  1. It's not even the same thing. Rel is blue crab bisque. Marks is crab bisque. F'ing heathen.
  2. Of course, as long as we are clear it is not my fault if you ride it and then go buy one 4 days later. I could meet you in the middle this afternoon of you want. Tomorrow I will be down by the river in SEO. You can meet me there. Don't know the route yet other than 556..and will be coming down 93 and 83 then probably across 78. Next weekend is a holiday and I am pretty opposed to riding on holiday weekends. Most of weekends are pretty flexible. I also have unlimited time off at work, so with a bit warning can blow a weekday off. Depends on meetings that day.
  3. Very low. Look at the engine compared to the axles. Very low. The tank is mostly under the seat and goes more down than back. The other thing they did was the double wish bone suspension. It's purpose is to create a suspension where the wheel moves mostly straight up and down. That allowed them to move the engine forward a great deal. That helps balance and makes it handle far more sporty. It also means no triple t or forks that come all the way up. Less top weight. There are three kinds of street motorcyclists these days. Those that have a new wing. Those that want a new wing. Those that have not realized yet they want a new wing.
  4. Sport touring. Nice chart at the bottom of this article shows the differences in the models. The 2021's have a larger trunk. 2020 and 2021 have a slightly different throttle map in sport mode. Those two years also get the driving lights for free.
  5. They are way behind the EU emissions requirements. They stopped selling in the EU a couple years ago. So I think not. I think it and the Voyager will stay as is until new US sales of them drop to the point it isn't worth it to them.
  6. Not sure why I didn't think of this sooner. You need one of the new gen Goldwings.
  7. I have had neither but would vote FJR. Cruise is huge on the highway. It also received some pretty decent upgrades in 2016. I would want the ES model. The Connie has not been upgraded in forever and is getting really long in the tooth.
  8. I plan my routes and days based on their hours of operation.
  9. Fuck yes. You have to get a bowl of the blue crab bisque. Not a cup. A bowl. Cash only. Do not sit down before your whole group is there...like if you are meeting other people there.
  10. That means you miss one of the days I routed out above. I would suggest missing Devil's Triangle. That is the weakest day of the three. Make them ride it on the 11th.
  11. There is a way to do that, but I only followed @Pauly or @2talltim Let's see what they have to add.
  12. Oh, and don't be sucked in at Bushy Mountain. It is an ATV area now and they have this fake moonshine and shitty BBQ. Hold out for Coal Smokehouse. And watch for the mud on that section of Devils Triangle. The ATV'ers have kind of taken that area over.
  13. Ok, gonna leave the 10th up to you. It is 7 hours by slab to there from CBus. 11th Tonik's famous route. If you go clockwise you will be too early to eat at Cafe Rel. If you go counter clockwise you have to go across the Skyway in the morning and it may be damp/wet/foggy. https://goo.gl/maps/BPzHpxaD6anWqKvV6 12th Do this one clockwise so you get past Gatlinburg before the tourist clog the roads. In Maggie Valley is the Wheels Thru Time Museum and Carvers Maggie Valley Rest. for Brown Trout. This is also a second shot at an early dinner at Cafe Rel. https://goo.gl/maps/92QKZpFcTC8aR12aA 13th I would round trip the Devils Triangle area, gonna be hard to hit that on the way to Marion since it is totally in the wrong direction. Unless from Rocky top you slab it. And you will miss the really fun way to get there that I am going to suggest for the 14th. This is one way to Rocky Top and Coal SmokeHouse and the two sides of the triangle you want. Return you can slab through Knoxville (not far or bad) or you can come back the same way but cut off the two sides of the triangle and use 330 to short cut it. https://goo.gl/maps/pUceeUXoL5iMaMpb6 14th To Marion. Beginning is lame but not bad. Then you get Crabtree, 209, 212 and all that. Crabtee is paved, but I have not been on it in a few years. It could be rough. https://goo.gl/maps/VRrGprbfdvB7hMQj7 15 Straight up 16 until you run out of time to get home then you grab the slab. Marion to Beckly is the best part but it is all really good. https://goo.gl/maps/GCaUDW4S6Db7cHpJ6
  14. Lol, more questions. Where is the Airbnb?
  15. One more question. How many days total for this? Would you be open to leaving the evening before. So for example if you are doing Thur through Sunday would you be open to leaving Wed after work.
  16. And what is your plan for getting down there?
  17. @BlitzBefore I map this all out I need clarification. You want a 2 day run mapped that gets you from the Gap to home and hits as much of the above as you can?
  18. They are really hard to get right now and are selling for full list plus. Mine is an 18, I could sell it now for more than I paid for it. It's crazy out there.
  19. But for the record, those are awesome bikes, you did well. Very well.
  20. When you ride mine you will change your mind. Ask Pauly, he road mine for an hour. Three days later I was driving his ass to Chicago to pick one up.
  21. He screwed you man, he should have talked to you about a Goldwing.
