  1. Hola cheech, KY ride in September? We almost hit the next section of crazy road before we turned back around which was fine since Dave needed to go back. I'll send you the map. Its a 5 hour ride. : )
  2. I don't usually post on these, but this one just pisses me off. WTF?!
  3. I almost kinda feel sorry for him. It's cute in a way, but still weird.
  4. The curb stomp scene will make you feel real good inside. You'll know what I'm talking about when it happens.
  5. Lol, you're like the sixth person to say that. The Aprilia is a 1000cc V. Power is not the issue. My suspension however was designed for 150lb race jockeys in mind. Doh! So whenever I put another person on the bike it gets all out of whack. Lol. I see where you went there. I've had a 115lb girl up to a 170 lb girl on the back. Obviously its different at both ends of the spectrum but the bike isn't happy either way.
  6. Might want to bump up the preload on the rear spring depending on how much your passenger weighs. Otherwise the bike will sag a lot in the rear and completely throw off the dynamics. It will suck riding with a passenger. More clutch slipping and more RPM to get going. More brakes to stop, more planning your move, and way more attention to balance at lights, stop signs, and such.
  7. That's cool. I have to get this tire mounted still.
  8. I don't use the rear brake, and I've never had the front slip even under immense braking pressure. I dunno what's up guys? I can get on the throttle hard mid corner and they don't slip at all. Same goes for straight line stuff from a dead stop. Never slipped on me. I don't know if I'd think of them like Fram. Now shinko on the other hand.
  9. I think this just comes down to the fact that people are tired of him and are looking for anything, no matter how small, to impeach him and get him out of office.
  10. The current DQ rear has lasted 6500 miles and just showed cord. It's seen highway, rain, backroads, etc and i'm usually not light on the throttle so I think they've done well. I've never been scared by their grip levels. I'm trying the new Dunlop Q2s next season, and the season after that the Pirelli Diablo Corsa III. We'll see what I think after the next two years. At that point the bike will almost be at 50k at the rate i'm going.
  11. I don't say anything, but I always feel better when people show up for a ride with gear like when I led you and your friend around. Speaking of which, new tire goes on the bike soon. Wanna do that whole Sunday ride someday? We'll have to start early in the afternoon or weekend, its just over 2 hours long.
  12. Hate all you want, I like them and I WILL be buying the new Dunlop Qualifier Q2 when it comes out in September for the front and rear. They show a seriously marked improvement over the DQ in all areas and they have a dual compound tread. I don't buy into the Michelin hype.
  13. Same boat. I didn't do the 520 conversion but it's there and I'm unsure whether I should keep it. I seem to be getting pretty good mileage out of my chain. It doesn't seem to need adjustment too much.
  14. Damn man! That sucks. Glad to hear you're alright minus the knee. Gonna fix the triple up right?
  15. Haha, oh trust me, I will go to the grave penniless. I'm a materialistic bastard too, lol. But I respect your choice and view on this as well.
  16. As over-rated as it may be, it's a necessary evil if I want to pursue the career I want and the six-digit pay I want. Gotta pay to play.
  17. No joke, that bike never even came onto my radar when searching for a first bike, lol.
  18. Yeah, I'm 20. I think you can see where I'm going with this.
  19. Yeah, you're in the minority. I tried to think positive about all of this in the beginning but I've lost all hope. I'm pretty sure my generation is completely fucked.
