  1. I own a Car Wash. Everytime it snows, I make money. Bring it on
  2. http://insidetv.aol.com/2010/02/08/american-chopper-canceled/ Does this mean the ghey chopper fad is officially over?
  3. All you need is a fist full of amphetamines, a big bore rice rocket...and it's war baby, War of the Superbikes! http://cid-a72fd56056e6ddd9.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/07-War%20Of%20The%20Superbikes.mp3
  4. If you needed another reason to hate Harley. This information was widely speculated, but not made public until recently, much to the dismay of Harley. HD had a chance in increase their bottom line for the year and save American jobs in the process... I would love to see the business case for the shuttering of Buell. The financial benefits from a tax write off are no where near the benefits that would have resulted from selling the Buell division. With that sort of financial ahem 'expertise' it's no surprise HD stock is below $23/share, down from $70.
  5. It was definitely the same bike, and more than likely the same guy. He posted the same info on here that was on Badweb. I don't think that bike actually sold on Badweb. I saw it on Craigslist a few times after that thread on Badweb ended.
  6. I like Buell alot (obviously). I've just seen that bike listed before...and I'm realistic about resale prices.
  7. Really? Then how came that same bike was for sale about 6 months ago by a guy in Norwalk who NEEDED to sell it? He posted on Badweb, and some folks who he had ripped off in the past had some not no nice things to say. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/498110.html http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/474678.html?1248988984 If you turned down close to $5k, then you are dumb.
  8. Wow, sort of a dick. So you don't agree with KBB, you don't agree with everyone in this thread, and you don't agree with everyone on your similiar thread on Badweb. And it's worth noting that no one is offering anything near your asking price. Hmm, maybe the problem is you. If you're not going to part with it for less than $3,900, you might want to plan on hanging on to it for a few years. ALSO, DON'T START AN OPINION POLL IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR OPINIONS.
  9. I've owned 3 Buells and know a little about them. Buells of that era will probably have collectors value someday, but not yet. There weren't that many to begin with, and lots were parted for a some awful chop project. The problem with pre-XB Buells is that 'out of the box' they had issues that needed to be worked out over the first 5-6 throusand miles. Buell stood behind them and fixed them under warranty, but since the warranty is long gone it could get expensive to maintain. The other issue is even before Buell was closed, parts for the older tube frame bikes weren't always available. Now with Buell closed parts availability is more of an issue. In a few years, that S3 will be worth more than it is today. And would probably be worth more to a collector than as a dialy rider.
  10. An all metal 45 would be like carrying a brick. For a CCW 45, the only options I would consider would be Glock 30 or the Kahr PM45. That being said there are some better CCW pieces in other calibers.
  11. Yes. If you ride extended miles they are worth it. If you order directly from Corbin, they will customize it for free.
  12. I know the ZX6E had an issue with 2nd gear. Lot's of dealer hours to split the cases by the book.

    Walther P22

I'm at least going to shoot it once before I get rid of it, prolly next weekend. After that, I'd be more interested in a handgun trade than an outright sale.

    Walther P22

I didn't expect so much interest. Rather than sell, does anyone have an interesting handgun for trade? Something in 9mm or .380?
  15. Buell sold 98% to HD and retained 2%. It's been suggested that the 2% includes patents and other IP. The motorcycle market is shit now anyway, so a 3 year non-compete might not be all bad. He has 3 years to continue R&D for 'race only' bikes. Hopefully, http://www.erikbuellracing.com/ makes enough to pay the bills. I wouldn't be surprised if he is involved with a new American Sportbike by 2013 or 2014. Personally, I would love to see Erik develop an American Sport Tourer and pull some sales from those HD touring-glide-models. btw, HOG stock was over $70, now under $23 and projected to go even lower. Well done FAGS!

    Walther P22

I might wind up selling it, but I'm at least going to take it the range once.

    Walther P22

The OEM mags have issues? I already have a S&W 22S Target that's set up with a Pro-Point and some other goodies. I didn't really need another plinker, I just kind of wound up with this Walther. I'm trying to decide if I should keep it.

Do you happen to know if yours is a 1st or 2nd gen?

    Walther P22

***Sold*** I bought it from a friend that needed to get rid of it. It's a P22 Target, 5" with a Special Edition Carbon Fiber frame. I also know it's a 2nd generation P22. Anyone have any experience with them?
  20. Some Buell insiders post on Badweb. It had been suggested for awhile that the Vrod motor was originally a Buell project that HD took over. From what I have read, it sems that it was a 'hostile' takeover, with HD execs feeling that Buell should not have a more capable motor than HD. Buell funded & developed the 1125 motor directly with Rotax. HD authorized the development but was not involved. It has also been suggested that when the new HD CEO came aboard (Wandell) that a few HD execs that were anti-Buell/Sportbike were pissed off about Buell working with Rotax pushed for Buell to be discontinued. Who knows what was actually said... Anyway, that was a good read. He seems quite cordial, but I'd bet he is furious about quite a few decisions made by HD. Erik is a racer at heart, seems like he builds street bikes so he has money to build race bikes.
  21. Umm...k But it's not like a license plate is private information. Thousands of people see your license plate everytime you go for a ride.
  22. Off topic, but why do people insist on covering their license plates for photos?
