  1. I wish you the best in your recovery Tim. I did basically the same L2 fracture & wind knocked out of me when I was a pup & my friend who didn't know his knots kinda tied the rope swing.
  2. Harbor Fright has a set of 1/2" drive hex "impact" drive sockets that range 6 to 19mm (including 17mm) for cheap.
  3. Now that's a real nice jacket, especially when matched with a hi-viz helmet. I would buy something like that.
  4. You really outdid yourself this year Sam. Thanks for hosting. The beer was real tasty & the food was great. It was good to see everybody that got out for this.
  5. Have to look at the radar tomorrow morning. I'll either be on a dirty bike or in a clean car & I definitely won't be on a vecelopede.. It'll be good to see all you misfits.
  6. 536 was sweet on that February ride. Can't wait till they get that GD dirt pile out of the way.
  7. I might be down for this. The route looks good. 260 is one of the best roads in OH when it's clean IMHO. Not worried about the food (I'll bring a sandwich) or the shirt.
  8. Thunderstorms at 10 & 2 maybe. May just drive down since I haven't even washed the kaw since last weeks hooliganism. Then again I could just ride down & get the bike washed & a million volt electric dry.
  9. Videos = evidence. Finished off a Drift at the track. My wife bought me a Polaroid Cube ($99) which works pretty good for a cheapie after I figured out how to mount it. Mostly I just leave it at home. Enough other people are out gathering evidence & It's a lot more fun to ride than watch videos.

    SE Ohio ride

Thanks Tony. It was fun to lead for a bit.
  11. I put the Bridgeports on my bikes & don't have any leakage issues & they do provide easy access. I don't think I paid $20-25 for them though because I'm a cheap ass, but I did buy them a couple years ago though.
  12. It's a Shore "A" that I use as an engineer in the printing industry.
  13. Oh, I thought you had your heart set on a Pit Bull. They are nice stands but stands aren't rocket science.
  14. A used Pit Bull stand is just as good as a new one. I got mine for $100.
  15. I've got a Shore durometer but I never even thought of using it on my tires. My tires wear out before they get old so I imagine they would measure about the same as when I put them on when I take them off.
  16. Ha Ha. I've got an $11 Accugauge that I use most of the time. I also have a liquid filled expensive Motion Pro gauge that hangs on my garage wall most of the time. It's purpose is to verify that my Accugauge is correct & it is.
  17. Good news Tony. Hope you're riding soon.
  18. I've read a lot of misleading stuff from supposed experts on weighting this peg or that peg. Keith Code makes the most sense to me---weight the outside peg & lock the leg to the tank for the sole purpose of taking weight off the bars & preventing unintended steering input like blue03636 said. Putting more than a smidge of weight on the inside peg is awkward & will actually cause you to make unintended steering inputs when you are hanging off or when you transition. Your bike doesn't know which peg you are weighting, It only knows the location of your center of gravity.
  19. If you're going to be riding the twisties at a spirited pace & haven't been riding that long, get a bike that's got 60-80 HP. These 25-35 HP bikes are no match for a motivated hillbilly in a pickup truck with manly man's syndrome even if you are going 15-20 mph faster when you initiate the overtake. 60-80 HP is not going to make you highside when exiting corners & that's the main concern about higher power bikes.
  20. Fuckin' race car with autofold mirrors & pizza findin" capabilities. Holy shit Tonic. What have you done?
  21. How did it compare to your blackbird in the passing arena? With the power commander it had to be about equal, right?
