Probably more accurate to say it is the only bike I have not eliminated from consideration. The Yammy has engine issues for me, it red lines at 4200 so you have to shift up and down all the time. The BMW is not that comfy for the wife and I have serious reliability concerns with it. FJR is too small for serious 2up and no storage. The Kawi hasn't been updated, so no point buying the same thing. I don't need to get rid of it, it is in top shape and a great bike. But we have been on it 5 years, time for a change.

No. Liability for a mechanical failure either real or imagined that causes a crash is too high. Even if it is meritless you still get screwed. Plus all the income tax issues and potential asshats. Bubba's deal was rare, and he was pretty well vetted ahead of time.

That was the tact we took when we started. And I was asked about that during testimony so it was a concern in the House. They added that all on their own, no idea why but it was the Senate Transportation Committee that did it.

When did you start believing that the press will give you an accurate description of anything? The exception is quoted below...for protection only. That change was actually made by the Senate Transportation committee last year when they worked on it. "(6) Any person wearing earphones or earplugs for hearing protection while operating a motorcycle."

I like the way this is going down. Whatever form the gas tax increase takes it is going to sail through and get signed. Once signed it becomes law in 90 days.We will be legal this season.
