  1. I need to read the bill, or summary of it. I'm really not sure what I think in this one. I'm anti-union in most cases. But, when working with the government (ploiticians), it's a little different.
  2. Most gun stores carry the microvault, or the nanovault (I have the nano) and they are pretty sturdy. Pretty much any cable can be cut with bolt cutters, so can chains. If someone wants it bad enough that they have bolt cutters, not much will stop them. They dohave a couple holes in the bottom, so you COULD mount it on the floorpan, on the hump in the middle. A friend of mine has one there in his truck, I think it might be bolted down, I never paid attention!
  3. It's 1.8 miles from my driveway to the door at the shop where I work. I rode anyway!
  4. This spot reserved for a pic of my bike at work.
  5. If NASR is big on the HK, I would think they'd be good for accessories for them. Neither Buckeye or Gander seemed to have much for my XD, but I didn't get to look around much at Gander, the wife was outside waiting when I went there to get cleaning supplies. I need to buy some more ammo, so a trip to Gander and/or Buckeye is coming up. I knew I should've bought more when I bought the gun!
  6. No prob. I was just discussing with Josh that I would imagine that I'll go through a few to figure out what works best for me.
  7. I ordered one of those from ballisticreload.com. If you let me know when, I can let Josh take it home with him and you can try it out, as well. If I don't like it, I can always recoup some by reselling it. I've got a little while to figure it out.
  8. You're not right MT. Yeah, Ihop > all others.
  9. Nothing. Nick won't melt... Shit floats!
  10. Only about 8 miles, but the bike is out of the driveway FTW!!!
  11. There are a few like that, but some of them pop in from time to time and lurk.

    Fun

Big bore bikes suck. Everyone knows that the Ninja 250 is where it's at. Welcome to the board.
  13. Interesting idea! I recently tossed about 50 or so CD's. Wish I would've thought of this! Yesterday, I just rounded up some emtpy bottles here at the shop. The HDPE bottles seem to do better (oil, antifreeze, etc. comes in them) and PETE bottles seem to tear easily (such as pop bottles.)
  14. Damn it Tom, quit derailing threads!!! This is about the OP being seen logged in again! Geesh!
  15. It's recording on TiVo right now. I was busy cleaning my gun, and the wife was watching something else anyway. 3 of the 4 tuners of my TiVo's were recording, and 2 were gun related. I think I've caught the bug!
  16. Dude, you do wiring work all the time! Remote starts are a piece of cake. It's just not cost effective for a repair shop to install them.
  17. Oh, I understand what you're saying, and there have been times that I've ordered stuff online, just to not have to take the time to go get it! I'm going to bookmark that site anyway. That's interesting, because I've bought stuff from other places that are based outside of Ohio, but still got charged tax because they do business in Ohio. Maybe it's only if they do B&M business in Ohio? Doesn't really matter though, not being charged tax is good for me. BTW... You DO fill out the paperwork to pay that tax with your tax return, like you're supposed to, don't you?
  18. Looks like they might be cheaper when nobody has it on sale locally. How is it hat they sell to someone in the same state and not charge tax? I thought they HAD to. I checked out that site yesterday, and noticed that they weren't cheaper than Buckeye/Vance's on .40 ammo right now as well. I'll compare again when Buckeye/Vance's prices go back up. Just a note on your bad experience at Vance's Tyler, I went to Buckeye to buy my gun, and the wait was only 2 or 3 minutes, the check was probably less than 10. We were in and out, even after BS'ing with people in right around 30 minutes. If they have the price you like on something, I recommend going out there instead of in to Vance's.
  19. My wife was with me when I got the gun Sunday! Yeah, that's my story, too!
  20. I like Viper, or most of the stuff that comes from Directed. An older Viper is what I have in my car, and it worked flawlessly, other than a glitch from having the battery disconnected, which ended up just needing another power cycle. It was kind of cool that it happened though, since it got me off my lazy ass to finish connecting the rest, beyond just the basics needed to have it function.
  21. Even with the cheap ones, the install is the important part. Soldered wire connections for the important wires, or at least high quality crimp connectors that are heat shrinkable. Solid mounting and wire routing is important as well. If the hardware fails, you can just replace the unit with the same thing.
