  1. see the funny thing is i have valid tags, i have plates in my name, i have my lisence, and im going to be insured in the spring. all these guys just have their panties all in a bundle and 90% of them have no idea whats going on. they just go be hear say. if they knew the truth they would know that i have valid tags, plates and a lisence

the reason i was a dousch is cause every time i tried to ask a simple question on here, either the insurance shit would be brought up or i would just get bashed for no reason. it got old. i wasnt going to let them walk on me. after a while i had to defend myself which they took as being a dousch.

Dood... Can't you just let it go? The more YOU talk about it and the post moves back to the top, the more that MANY get to see it again and bash on you again.

People were going on what you had said. At the same time you were talking about power whoolies, you had another thread asking about the title issues, and on another forum looking for a frame with a clean title! If you are trying to resolve title isues, you COULDN'T have had tags for THAT BIKE in YOUR name, and insurance would have likely not been valid for that reason. Peopl were really trying to advise you to do the right thing, to keep you out of trouble, then you got all hardcore, and argumentative, and like you're better than everyone.

Please, keep that in mind in future postings, and be prepared to take a little shit, and remember that most of the time it's all in fun, or seriously good advice looking out for you. The peeps on here are generally good peeps, with the exception of a few (JRMiii ) that we just like to argue with!

  2. What I find so disturbing about this whole thing is it leaves such a broad interpretation of what excessive driving and speed ACTUALLY are. Who decides if your actions are worthy of an arrest or infraction? The officer writing the ticket has all the power is seems. Sure you can take it to court and hope the judge is not as bad a douche as the cop. But taking your bike away is just not right.

When you give working class people incredible power over ones life, such as the cop making a "street racing" judgement, you are at the mercy of THEIR morals and beliefs.

Does this mean you can't accelerate "hard" going on a ramp to a freeway?

Or use an evasive maneuver to distance yourself form a dangerous driver?

The scenarios go on an on.

Real street racing is one thing, but to leave the interpretation of the "crime" to the popo just ain't right.

Now don't get me wrong I have met some good cops and have even been let go with a few warnings. I guess I can't let 99% of the police give the rest a bad name. That wouldn't be fair :D

The thing is that they already HAVE this power in many ways. There are so many things that they CAN write someone up for that you wouldn't even think of! More laws means more opportunities for abuse of power, and I think that's the premise of this thread. Unfortunately, there are plenty of other ways that BAD LEO's can abuse their power, and be unfair.

  3. Well' date=' see the whole idea behind the way I did it was a play on the word "swing" and "swinger".

Used a capital SW as short for swing and added the 'R as a way to make it like swinger but different. Mike (ZeroCrash) had the idea and I ran with it.

Thought about changing my name after I got the Yamaha but had grown to like it :D[/quote']

And name changes get confusing. Look what happened to the Coshocton crew!:lol:

  4. BTW, to those talking about antec cases. I totally agree, my last case was an antec as well. The P182 is the most solidly constructed case I've ever owned. It is very sturdy and very classy in style. I've had so many cases that were so poorly constructed, sharp edges and thin sheet metal that bends easily. You get what you pay for that is for sure.

Just thinking back a little, cheap $20-30 cases USED to be built like tanks (they were PC beige though) and even had decent power supplies with them!

  5. Even though I have confidence in Sprint, I wouldn't be betting the farm on ANY of the communications companies. How long can they keep operating on the loss leader, cheap hardware model? They may be able to keep doing it forever, as long as the continue to be innovative. Bad thing for Sprint is that they MARKET innovation, and deliver somewhat less, but just enough to not be a failure, in my opinion....

  6. hey I have seen pics of the tractors so I believe you, as long as your soda machines are not really gumball machines that are not yours but a friends that his parents rent for you

Maybe Sam's 'rents bought him the livestock?

  7. ummm, that S-Wing was a 600cc

and sure, at first glance his moniker appeared to say "swinger"

But that didn't last long, heh...

After I got over what the screenname wasn't, I actually thought it meant the older siverwing BIKE from the 80's, before I realized they named a scooter silverwing.

  8. If you count the projector it is a 4 monitor set up right now. I've been running dual forever but recently moved the set up downstairs. Needed a new video card so I could connect to the projector, so I got a 2nd dual head card and hooked up 1 of the 21" CRTs I had laying around as well. Either way, hopefully I can keep this system as long as I did the last one. That was the idea anyway.

I have a laptop and so does my fiance but I mostly use this machine. It's good for surfing and such, but also is nice when editing videos and photos, I like to play HL2 DM on it as well. Now it will be good for putting youtube on the projector ;)

Can you even get a video card that's NOT dual headed anymore? It seems the majority of them are! I've tossed around the idea of another 8800gt, or something better to play crysis and move the 8800gt to the home server for folding.

Anyway, enough for the :hijack: Good luck with finding a buyer, OP!

  9. I've bee with him more than once doing triple digits. It was purdy funny.

I think that thing was a 500cc so it trumps "the fan" :D

Damn! Got me again on the fan! Being a 500 did it get near 70 MPG though! :D

I've ridden with him triple as well, noone is debating his riding or that a scooter is less manly... I really like riding with David, and he's a great guy... I just wondered why he was advertising he was a swinger... then someone said "no man, it's SilverWINGER"

This is purely who thought he was a swinger from the name :)! lol

I got to ride with David once so far, on a poker run (go ahead, make that comment punny someone, with swing'r and poker, someone HAS to) and we had a good time. He even posted a pic of me that was a bit "less than flettering" from one of the stops!

I am SO looking forward to next year, and getting to get in on some more group rides.

  10. Glad to see you graduated tp a BIKE before I joined and could make fun of you! The wife would've probably made me do it even. She REFUSED to let me even MENTION a scooter for her when she decided to start riding! She still won't drive a manual shift car, but is doing well on the bike! :dunno: I'm hoping it all comes back to her next spring when we get the bikes back out!

  11. IMO you shouldnt start em unless you are gonna ride em. if you do start em, let them get to full operating temperature.

Yuppers! I don't start it often, I have an issue with the starter on the ninja, and I was hoping that being inside where it was warm it would work ok, since it seems to be fine after riding for a little while, but no such luck....

  12. Antec cases are nice. I have a Sonata 3 (?) case, came with an Earthwatt 500 watt power supply. Mine's an Athlon X2 5000 black edition, overclocked a little, I can't remember how much ) Geforce 8800GT Vid Card, 4 GB DDR2, Raptor 74 (was 2 of them striped) primary drive, and 2 or 3 others, dual DVD-r, etc.... I also have a second system that's now my Home Server, with about 2 TB of space. All that and I pretty much use nothing but the laptop!

  13. Seeing that the italicized portion is the changed portion, there's not much of a change at all. It looks to me that it's not different enough from exisiting laws to worry about.

As I've said before, I don't think I'll be worrying much about it, as most LEO's won't even know of this, unless we tell them! The one that I was talking to about this hadn't heard anything of it, and he stays pretty well up to date on stuff.
