  1. HD's most profitable product line is made outside the US. Why even bother with bikes anymore?
  2. That woulld be true if you were trying to act like you were on the Browns...ya know, like dropping a football over and over.
  3. That HD philosophy is pretty much my definition of a poser. Poser 1. A person who attempts to blend into a specific social group. 2. One who attempts to appear to others as something they are not, especially by their manner of dress; a charlatan. I've ridden horses a handful of times...never once did I feel it was necessary to dress like a cowboy.
  4. YES! It took balls for CW to publish that and risk losing HD's ad $$$
  5. btw, take a look at the tags for a HD thread... harley, lol, manual, poser ...seems about right.
  6. Jesus and Buell were both crucified by the ignorant.
  7. The North Olmsted league is NSA which allows most 'hot' bats, but they used soft core balls so it really cancels the advantage
  8. If you have no technology to market, then cater to the poser aspect of motorcycling. BMW (car) sales do the same thing, market to how people will look at you. But they have technology too.
  9. Ohio Sportspark opened last year (the new SBW). The fields were decent, but nothing else was ready, parking lot, scoreboards, clubhouse, etc.
  10. Ummm...If he was asking $7k, I would still prefer a stock ZX10.
  11. Silva is an ass. The ref should have deducted points or declared a No Contest for refusing to fight in the 4th & 5th rounds.
  12. With a HD of that era you could have a variety of issues. A tuneup is a good start. Then maybe check the seals on the air intake and the exhaust. If that doesn't do the trick, I would say it's time to pull the heads and check the valve seals.
  13. I.P. When are you getting the Conti Road Attack II?
  14. wow If I had those I'd have to kick my own ass.
  15. Modern Sport Touring tires are plenty grippy at street operating temps. Good handling, but not intended for track days. Plenty of good choices out there Single Compound Mich Pilot Roads Pirelli Angel Conti Road Attacks Dual Compound Dunlop Roadsmarts Mich Pilot Roads 2 Dual compound will give more grip in the corners and are a bit more spendy.
  16. Sounds like you are looking for a Sport Touring tire. The original Mich Pilot Road (not the 2) is long lasting and has decent handling. It's a good tire but not the grippiest for 'aggressive' cornering, but that doesn't seem to be what you want anyway.
  17. They made the VFR 500 from 84-86. http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~john/vfr/specs/84-86-vf500f.html
  18. We should give IP a break, think how ornery you would be if you didn't have a bike
  19. Maybe I could run if I had one of them fast jap bikes. Along those lines, if a cop pulls over one bike, I think the rest should keep going. Unless the cop specifically pulls you over, keep going. I am not saying to run, but everyone getting a ticket isn't gonna help the first guy.
  20. In somewhere around 50,000 miles of group riding. I've gotten 2 tickets. Both were on hwys getting from/to the fun backroads at a 'just keeping up with traffic' pace.
  21. So, it looks like 68 in a 55 in Wooster costs $96. If you thought Wooster ws backwards, prepare to be proven wrong In Wooster: --Killing a Carrier Pigeon carries a fine $25 --Servicing a Mare on Public Street carries a fine of $25. It didn't specify who was doing the servicing, so to play it safe I would recommend no horse-fucking of any kind on public streets. Whatever you do on your property is your business. Interestingly, sheep servicing seems to be unregulated.
  22. Yep, Rob keeps that bike clean. My Helmet and fairing still have bugs from last season.
  23. Revenues are down in Wooster, so we were all selected to pay the random driving tax. http://www.ridelust.com/michigan-police-chiefs-admit-speeding-tickets-are-about-money/
