  1. But not as good as fixing the source of the noise!
  2. What's the plan for this weekend? Smoked peanut butter and jelly?
  3. MT's too short to make anything other than a lowball offer. Seriously though, he's a deal maker! He knows how to make a few $ on stuff that he buys and sells. He's fair when he sells stuff, too.
  4. Needs to handle more than 12 amps listed on the label, Streets!
  5. This. Imports are known for putting an insane number of grounds on an engine. Here's a link for ya to show the ones to look for: http://www.yotatech.com/f116/22re-ground-wire-locations-guide-194413/
  6. I thought there were a couple grounds on the head? Isn't there one to the valve cover, too? It's also possible that one of the ground wires got damaged when moving the wiring around, due to the age of the truck. Just throwing out some possibilities! I'm sure that Rawlins will get you cleared up, though!
  7. And here I thought I was the only one rocking the old Kicker ZR amps! Double check and make sure all the engine grounds are good.
  8. This. ALL shops are more likely to go out of their way for a loyal customer, and it sounds like you are. If you were the guy that did roll in there with the jiffy lube sticker that's 1500 miles overdue, with little to no history with them, AND you come in with a demanding tone, good luck with getting anything more than the minimum level of customer service. I would hope that the techs are smart enough to do the best job they can regardless of the customer.
  9. I have learned a few things working at a dealership. One of them being that the guys at the dealership want to fix your car, but they also want to get paid for it. They have to have everything in order to get paid by the manufacturer for warranty repairs. I don't know about Mazda, but I know GM makes the dealership keep the old parts, and can call for those parts at any time with like 90 days.
  10. Oh yeah, seeing that you're not up north where Pauly can take care of you, I'll chime in a :plus1: for Hoblick at Shop Dog Cycles.
  11. Except Pauly is an Not really, but even if he was, he still does know how to take care of bikes. Welcome to the Ohio Riders madness!
  12. Running as hard as you say, SOME oil burning is to be expected, although it sounds like you may be using a little more than should be sane. My 250 burns a little, but I'd guess that it's less than the 6oz. in 500 miles that you're seeing.
  13. The first mention of going to Disney already told us that your sanity is GONE. I'm watching this, and I have talked with a people here and there that have gone, because with the gang I have it's inevitable that we will be going there.
  14. I really need to get out and put some miles on the bike this year, but the family comes first! (Not to mention old age is starting to set in, I need to get my self into some kind of shape other than round...)
  15. Are you planning to work a fourth job for a while to pay for this? The short duration of the trip should help keep the cost down, but going to see that mouse ain't cheap!
  16. I'd say store it with the battery disconnected for the winter.

I didn't know you had something else. I guess I'm WAY out of the loop this year!
  18. Wow! Usually when I get cinna-twists they're pretty good! Sometimes even too much sugar and cinnamon!
  19. Linked to someone that might be interested.
  20. I thought you were smart enough to figure that much out, it never hurts to have an occasional reminder of the basics! How well does the piston push back? Maybe the hydraulics are holding some pressure on them, but not enough to feel the difference?
  21. I average going to a bike night about every 2 years, I don't think I'll be going.
  22. ^^^ I was too nice to type that, glad someone did!
  23. It sure sounds like something is keeping the caliper from sliding, or it's off center of the rotor. In reality, you're likely to have more wear on the pad on the piston side, but not half of the pad difference!
  24. Ebon never does when riding! He's THAT good! Not sure if I'm going to make it.
  25. Oh, you might want to start a new topic with the CENTRAL prefix, as the prefixes mean part of the state, not part of Columbus!
