  1. Good to hear you are ok!! Terrifying to look behind you and see nothing but smoke and headlights...

I stop far to one side of the cage in front of me just to make escape easier. (I also watch my mirror like a hawk until I have another cager stopped behind me for a shield.)

    Amen brother' date=' amen.

Did you let the cager know how you felt regarding his driving skills afterwards? It's important for them to learn lessons from these little indiscretions...

A cage tried to move over on top of a guy I was riding with, didn't see him I suppose...

At the next light he got off his bike walked up to the car and kicked the rear view mirror right off the car. The he screamed at the driver "You don't use it, you don't need it"!

No police report was ever filed.

  2. Back to the original topic here;

I saw the story that she was stepping down.

    I do wonder why?

As to the news reports. They rarely get the whole story right.

Nor would I expect her to tell them what she is really doing.

From the level of venom the media has shown her I doubt shes saying much they can use.

On the other hand, I'm sure there is much behind the scenes we don't and won't see.

    Wait and see.

  3. don't go eating too much.....pizza.....wasn't that on the plan today?

Somehow managed to miss lunch and dinner yesterday.

    So something today seems required.

    I like pizza too!

I'll save some room for it.

  4. I've got a great ride that takes about a couple of hours. It runs around Alum (stop at Cheshire for a slice of the best pizza you ever had), then out to the Scioto. No traffic, great roads. I'll go at around 3 or 4. If you want to meet up, lemme know. Hey Strictly Street, You'll like this circuit.
I liked the 188 ride too. Especially the corn field action I saw. :)
Thanks, but I think we want to keep this local for now. I need a few more rides before my confidence level (in myself and in my bike) is to the point where I'll ride for hours in the middle of nowhere.

How's meeting up at noon @ Iron Pony sound for everyone? Radar looks great, don't expect any more rain for the rest of the day.

    Meet at IP, sure.

    When is the question.

If noon I got to go.

If 3PM a nice lunch might be first, yum, lunch.

  5. So is anyone around Columbus riding tomorrow? (Sunday 7/5)

Haven't seen anyone mention anything. I'm looking to get out for a couple hours somewhere tomorrow.

    Forecast looks good after noon.

Here's the thing though' date=' I'm on "backup on-call" which means there is the slim chance I could have to

drop out in the middle of the ride and head back to C-bus if the "primary" on-call guy gets slammed (which I don't anticipate).

So if anyone is looking to ride, post up some details or ideas![/quote']

I'll watch this thread, might be up for a ride. Depends on where, when, what, ya know the pesky details. :)

  6. Gooners are the most loveable of the enemy, I'll admit.. but the enemy nevertheless. I'm a displaced Brit myself, funny that we should all meet up on 'Give Us Our Bloody Country Back You Thieving Yanks' day.

    See you guys round..

Ah, no. But thanks for asking! :D

We have more than a couple Brits here.

Although I have only met MRBRET I look forward to meeting the rest of you.

What better place to do it than on a OR bike night!

    :motorcycle:

  7. My only time off is Sunday's after noon, and I am really untreated in meeting some of you peeps, have been on here for few months now and don't k ow any, was thinking about smoking some hookah in Akron this sunday's afternoon but if some people wana meet, ride around or anything like that I'd be more interested, can meet anywhere around new phila or canyon Akron, and if not, I'll be smoking my hookah that evening

done with work around 7, gotta be home before midnight, or my wife will let me hug her not that night :p and sleep in the living room

so what do you guys think ?

Too far away for me. I stick to C-bus mainly.

  8. I was behind you in the traffic, I think. Heading back from Hooters I saw a bike go by me in the center lane that from the vid could have been yours with the windshield and all.

Nice vid with the helmet cam. Pretty good resolution for night. I'll have to add a cam to my wish list.

    Traffic was a mess.

  9. I am thinking about coming but I would like to know exactly what the parade would entale (length of parade, time in parade...ECT). It sounds like fun and a good place to meet some other bikers so I would like to I just want to be sure it would be for me!

So they say deaths come in threes… First Ed McMahon, Then Farrah, and Finally Michael Jackson…

But right now for a limited time… Well throw in Billy Mayes for free!!!!

    Love the sig.

    Parade is approx 4 miles,

  10. Couldn't make it, had to go see some fireworks with the family.

Too bad about the rian! I got a few sprinkles when I was out to lunch yesterday, but nogood shower or anything!

Man, I got soaked. Took all night for my jacket to dry out.

And there I was telling everyone else that there would be no rain.

    Hah! What do I know!?!?!
