  1. Well, if you've ridden together before you already know. If not...talk...ask about a rider's level of experience. If you get an answer like "what's counter steering?," then you know they're should be near the rear. This should make for a reasonable starting point if not, "Passing should only take place to correct the riding order. And really you shouldn't have to pass, if you are holding up the rider behind you wave him by."
  2. The Angel wil probably be my next tire. The Conti Road Attack 2 also looks promising, but I haven't seen a review yet.
  3. The rules that apply to a cruiser parade or riding through town are not the same rules that apply to cornering on 536 at a 'sporting' pace.
  4. Faster more experienced riders to the front. Newbs to the rear. Passing should only take place to correct the riding order. And really you shouldn't have to pass, if you are holding up the rider behind you wave him by. Stop to count bikes before turning onto a new road or at a major junction. If the group contains really new riders, or someone who has never ridden a particular road before, then put an experienced rider in the sweeper position. Rinse. Repeat. A new rider is more likely to push to if he knows he is holding up a veteran, rather than falling behind if it's explained that we stop at count bikes at every turn. Seriously, if you are going to ride over your head to try to keep up with one of the fast guys, you should think really hard about whether or not you belong on a group ride. Not only should you be comfortable withthe group, but the group should be comfortable with YOU. I have left group rides to ride solo, when I can feel the inevitable crash coming, despite a rider being asked to ride within his limits.
  5. 2. Less experienced riders need to be in the front or else they always try and play keep up and end up crashing, or rear ending people in front of them. (Get this through your phucking heads people. Im sick of everyone always putting the less experienced people in the back on the group rides.) Not only is that bad advice but it will ensure no one has any fun. This will NOT be the case on any ride I attend.
  6. Good Friday was way better than Good Friday 2. Puff puff, give. Puff puff, give. You fuckin' up the rotation.
  7. Bump. Anyone? $150 for a $350 leather rideing jacket. It'll go on ebay next week.
  8. Is that faster than the ZX14 or the Busa, or does it not have the Japanese limiter of 186 mph?
  9. Hawkman, hell yes...that's how I ride.
  10. What bikes have held the title as "World's Fastest Production Motorcycle?" I can remeber a few, but I am missing a bunch of them. Anyone know any others? 1917 Henderson In-line Four Model G 1948 Vincent Black Shadow 1969 Honda CB750 1970 Kawasaki H1 1976 Kawasaki KZ1000 1979 Honda CBX 1980 Suzuki GS1100 1983 Kawasaki GPz750 Turbo 1985 Honda V65 Magna 1990 Kawasaki ZX-11 1996 Honda CBR1100xx Blackbird 1999 Suzuki Hayabusa 2006 Kawasaki ZX-14

    Interested in working out a trade for a Taurus 94? It's a 9 shot, 5" .22LR revolver, blued, LNIB. http://www.taurususa.com/product-details.cfm?id=385&category=Revolver&toggle=&breadcrumbseries

    Buell parts?

Supertrapp doesn't make anything for the XB's or 1125. Just for the tubers and the Blast.
  14. It is Blued, in like new condition. I would rather trade than sell outright.

More than you ever wanted to know about XB exhausts: http://www.americansportbike.com/XB_Exhaust_Shootout_Test_Report.zip Anything other than stock on an XB, I highly recommend a Race ECM or a custom tune (a Power Commander isn't going to cut it). Personally, I would go with either a Spec Ops or a Drummer. They retune your stock exhaust.
  16. Taurus 94 .22 LR 5", 9 shot, adjustable sights. LNIB. Less than 100 rounds fired. You can see some fingerprints in the photos, but there are no scratches or wear. Would be an accruate range piece that is cheap to shoot. Will trade for another handgun (sorry no long guns). Cash either way depending on value.
  17. I still haven't gotten on a track. I know if I do it's going top cost me a ton of $$ for a race bike, suspension, tires, trailer, etc, etc.
  18. On CORE rides, we take the riding part seriously, as in we're not into squidly shit or racing helicopters...the rest is up to you.
  19. It's good that you can win an olympic medal in a sport that requires no athletic ability whatsoever.
