  1. I do like his songs. Doesn't he write a lot of his own stuff?
  2. Might want to start a new thread on this one, I would like to look into the video camers stuff as well. I don't want to use my SLR for video, else I would have not gotten the 40D, and waited for the 7D. That is a pretty sweet camera fo sho!
  3. To answer the title with a question: Aren't all cages pretty well useless when you're on a bike?
  4. That's why I replied with the "cool" smiley! And I'm not joking about the reply, and the cool smiley going with it......
  5. That's what I was wondering! It would be cool to say that you have a system with 1 TB of ram though! Now just to find a purpose for it.... Just imagine the electric bill to power tha ram alone, not to mention the rest of the system! Sorry if I'm turning geek-ish on ya!
  6. Here ya go Todd: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72jHhkApfi0
  7. Holy sheetz! I'm hoping you mean 1 TB hard drive, not RAM! I do find it interesting that they had free wifi! I know it was discussed in Newark, but didn't gain any steam as of yet. Dublin has a subscription based service, city-wide. I've also read about some other public wifi systems shutting down, due to cost issues.
  8. Sorry, can't make it! I kept forgetting to reply to you! We have a prior commitment. We would like to go, but just not in the cards for us this time....
  9. WiFi? I'm surprised they even have computers! I thought the ones that are on here were the exception, and were on dial-up!
  10. Both that I curretly own, which are the only 2 that I've ever owned! The Ninja 250 because it's so light, and even though it lacks power (by a lot) it's fun to ride, not to mention a consistant 60+ MPG!!! I like the Interceptor because you just don't see many old sportbikes anymore, I've always liked the V4's from the sidelines, and even more now that I have one, and it has more power than the 250! I have a feeling that I'd like it even more with some suspension work!
  11. Thread hijacks are the norm around here, especially lately!
  12. Digital Rebel, or film Rebel? Opps, I see it now, I didn't read all the way through.... I think I gave the Typing Cat grief over that one day, and now I FAIL.....
  13. I wonder how many people really don't know about that "bracelet?"
  14. See what I mean about brand loyalty? There are areas that Nikons are better, but for my purposes, personal, prosumer use, Canon is good, all around. Nikon? Really? Have you been Please don't turn this into a N vs C battle though, I'm just messin!!!
  15. Where's the ROFL-copter? That is FUNNY!!!
  16. Just don't piss off the Strictly Street dude!
  17. I would thing the ball bearings out of many of the sealed bearings used in most cars these days woudl work fine! I know where I can get a few (hundred over a short period of time) of those! Also, you could go to the toy aisle and buy some Magnetix, or Magnext (whatever they're calling them now) as they have steel balls in them that are close to 1/2 inch diameter.
  18. The 500 lens options is what I like the most about the SLR! There is no P&S out there that can cover the focal length of 2 good zooms at nearly the same level. I often find a need to shoot in low light, and the 2.8 aperature of my 2 most used zooms, or my cheap-o 50mm f/1.8 cannot be compared to any P&S. That said, they HAVE come a long way with the P&S cameras, and they do get usable shots that used to only be attainable with a SLR..... Still prefer my SLR for the control though. One thing to do might be get a decent point and shoot, and learn about all the settings, and what they do, and how they effect the pictures you take, then if you want an SLR, you'll still have use for the P&S for keeping with you when you don't want to carry the SLR (riding the bike?) I'm still wanting a good P&S to keep with me, as I would take MANY more shots than I do now, due to the burden of the size and weight of the SLR.
