  1. I'm out to. Just not in the mood for a big group ride. Headed more east for some more technical roads. Have fun out there folks.
  2. Pauly. Thanks for the desmodromic tutorial. I thought it had something to do with bad metallurgy in the 1950s.
  3. I've never sued anyone in my life but I might consider it if I were in your shoes. Seems a doctor's negligence put you at higher risk for things like mersa infection & anesthesia complications, etc. You'll most likely luck out with that sort of thing & hopefully this guy won't keep doing this type of thing to others.
  4. Very artistic for a valve train. What problem was that designed to solve anyhow?
  5. Jeez. I hope that 4 cylinder motorcycles don't become obsolete. If I need to get somewhere, or out of somewhere, in a hurry I prefer a 4. That being said that Datona is pretty sweet for a 600ish bike. Have fun with the new bike Nivin.
  6. Holly & I went to St Elmo'S during the final Indy Motogp . Team Suzuki was sitting at the next table over. They had great steaks, pleasant service & blow your head off shrimp cocktails. We stayed at the Alexander downtown. Top notch.
  7. Congratulations. The "west" is a big place. If you stop in the Ozarks ride the Pig Trail for the twisties. If you get to the Pacific Northwest go along the west coast of the Olympic peninsula & hit up the Hoh rainforest for the scenery. I could go on & on but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Have fun man.
  8. Tpoppa & I were down 250 about 3 weeks ago. It was a nice ride. There was a little gravel in spots but nothing to Make you slow down too much.
  9. Hi Brian. Do you ever get the Z out anymore. If so, & you are free, The other Brian (Roamer) & I are headed to the southeast sector of Ohio to ride some twisties this Sunday. If you can make this we'll plan our route to meet up with you (McConnelsville?) Let me know. It's been a while my friend.

Hi Jim, Sorry, I am unable to make this Sundays ride. It’s has been awhile. Please keep me in mind for the next one. I ride the Z at least once a week with the wife and her Spyder just to keep the seals wet and her happy. More of a chore I suppose. I did ride the Z up to the Sand drags in Rogers, Ohio. Great time on a fresh front tire. Have fun, stay cool and safe. Brian

  10. With so much at stake my conscience won't let me make a symbolic vote. If Trump won & Johnson came in at 20% (fantastic by current forecasts) the economy would be battered, the constitution would go out the window, & the common people would be screwed. Good luck to the libertarians in the future & shame on the republicans.
  11. So, the choices are Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump this year. One of these two will be our next president. I definitely won't be voting for Trump as he is a loose cannon, has no experience, makes hateful shit up as he goes along, & has sociopathic tendencies. The only reason he is in the race is because of his huge ego. I'll vote for Clinton. She's made some mistakes that I'm sure she has learned from but there is no comparison between her & Trump's motives. She has people that I respect endorsing her. (Any democrats endorsing Trump?). She doesn't have top level national security people writing open group letters saying that she would be the most dangerous president in history. Those of you that are arguing ideologies of far right vs. far left are missing the point here. If you don't like either of them then don't vote. If you're voting for Trump, put on your brown shirt & go to the polls early & stay late to make sure I don't cheat.
  12. Good dude, good bike, good deal. GLWS Dave. Congrats on the Multistrada.
  13. Sorry about your bad luck Tony. Hope you have good luck on your surgery & healing. We need you back 100% for the 2017 riding season! I'm glad we got to do the WV ride before you got dealt the shitty cards. If you need any help because of the logistics of being laid up don't hesitate to call or text.
  14. My 1st ever group ride was with Uncle Punk as well. The guys on here were giving me flack for the Honda. He was nice enough to say that I could ride up front with him. It was quite a ride in the 97 degree heat.
  15. You're not old. I suppose I was a sophomore in high school when you were hatched & I'm not old yet.
  16. It is my understanding that "Mach retard" means stupid fast as in Wide Open Throttle in the straights, hard braking, then as fast as you dare through the corners. Not really appropriate for street riding. I've only been there a couple times & never on a group ride.
  17. This thread is absurd pretty much except for the OP & UP. This "mach retard" talk is bullshit. Certain people make me sound like hell on wheels but every ride I've ever led for OR has been at "the pace" as described by Nick Inetsch. Straightaway speeds are kept so that nobody get's their bike towed & goes to jail if they get pulled over. Corner speed may be considered brisk to some, but it is intermediate by track standards. Stay calm & just ride. I won't even be at this ride unless it's Sunday because I have a new dog & I have guys coming over to install two new sliding doors on my house that day. Thank you very much & have a good evening.
  18. I was just advised that I have prior commitments the Saturday of the ride. I won't wish for rain but if, by chance, the ride gets moved to Sunday I'm back in.
  19. If I can get the suspension dialed in by then, I'll be on the Honda.
  20. Pants are a requirement if you ride in my group, tee hee. I might make this.
  21. Sidi motocross boots make great touring boots. I've got a pair with over 100,000 miles on them & they've probably got another 100,000 in them.
  22. Great choice. Use your license points wisely.
