time believing that.
  19. Are there still any closed roads by 82/83?
  20. I've had a '94 & a '99 Magna. It's definitly one of the most fun cruisers to ride. Love the V4.
  21. Cool. I took Friday off. Barring a client disaster on Thursday, I'm good to go.
