  1. Unloaded my luggage. Thinking about washing it. Nah, tonight's beer night.
  2. WV>NC IMHO after that ride, even though we went slow as fuck on our sport tourers the whole way, not. You won't see a single picture so it either didn't happen, or you have an idea of our priorities.
  3. Looks like a real nice route. Going to have to ride that sometime.
  4. OK. Which category do you fall into? I didn't see a group for me or the guys I ride with, but I have met some that would fit into some of the profiles pretty good.
  5. Liter bikes are more fun. I have way more fun than Tim.
  6. That site is bullshit. This is marginally better: http://www.motorcycleroads.us/

    Bidding will start now.
  8. If I had thoughts about getting a cruiser I would seriously consider getting a sports car. That's just me though.
  9. While I was out riding yesterday my wife was out shopping for a dog at the Lorain county animal shelter. Picked up a 2 year old male beagle/German shepherd mix today. He seems to be a really nice, smart dog that hasn't been mistreated. Since he doesn't respond to his shelter name, Antony, we're naming him Tito Rabat. 1st non-golden retriever for us in 26 years.
  10. Good riding with you gentlemen today.
  11. In fo sho. Might have to split off later. Bring the Duc. It wants to be ridden.
  12. In fo sho. Might have to split off later.
  13. Japanese I4s do have soul. Its just evil soul that starts way up on the mph meter.
  14. Gauge makes the grip more predictable & keeps you from crashing sometimes.
  15. Back from the threadjack. If there's any way I can make your ride I will. Work seems eminent right now but If I can make it I will.
  16. Nice bike Nivin. Oh the shame of owning a new Ducati!
  17. I thought this was going to be your "I bought a busa" thread, you teasing bastard. I have two tire gauges, an Accuguage I bought at an auto parts place for about $10, & a Motion Pro liquid filled one that was considerably more expensive & guaranteed to some professional degree of accuracy. Both read exactly the same. The Accuguage goes with me & the Motion Pro hangs on my garage wall.
  18. Don't FJRs weigh about 650 pounds. If a 155 lb man decides he really likes sport riding & hangs off a bit it would be like a gnat hanging off of my eyelid. Keep the couch & get a bike that weighs in the 400 something range for an alternate steed. PM me Tonik if you want to test ride my cbr or ninja. I'm only over in north ridgeville & there is a test track known as West River Road nearby.
  19. Ordered a set of Ohlins last Thursday for a good discount & it arrived today. Mikes a stand up dude. He needs more business from OR folks.
  20. Crappy mileage on the cbr is directly proportional to your level of hooliganism. The mpg on my cbr has varied from 22 to 43 depending on the mood I was in.
  21. I second the motion. After chasing Tony up 556 etc yesterday I can attest that the VFR1200 is capable of going around corners at a pace that will get you home early. I would recommend a Ninja1000 but the damn things are chain drive.

    St. Rt 536

Thanks for the report on 536. I haven't been on it since losing it in gravel there in 2010. I was considering 536 for tomorrow's ride but I think not now.
  23. I rode a HD soft tail springer for about 15 miles on one of the nicer parts of WV 16. There was "nothing wrong" with the brakes except I couldn't squeeze the lever hard enough to make the bike slow down for the corners. These were corners that brakes would not be required on most bikes but due to this bikes tendency to grind down the floorboards when you tip them in 25 or 30 degrees I ended up cutting the test ride short & reclaiming my proper bike.
  24. Religion & the imperial measurement system. I'm not a fan of either.
