  1. But your tires are made of chrome and leather, right?
  2. Mine is 7 years old and about 625 lbs as it is setup right now. Riding technique is also going to affect how tires wear. Last time I had tires cup was probably 20 sets of tires and about 10 motorcycles ago. When you brake in relation to a corner, if you rely on engine braking, cornering technique, and throttle control are also going to play a role in how tires wear.
  3. My bike is nearly as heavy with more HP, I believe. I tend to ride it somewhat aggressively. I can get 6k out of a set of tires with even wear.
  4. Good. I was considering it, and I don't need another.
  5. This bike is nicely setup for touring it has lockable hard bags, backrest, and windshield. Plenty of power for cruising 2 up. Stock except for a V&H slip-on (comes with stock also). The ONLY thing it will need is a new rear tire in the next 1-2k...new rear tire comes with the bike. It currently has about 11k on the odo. It is extremely clean and has been properly maintained. I have it on CL for $4,400 and will listen to offers.
  6. On the birghtside, Tool is pretty bad ass. Add some weed to that, and you'll really be onto something.
  7. Bodyguard is sold. ***Edit*** Also sold - How about $400 for the SR45?
  8. A small number of bandit 400s were imported. I believe 1991-1993. It kind of looked like a Ducati with the red trellis frame. That little bike was a blast to toss into corners.
  9. I used to own a Bandit 400. One of the few bikes I regret selling.
  10. This is my political opinion for today
  11. If HD renames the Sportster to the Trumpster, I would totally buy one.
  12. The supersport seems like a supersport tourer to me. That's pretty much how I had my 600rr setup.

    Katana Hate?

Bleeding the brakes on my VFR will be a pita.
  15. Very few use belts. There's a couple BMWs. There's a practical HP limit, belts are more expensive to develop, and you can't easily change the gearing. ...but they are basically maintenance free, and a zero slack drive is a wonderful thing. Honestly the belt drive is the one thing I miss about my Buells.
  16. Idk, I thought the XB had more cornering capability. The belt drive was just fantastic unless you wanting to change gearing.
  17. Were the new Street Triples there? There's a new one with ohlins.

    Katana Hate?

I would guess that a bike intended for new riders intentionally has little initial bite.

    Katana Hate?

    I would pick a Ninja 300 over a Katana any day...just sayin.
  20. The best motorcycle that Erik ever developed was the XB9. It was simple, reliable, and had just enough performance to be entertaining. I've owned 2 of them. The XB12 barely had more power, but revved slower and the engine had a shorter service life. The 1125r had a design flaw in the charging system that killed an otherwise good motorcycle (I filed a lemon law claim and won). EB came very close a few times, but never had the commercial success he was after.
  21. I've said it before.... He's and innovative engineer, but he's also stubborn and a terrible businessman.
  22. Since you seem to have forgotten what you were disagreeing about in the first place... Again, I assumed Trump meant that money collected by US Customs in the form of tarrifs on products made in Mexcio would be used to fund the wall.
