And another thing. I am waiting for a pump and a different BMW rider finishes and decides he has to be ATGATT for the 10 foot trip from the pump to were we are parking for our break. Gets all his stuff on, gets on the bike and decides his glove straps are not right...so he readjusts them.
And another thing. What kind of group leader has you stop at some hole in the wall crap gas station when just a few miles down the road is a gas station that has CBD and adult toys?
He was still almost out of gas due to bad advice from you. How big a tank is, while empty, is pretty damn irrelevant.
Matt: Right now I got 5 gallons of air in there.
Pauly: No you don't, you have 7 gallons of air.
Me:
My wing came with a very large opening that would easily take a diesel nozzle. Guy on the Wing forum tested it, it fit easily.
It is one of my few complaints about this bike. The system they came up with for filling is the perfect setup for creating geisers.
If someone is stupid enough to be seconds away from putting diesel in their bike do you stop them or wait for the fun?
I am talking credit card swiped reaching for the nozzle close.
Of course, as long as we are clear it is not my fault if you ride it and then go buy one 4 days later.
I could meet you in the middle this afternoon of you want. Tomorrow I will be down by the river in SEO. You can meet me there. Don't know the route yet other than 556..and will be coming down 93 and 83 then probably across 78.
Next weekend is a holiday and I am pretty opposed to riding on holiday weekends.
Most of weekends are pretty flexible.
I also have unlimited time off at work, so with a bit warning can blow a weekday off. Depends on meetings that day.
Very low. Look at the engine compared to the axles. Very low. The tank is mostly under the seat and goes more down than back. The other thing they did was the double wish bone suspension. It's purpose is to create a suspension where the wheel moves mostly straight up and down. That allowed them to move the engine forward a great deal. That helps balance and makes it handle far more sporty. It also means no triple t or forks that come all the way up. Less top weight.
There are three kinds of street motorcyclists these days.
Those that have a new wing.
Those that want a new wing.
Those that have not realized yet they want a new wing.
Sport touring.
Nice chart at the bottom of this article shows the differences in the models. The 2021's have a larger trunk. 2020 and 2021 have a slightly different throttle map in sport mode. Those two years also get the driving lights for free.
They are way behind the EU emissions requirements. They stopped selling in the EU a couple years ago. So I think not. I think it and the Voyager will stay as is until new US sales of them drop to the point it isn't worth it to them.
