  1. I was busy playing COD Black Ops, and beating some kids for waking up their little brother.
  2. Actually, there is only one crank sensor, and it's a "7x" signal. From our repair info, which gets their info straight from the manufacturer, without reformatting it, here's what they say about the cam sensor: Basically, without the cam sensor, misfire detection may not be able to determine which cylinder is misfiring, and it won't know which injector to fire out of each cylinder pair (1-4, and 2-3) so it will fire each for that cyl pair at the same time, which COULD decrease fuel mileage, and increase emissions, but most likely not enough that you'd notice much other than the light being on.
  3. DO NOT MESS WITH THAT CAM SENSOR! The EGR stuck open is the first thing that needs addressed! The Cam sensor will almost NEVER make it missfire, or even run bad on that thing. The cam sensor is there just so that the engine will know what cylinder is which for misfire detection, and sequential fuel injection. The ignition is all run off the crank sensor, ONLY. I think it does have 2 crank sensors though, one that goes to the ignition control module (does all the firing of the plugs, provides the rough crank location to the computer. Then it probably has a higher resolution crank sensor, usually a 24x signal that's used for misfire detection, that runs straight to the computer.
  4. I just registered for the August 6 Advanced rider course. I would have liked to get in for the June course, but that's too close to the new baby arriving. I had a bit of a problem with their registration, trying to do things a bit different. It seems for the ARC, and ERC there's a checkbox for having a current endorsement. If you go to register from the course list, that did not come up for the ARC, but it came up when going to the register page and selecting the ARC, then selecting the location and course after that. Ugh...
  5. Sharp looking truck! GLWS. I've been pulling the trans and jacking the engine up to do the oil pan. Pull the turbo, and you have to remove the bell housing blots either way. Ane big plus is less of a mess, not having to open the cooling system. I've pulled enough transmissions in these things that it goes super quick, so that works out better for me. If it was my own, I would probably pull it and clean the engine, and engine bay at same time, but the customers don't want to pay the extra to do all that, most of the time.
  6. I'm disappointed in the guys. There hasn't been any in this thread yet? Welcome to OR!
  7. That is one beatiful bike! I don't really like Yamaha's but if I could come up with the funds for it, I'd be all over it. Someone needs to buy my Hon-duh, then I think I could do it! I had the same reaction as Pauly, nearly tearing up reading this. It would be awesome to see someone from ORDN get this!
  8. Thanks for the reminder! I'm pretty sure I'm going to sign up for the ARC-ST class.
  9. I have a relative that has sold his character for wow before. Yes, he's kind of a nerd, but he's also cool, and has a life.
  10. Cheap mofo's. Pony up at least 10%!
  11. Duck Tape. They make it in all sorts of colors, I'm sure one will be close to the red on a civic.
  12. Oh yeah? At least I don't run when challenged... At Call of Duty that is...
  13. That's easier than fixing it! Put a tail light in it, have a receipt for any parts you put on it, schedule your inspection, take it in, they look it over for stolen parts, you get a title that says rebuilt salvage, you drive it with a couple thousand dollars in your pocket. If ya want, find someone to put a quarter panel on it for you, could probably get it done pretty cheap, compared to what the insurance estimate says.
  14. Thanks! That's now one of my favorite wesites!

    Sad story.

Which is why I didn't read it at the beginning of the day. Door to door religion is going to save very few, if any. Hounding people with you religious beliefs will just make people want to push you away and not listen at all. Nobody wants some stranger to show up and just start preaching at them. I'm a Christian, and I don't think I would want to talk to someone just showing up at my door. Now if someone in the neighborhood wants to introduce their self, and become friends, that's another story.
  16. http://ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=63070 Or is there another reason?
  17. I've argued that one for a LONG time, even before I knew much about motorcycles.
