  1. I think Ducati probably did some intensive research on the subject. Why do you question their authority?
  2. Will be sold this Saturday. Would have been last Saturday if the Title bureau had not fucked up & I would have not fucked up by not reading the title they gave me.

    Ride 7-11

If you make it to 255 be advised that it is closed 1/2 mile north of 7. We ran it Sunday N-S-N and it was pretty sweet except for a couple spots of gravel.
  4. Out of break-in a few days now. I really think I'm going to get along real well with this bike. Keep in mind that to this point I've only owned I4s. My wife owned a Ducati Monster 696 & that was what got me interested in twins. This is my first bike with ABS & Traction Control as well. I had the performance & track packs (software) installed when I took the bike for break-in service (oil change lol) the other day. Still getting my head around this shit but it really amazes me what the bike is capable of. The wave-o-torque engine stirs my soul. Handling wise the bike seems light & is more "flickable" than the CBR1000RR I had. Suspension seems to work at least as well as the Ohlins that I had on the CBR. Still have yet to adjust the suspension to my personal preferences but I can't really complain about the generic settings at this time. I was starting to get bored with riding & this bike seems to have done the trick. Looking forward to a Sunday ride with some bubbys. on proper roads. Will report back.
  5. Reason for selling: I just got a brand new Super Duke. Would like more room in the garage.
  6. 2013 Ninja 1000 for sale. 17,300 miles. I bought it new in 2014. Non-ABS version. Stock except +1 tooth sprocket in front & 55 profile rear tire (vs 50 profile stock). Never down. Front wheel is a little ugly (but fully functional) from I480 road debris. 7 quarts of Amsoil, 4 oem oil filters, & EBC front + Galfer rear brake pads included. $3,500.
  7. What's the range on those bad boys? If I get any burn holes in my roof I'll know where to come. Have a blast on the 4th Tony.
  8. Looks like you done good to me. Did you pick up a couple more sponsors with that?
  9. Rode to work & learned how to work my steering lock & cruise control.
  10. Ktm colors. Orange & white with graphite colored tank.
  11. Just got my groove back. Picked up a 2018 Super Duke Saturday. It's damn nice so far. Cant wait to get it out of break-in. Will be putting the '13 Ninja 1000 up for sale shortly. Oh yea, Pony Powersports sucks. They didn't even call me back. Holeshot KTM in Akron; I went down there, cash in hand, the Saturday before memorial day & they were closed even though their website said they would be open. I ended up going to Barnes Brothers, south of Pittsburg.
  12. Those parking lot drills don't translate well to real street riding. Make sure she is looking all the way through the corners. Make sure she knows that as soon as the bike is tipped in to the corner she needs to roll on the throttle smoothly, evenly & consistently throughout the remainder of the turn (have her repeat this 1000 times). Her bike could be fucked up too. Have you ridden it? Does it have fueling issues at low throttle? This is common.
  13. Thread is amusing. Thanks.
  14. The proper answer to this question is NEVER EVER in my experience. Good luck on whatever agonizes you presently.
  15. Sending you this to see if you can recommend a good KTM dealer. Last Saturday I was down at Holeshot KTM in Akron (closed when their website posted as open + the guy is 70+ years old & I am wary about how much longer he may be in business), & Pony Powersports in Mansfield (Doesn't seem like they really want to sell bikes as the sales dude told me he would call me on Tuesday & never called.)  Any suggestions you could give me I would appreciate.

      CCM all day long.

      Clinton County Motorsports.

Best in the state by far, totally worth the drive. Almost 2 hour drive for me but I don’t hesitate to make it. Probably about the same for you

Thanks Todd.  I'll check them out.

  16. Bought several new ones without a test ride. I don't want to buy a "new" bike that someone else has been test riding. I assume that sales numbers at most dealerships don't warrant them buying a demo bike of each model. I've gone on several demo rides when the trucks came around but those rides were pretty much like sitting on the bike.
  17. I have no experience with warranties on any Japanese bikes (no Suzukis though). I've had (4) in the past 15 years, with over 100,000 miles (ridden at moderate pace of course) & have had no issues. Never even had to take one back to the dealership for anything. Oil the chain, change the oil & filters, brake pads, brake fluids, chain & sprockets, check the valves at recommended intervals (or not, even though checked, never had one out of spec) take pictures, keep receipts, no problems. Enjoy the new bike, don't get any speeding tickets.
  18. Barkin' at 60 here. As a wise old guy from Kentucky once told me "you gotta be tough son". I can relate on the knees though. Can't keep them crooked up for too long.
  19. Change the oil & filter, keep the receipts.
  20. I had a 250 Honda. The Kaw you are thinking of buying has a little bit more HP, but if you like to ride the curves that Ninja will leave you wanting. You can't pass slower moving vehicles & if they want to fuck with you they have all the advantage. It would be a little more fun than a small scooter I imagine.
  21. We're talkin' cars here aren't we. What model year is that Audi? The A4s are nice. I had the opportunity to rent one over in Germany & drive it at speed on the Autobahn.
  22. Congrats. Now we can go race down West River road.
  23. Tony, German cars are overrated & overpriced. Get yourself one of those Mexican cars with the plaid seats. You can test drive mine down West River road if you want. Let me know. It doesn't have the status symbol factor of the German cars but it's great fun & easy embarrassing the owners of the upscale German & Japanese cars in it.
  24. Still lots of suckers for the Con man I see.
